With a sigh, Ainslie ran a hand through her red locks. She strode into Rosewood Mansions confidently, smiling to a few of the familiar faces. She didn't get to Rosewood as often as she should. She was constantly at Biella, because she knew Colette fairly well and Dolce, because she liked the laid-back attitde and acceptance. So she had come to Rosewood just to... check up. See how things were running, what changes she had missed all that. Plus, though she would never admit it, she really needed to get out. Eloise had been in the front room, playing with Charlie and it had been tearing her heart in two. Stupid internal clock, telling her to have babies. She frowned briefly at that thought. She didn't a man. She didn't need a baby. (But, she would never admit it, but she wanted both.Badly.) She sighed and shook her head. Whatever. That could wait. She had a job and that was more important.

Sargon was absentmidedly pacing around Rosewood. He had some free time, and he didn't know what to do. Visiting his sister was probably a bad idea, and Cor was probably busy. So he was bored. And walking a thinking was what he did to keep himself somehwat amused.
And his thinking were so deep that he did not notice when he walked straight into a pretty red-haired lady. "Oh, I'm sorry," he said sincerely, smiling apologetically at her. What was it with New York and all the pretty mutant girls? (He assumed this girl was a mutant, what else would she be doing here?)

She was on her way to find Axel or maybe Dean when she was walked into. She was about to rage on the unruly student who had carelessly knocked into her when she realized, well, it wasn't an unruly student. It was, in fact, a very handsome adult. So she stowed the rant and instead mustered up a flustered smile, willing the blush on her cheeks to fade. She cursed her pale skin.
"It's all right," she said with a grin. "Really, I should have been paying better attention myself." She wondered if he was a teacher there. He had to be. He was definitely over nineteen, at least. "Are you knew here?" she asked, curious. A moment later, she laid a hand to her forehead and rolled her eyes. "Whoa, Excuse my rudeness, please. Ainslie Darling," she introduced herself. "I'm the professor and founder of Belleze Francesa."

He waved off her apology, becase it most certainly had been his fault. He smiled at her blush, although he didn't really know why she was blushing. "Yeah, I am new here." He was about to ask about her when she introduced herself.
"Ah, so I finally get to meet Miss Famous!" he joked. Of course e had heard about her --who hadn't? "So, what brings you here to Rosewood?" he inquired. "If it is appropriate of me to ask," he amended with a small smile. She was rathe pretty.

"Yeah, I am new here." She nodded, she had thought so. "A teacher?" she asked. It was either that or a professor's assistant.
"Ah, so I finally get to meet Miss Famous!" She chuckled at that, shaking her head. "Of course, The Famous Ainslie Darling," she joked. She didn't take her fame into much account really. She liked the money, only because it allowed her to do the things she wanted to: like start Belleza. Not buy bags and clothes and shoes and cars and all that. She didn't really care about that. But she liked that she could, as cliche as it sounded, help others. She had money and she liked to give it to others. It was why she donated and volunteered and, most importantly, had started Belleza. She smiled at her accomplishments.
"Hopefully my fame will not be too intimidating to such a peasant as you!" she put on a faux-condescending voice and stuck her nose in the air. She was very obviously joking and ended up breaking into laughter at the end.
"So, what brings you here to Rosewood?" he inquired. "If it is appropriate of me to ask,"
She shook her head, waving a hand at him. "It's fine. Nothing of any consequence, actually. I realized that I don't really know my way around Rosewood so I thought I'd pop in. Clearly I was right, as I didn't know about you." She chuckled and softly touched his arm. "So what brought you to Rosewood?"

