Fucking fucking fuck. The man did not mention that invisibility was one of his powers! And if it wasn't...then he must've kicked ass at hide-and-seek when he was a kid. Because Ainslie just could not find him anywhere. And she had been looking.
She had done her job. She had had a nice long talk with Axel and one with Dean too. She checked in on a few other teachers as well, just seeing how things were going, said hi to the few Rosewood students she knew. And then she was off to find Sargon. Except he had apparently entered Witness Protection Program since she had met him.
Then she had panicked a little. Thought maybe he had just been toying with her, that those kissed meant nothing and that he never wanted to see her again really. A niggling voice pushed that aside though. Because he had shared all that stuff about Saikoro and Amarie with her. And he had gone out of his way to make her laugh several times. And a guy didn't do that if he was just looking for a "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" kind of thing.
She was just resigning herself to leaving and maybe shooting him an e-mail once she got home when she heard it. "Ainslie!" She whirled around and was relieved to see Sargon there. And then she swooned at the sight of him. Okay, only for a second thought. And only because he was so goddamn good-looking. She smiled softly to him and lifted a hand in acknowledgment. "Hey." He seemed happy to see her. She logged that observation away as she moved to meet him half-way.
"I was just about to give up looking for you," she teased gently. It was taking all of her concentration not to lunge forward and just start making out with him. "Thought you had disappeared or were avoiding me or something."

He felt somewhat relieved as she turned to him. Well, that meant she actually had been looking for him. And her next words also confirmed that. "Really? Well I'm glad you didn't," he grinned. "Avoiding you? Darling, I'm ashamed that you would ever think that." He put on a fake-hurt expression. She should've known, though, that he wouldn't avoid her. Those kisses, the joking, that had all been real.
'So, how did your stuff go?" he inquired with a grin on his face. He was only being polite, really. And that was just a set-up for his next question. 'because if it did, would you want to maybe celebrate that with me?" And, to clarify, he added, "You doing anything tonight?" He hoped she would say yes. because God, he didn't know what he'd do if she rejected him.

"Avoiding you? Darling, I'm ashamed that you would ever think that." She laughed a little at that and shook her head. "Terribly sorry, dear. And I'll have you know that the Darling name is one of prestige and nobility and is not to be tossed about lightly!" She was joking of course. Because it was so easy to do around him. And he made her laugh so she wanted to return the favor. She liked being able to laugh...
[/i]"So, how did your stuff go?"[/i] She shrugged. "Good. It was good to catch up with everyone. See how the other houses are doing, what they're up to." Plus Axel had given her a few good tips on dealing with the teachers which she had traded for a few details on handling students. Collaboration was always good. And in the end, the students were the ones who benefited, which was the best.
"You doing anything tonight?" Ainslie immediately blushed. She cursed her pale complexion again before smiling mildly. Chewing on her lower-lip, she shook her head. "No, not really. Why?" 'Ask me out. Ask me out. Ask me out. Ask me out...' If only she had telepathy... She was actually busy that night. She was supposed to fill out some security forms. But she could get Evangeline to start them and the rest could wait until tomorrow morning.
Because she was not going to turn down a date from this man.

"Oh, Im sorry, Miss High and Mighty," he teased, with a huge grin. "But don't worry, such offense to your prestigius nobility will not be uttered again." He laughed, a loud, roaring sound that filling the hallway.
"Mhmm," he nodded, smiling. That was good than it went well. Because now it was easier for him to ask her out. And that