"Yup," he agreed, nodding. "Havent been teaching long, though." He smiled. He lived to teach--the kids were so fun. Made him remember what it was like when he was a kid. He hadn't had such a great childhood, but that couldn't be helped. He just wished he had gotten to see more of his sister growing up--he had come to her house, expecting to see the pretty little girl in her pink dresses with bows in her hair, but hw was way off. She was married to a psycho bastard, with six kids! It had been quite a surprise.
"For such a lowly peasant as me, basking in your golden glow of fame is of the highest honor," he replies back seriously, the only hint of his jokingness sparkling in his eyes. He was a fun guy, and Ainslie and him were getting alon well so far. Apparently they shared a sense of humor, if not more.
He smiled at her comment, although he wasn't sure if he understood it correctly. He sighed at her question, trying to figure out how best to put his words. "Well, I ran away as a kid, so I didn't get much training with my powers. I only stayed in New York cuz of my little sister, who didn't even know I existed. When I first met her, it didn't turn out too well. I didn't know what todo with myself then, so I just.. Applied for a teaching job, hoping to earn money and help kids who were like me; unable to fully control their powers an stuff." He thought it was a ether long and unneccesary reply, but she ha asked. He shifte his weight onto his other foot, smiling softly at Ainslie b

"Yup," he agreed, nodding. "Havent been teaching long, though." She smiled softly at that. The look on his face... Well, Ainslie had learned to read people at a young age; her family got bullshitted rather often. And as a professor, she had to learn which of her teachers really wanted to teach and which were just in it for the money and nothing else. And the look on this one's face... He loved it. She could tell. Lucky Axel that he had gotten this one first...
She laughed open and heartily at his return of the joke. Awesome. Sometimes her flippant apathy toward her own fame put others off. She was glad he didn't feel that way. And he was able to joke back about it. Definitely nice.
She listened closely as he spoke, brow furrowing. Poor guy. She had gotten lucky with her family. Despite their fame and fortune, they were close. at least, she and her brother and sisters were. And her parents were good enough, if not exceptional. "Oh wow. Sorry things didn't go so well with you and your sister. Is she a mutant too?" If she was, Ainslie most likely knew her. "It's good that you're doing this, though. Helping the kids, I mean. That's why I started Belleza; thought I would put my fame and money to good use, you know?"
Chuckling a little, she blushed. "My mother would kill me for my rudeness," she stated on the ends of laughter. "You are...?" she trailed, requesting a name. Man that good-looking had to have a good name to go along.

"Yeah, she's a mutant," he said absently, thinking back from their childhood. She had always been the smart child, helping him with his homework an stuff, even at a young age. And she had been a cute girl, too; bright blonde hair, curious blue eyes. He had loved her. But then he had left her, with no recollection or any memories or hints at his very existence. He hadn't been that good of an older brother...
"Oh yeah," he nodded, with a small grin he added, "Tskes a special person to nor squander their fame and riches on material items, too." Meaning, of course, that currently he considered her as some form of special. So special, in fact, that while he was sort of lost in her eyes, her question hardly registered in his brain.
His name... His name... Oh shit, what was his name?! "Uh, Sargon. Sargon Anaklusmos." A strange sort of name, he realized. "Oh, but you can call me Sarge," he amended hastily. Why did his parents have to name him with a name like that? Sargon?! At least Amarie wasn't bad off with her name. Bur Sargon... Really? Just talking about his name with Ainslie made him a bit self-conscious about it.

"Oh?" she questioned. "What's her name? Perhaps I know her." She ran a hand through her hair, adding on, "If you don't mind sharing, of course." Ainslie tended to be fairly blunt when talking to others. She had a problem of not realizing that not everyone wanted to tell her everything. It had been worse when she was a teen, but she had gotten a little better lately. She excused herself after what could be considered a rude question, at least.
"Oh yeah," he nodded, with a small grin he added, "Takes a special person to nor squander their fame and riches on material items, too." She blushed a little, chuckling. "Thanks," she murmured, a little embarrassed. Christ! She had barely been speaking to this guy for thirty seconds and already she was getting fluttery like twelve-year-old with a schoolgirl crush. She took a steadying breath, noticing that he was looking directly into her slate-blue eyes. Her heart skipped a second from the intensity of his eyes, so like her own.
"Uh, Sargon. Sargon Anaklusmos." Sargon. Sargon. She liked it. She liked it a lot. It sounded strong and secure. And those were two things that Ainslie definitely liked in her men: strength and security. She could hit herself; already thinking that way. He wasn't one of her men. Jeez. No matter how very much she'd like him to be... Another blush found her cheeks, just from her train of thoughts.
"Oh, but you can call me Sarge." She cocked a brow, grinning a little. "I think I like Sargon better, if you don't mind." Sarge seemed too....uneducated to her. Too military. Sargon just...fit him. Somehow. Which was ridiculous, but that's how she was thinking.
And she recognized the last name, but she couldn't fit it to a person. Anaklusmos... Which one was that? Not Emma... Not Josslyn... Oh well, she would just have to wait for him to tell her which one was his sister.

"Amarie," he stated simply. Usualy the name sent a thrill of excitement through him, but ever since that thing with her husband (her HYSBAND, fuck it!) he wasn't so excited. She had been skeptical of him. It had not gone how he expected. Deciding to clarify his sister more for Ainslie, he added, " Blonde, twenty, six kids a dog and a crazy psycho husband?" His voice was sort of sour. No, she had not reached his expectations. Although her husband might have had some affect on his first impression of her.
She liked Sargon better? He shrugged mildly and smiled. "Whatever you prefer. Although if course, if you wish you could attach a 'His Majesty' or 'His Ecxcellence' to the front." He grinned, showing he was joking. "Hows that for you, fame girl?" he laughed, a large smile on his face.
He decided to turn on his Empathy, and was slightly surprised by her emotions? Was he reading them right? He hoped. Because if such a beautiful woman felt as he did... Nothing could go wrong, right? He decided flirting couldn't be too bad, for a while. Anyway, this girl had the qualities he liked; humor, kindness...

Amarie, right. Ainslie knew her, vaguely. Knew of her at least. They had met on one or two occassions but only briefly. She had just married Emma's ex, Saikoro. They had a whole litter already too, apparently. "Blonde, twenty, six kids a dog and a crazy psycho husband?" Ainslie chuckled a little at that before grinning sympathetically. "I take it you and Saikoro didn't get along?" She winced a little. She hadn't had too many encounters with the man but she knew he could be...difficult. To put it nicely.
"Whatever you prefer. Although if course, if you wish you could attach a 'His Majesty' or 'His Ecxcellence' to the front." Once more she found herself laughing outright. She loved a guy who could make her laugh. Eyes shining, she let out another trail of giggles at his next question: "Hows that for you, fame girl?"
"Oh, all right," she said. "Someone thinks highly of himself!" Controlling her laughter, she shook her head. "Well, Your Majesty Sargon, I seem to have met my match. In that case, you may call me Most High and Opalescent Goddess," she teased. "Or, you know, just Ainslie. Whatever works." She passed him a grin, enjoying herself.

"Dont think he likes me," grinned Sarge guiltily. "I hadn't been around kids in a while so I kinda messed up. He ended up tossing me out a window, heh," admitted Sarge with a small smile. Why was he telling her this? A woman he had barely known for a minute or two. May e t was because he was sort of attracted to her? Maybe he jsy sort of needed to tell someone about it?
He grinned at her laughter. He liked making people laugh. It made him feel good. The other day he had made Lyra laugh, an it was a wonderful feeling. It was good to realize he could at least make someone happy for a little while.
"Oh, I think highly of myself, Most High and Opalescent Goddess Ainslie?" he asked jokingly, raising his eyebrows at her with a smile, chuckling slightly.

"Dont think he likes me," Ainslie smiled softly to him. "He doesn't like most, from what I've heard." Though, she had really only heard from Emma, Cian and Dean, so that was a little biased. But still, Saikoro had a...temperament about him. "I hadn't been around kids in a while so I kinda messed up. He ended up tossing me out a window, heh," She gasped at that, lifting a hand to her mouth. "Oh my gosh. Are you all right?" She rolled her eyes at herself. He was standing there, wasn't he? "I mean, of course you're all right, but..." She shook her head, letting that sentence die.
"That was entirely unnecessary of him," she stated, a little angered. Unless threatened, mutants weren't really supposed to attack each other, especially not with their powers. She frowned, wondering if she should let Colette know about this. After a brief consideration, she decided not to. Colette had more important things to deal with at the moment and, as it was, it wasn't really her place to say or do anything.
"Oh, I think highly of myself, Most High and Opalescent Goddess Ainslie?" She laughed along with him, shrugging. "Well, if the shoe fits..." Grinning wide, she continued, "I suppose, just for you, I could make an exception." There was nothing wrong with some harmless flirtation, right? "You may refer to me as just Ainslie. Or Ains, even." She smiled genuinely. All right, so she liked him. There was nothing wrong with that, right? And she couldn't remember the last time she had laughed so much, so freely.
Then it occurred to her that he might not be single. Sure, he had been flirting back (she thought...) but that didn't mean that he wasn't taken... Clearing her throat softly, she kept a light smile and attempted to approach the subject inconspicuously. "So, have you met anyone interesting around here yet?" There, that was safe enough, wasn't it? A normal question to ask a newcoming...

"Really? He seems to like her quite a bit." Proof? Well, h could say he felt some vet strong, pssionate emotions when he had left. Anyway, if the nymber of kids was indicative to anything ... "I guess I just wasn't expectingit to be like that. Thought I'd see that cute little five year old--the twenty year old Amarie kinda surprises me. " To say the least. "I just... Didn't expect to see her married or with kids yet. Or with someone like him, for that matter " he shrugged. "Its her life, though."
"Yeah. He kinda takes on a scary side when he decides to throw people around. Scary powers, too--he fixed the window with that creepy dark stuff of his." Sarge tried not to shudder. Sai did sort of scare him. How could his sister fall in love with such an asshole?
"What great honor, Miss Ainslie." he grinned. "Its at least a name I can remember now." Because no way could he remember that Most High and Opalescent Goddess thing or whatever. Not that he didn't try, but it was a pretty long title.
"Me? Met anyone?" he decided to take to the innocent side of the question. "Well, I've met the students, a few other teachers.. Miss Whitman--I think her name is Corona--was very nice to me. Her daughter is sweet, too." He smiled at her. Of course, there wasn't much between him and Cor. "Well, I've met you, too," he added with a lopsided grin.

Ainslie raised her eyebrows, nodding along. "I know just what you mean. I hadn't seen my youngest brother in a few years and then, all of a sudden, he's an adult. I mean, I changed his diapers and all of a sudden he's reaching for a beer at dinner? Just weird..." She shook her head, thinking about Blake. She should go up and see him again soon, really. "Yeah," she agreed. "But you don't want to totally cut her out of your life, do you? Especially after making such an effort to find her again."
Ainslie immediately blushed again, eyes widening. "Yikes, I'm sorry. It's totally not my place to say at all." She really should work on shutting her mouth a little better.
Ainslie nodded once more, showing her agreement. "There is something kind of sinister about controlling shadows, huh?" She felt a chill run down her back but tried to ignore it. There was nothing wrong with that particular ability. It was just... It just gave her an odd feeling at the bottom of her stomach.
"Corona, right," she said. "Back from the dead..." Her brow furrowed a moment; that was so odd. Half the time Ainslie couldn't wrap her head around it. Plus, she knew it was unsettling for her assistant, Evangeline, who was dating Corona's former-husband. "Oh yeah! Lyra is adorable." She grinned thinking of the little girl. She was so cute...
Ainslie laughed softly, nodding. "Well, of course. Add another tally to your list, or whatever." She grinned, meeting his eyes. She once more got the full force of them and got another chill. This one entirely different from the first, though. "So, anyway, what're your powers?"

"Yeah. I mean, I've missed so much of her life... And then I find that she's a normal adult, instead of my special little toddler sister." he sighed wistfully. He had always been the 'guy' in her life (or so she had said, when little) but he appeared to have been replaced. By a mean, stupid old motherfucker who had given her six kids and a dog to look after at age twenty. He couldn't get over it. Her age, her family (they were no longer a 'family'), her husband, her... Everything. It was overwhelming.
He grinned at her. "Nah, you're fine. It's nice that you ask about all this stuff--I kinda need to vent it all out to somebody. I mean, all of this is kinda a lot to take on." he smiled sort of sadly. Maybe he wished he hadn't found Am. The Am in his head was much better than the real life one. It sounded horrible, but it was the truth.
"Uh-huh, he's a sort of creepy guy. I mean, he like was so strict with his daughter when she stabbed me with her foam sword..." he remembered that, smiling. "And anyway, he seemed to kind of doubt I was Amarie's brother. And..." he swallowed slightly. "Am asked about our parents, and I told her about dad's greusome death, and later he told me I was the reason for his death. " it might not have seemed all too bad, but that comment had sort of hurt him. Disrespect ofthe dead, much?
"Yeah, I don't get that whole 'back from the dead' thing. How did that come about?" he mused. He never had gotten a chance to ask her. Although, he didn't know if she would tell him. Somehow he thought she'd be reluctant on that topic withhim--must be weird, though, talking about your own death.
"Oh, uh, I have Empathy and Precognition. I don't have very useful powers." By that, he meant not anything he could use to beat up someone (namely Sai) with. "What are your powers, huh?" he asked, curious.

"Yeah. I mean, I've missed so much of her life... And then I find that she's a normal adult, instead of my special little toddler sister."
She raised her eyebrows a little, nodding her agreement. "Yeah, especially with the whole 'teen-mom' thing. I mean, she made out really well with Molleigh, but stuff like that will kind of wake you up to the fact that she's not a little girl anymore, huh? And then they've got those two adoptees and then the triplets as well..." She shook her head. Sure, Ainslie wanted kids. But not six practically all at once. She didn't think she ever wanted six kids, in fact. Amarie had to be either very, very brave or very, very stupid.
I mean, he like was so strict with his daughter when she stabbed me with her foam sword..." "Adalina?" Ainslie asked with a smile. "She's a sweetheart. Tragic what happened to her..." She didn't have the full story, but she knew the little girl had just been found wandering with no memory or knowledge of her parents or any family. That had to be so difficult for such a young girl.
"Am asked about our parents, and I told her about dad's greusome death, and later he told me I was the reason for his death."
Ainslie pressed a hand to her cheek. "Oh God. Wow, I'm so sorry. For his death and that...he said that. That was really uncalled for." She shook her head slowly, unable to believe that. No matter what bad feelings there were, you just didn't say that to another person. It was just...so hurtful. And, to Ainslie, it didn't seem that Sargon had deserved any of it. Although, she had only gotten Sargon's side of the story...
"Yeah, I don't get that whole 'back from the dead' thing. How did that come about?" Ainslie chuckled a little shrugging. "You know, I have no idea. It seems to be happening all over lately. One of my friends died in childbirth and her baby ended up having a sort of healing power and brought her back to life. And then another, Dean, died and got sent to Hell and then got pulled out by Castiel, an angel, because Hell wasn't his destiny..." She shook her head, aware of how crazy she must sound. "But I'm not really sure what happened with Corona's deal. And, yes, I'm completely aware of how crazy that all sounded." She giggled into her hand, hoping he didn't think she was entirely insane.
"Whoa, I'd love either of those!" she exclaimed honestly. Empathy would be great when dealing with her students. And precognition could help her prepare, from a security standpoint. At his question, she ticked off on her fingers, "Molecular Combustion, Temporal Stasis, Accelerated Healing, Night vision, and Telekinesis."

He frowned slightly as she said something about 'teen mom'. Molleigh... That was the girl Sai had taken from his arms back at their house. He felt let down again. Shit Am, way to make a mess of your life, he thought angrily. "Oh? And did this boy leave her?" he asked, trying to contain the little bit of anger he was feeling. Not at her, of course, but at his asshole of a sister. He was beginning to wonder how angelic she was. If Sai was not her original boyfriend, how did she meet him? "And yh, would you happen to know how she got her husband?" he asked, suspecting that that too had some situation to tag along with it.
He shrugged. "My dad wasn't close to me. Ran away young--because of him, really. Liked to brag to his friends about our powers." he sighed. But still... His dad. And it still hurt all the same. "Yeah, and then the bastard--oh, excuse y language--hard to punch me in the face and throw me into the wall." he said somewhat angrily. He was still frustrated that he wasn't powerful enough to deal with the man.
"I always thought people coming back from the dead was wishful thinking. But I guess nthing's impossible." he sighed. At herremark about how crazy it all sounded, he said, putting on a strong New York accent, "Yeah, well, this world is crazy, babe. Welcome to New York." he grinned and chuckled slightly at his immitation.
"Thats a lot of useful powers," he said wistfully. He had two powers and not good ones, either, at least for him. He'd prefer Vigor. Or maybe even Healing. Anything that might help in a fight. Not that he planned on fighting, but if he could, it would have been nice o be able to beat up Sai.

"Oh? And did this boy leave her?" Ainslie dropped her head to the side, considering how to answer that. She didn't want to overstep any boundaries and give out information that wasn't hers to give but... Well, she figured this part was all right, at least. "He didn't leave her, like, walk out and abandon her. He was killed. But then he came back as an angel, only to find that, in her grief, Amarie had already moved on to Saikoro." Ainslie knew most of this from the extensive discussions she had had with Josslyn. At the beginning of the relationship, the girl had been very conflicted with the entire situation and often sought out her professor's advice.
"As for how she and Saikoro met..." Ainslie screwed her face up a little. "That I don't really know. I know Saikoro was previously with Emma, who was Amarie's best friend. So maybe they knew each other through that?"
Ainslie pulled a face at that, a little disgusted to hear of his father's behavior. Christ, with everyone treating them as different, whether it be in a positive or negative light, mutants were never going to be equal. At the mention of Saikoro and his anger that came with it, Ainslie chuckled and put up her hands defensively. "Hey, maybe we should nix the Saikoro-talk." She laughed musically again and went on, "Just 'cause it seems to be upsetting you a little. Clearly the guy was out of line." Which didn't seem to be surprising with Saikoro...
"I always thought people coming back from the dead was wishful thinking. But I guess nothing's impossible." She rolled her eyes and nodded. "Tell me about it. I never know what to expect next...""Yeah, well, this world is crazy, babe. Welcome to New York." She burst into laughter at his imitation. She was from Connecticut and she was sure she could pull off a better one. "I heard that," she agreed finally, through the ends of her laughter.
"That's a lot of useful powers," She shrugged neutrally. "Eh. The telekinesis, healing and night vision come in handy often. I could go either way with the other two, really." It's not that she didn't like her other powers. She just felt they were so extreme. She didn't really like to use them unless it was absolutely necessary.

"Killed? And she just... Got a new boyfriend right away?" he raised his eyebrows, confused. That didn't sound like te Amarie that he thought he knew... But then again, everything about Amarie was surprising him so far. But to think, she had moved on so easily from the guy who had given her that cute little girl... Even though he didn't know who that boy was or anything, he thought e'd rather she be married with six kids and a dog with him, not with her current crazy husband.
"So she just... Hooked up with her best friend's ex?" He thought that was something that girls promise their friends they'd never do. At least, when e had been a teenager, that was how it had gone. But still, it didn't sound right. "Bet her friend wasn't very happy," he thought aloud, biting his lip as he thought.
"Yeah, and it's really frustrating because I know he's stronger than me. Wish I could get a good chance to beat him up," Sarge admitted. "Im not usually violent, but something about him..." Sargon amended quickly. And there was something about him that made Sarge wanna kick his sorry ass.
He grinned at her laughter. Using the accent again, he drawled, " Couldn't'vebeen THAT bad," he said, fakely surprised. But he knew his accent sort of sucked. He usually would have felt slightly embarrassed by her laughter, but he was just glad that he was able to make her laugh. It was a good feeling.
"At least yours help you in everyday life," he said with a smile. Hecodbt really control his infrequent visions, and sometimes knowing pepple's emotions wasn't such a great thing. "Im glad I have powers, though. Othrwise I wouldn't be talking to such a pretty lady," he chuckled, eyes twinkling.
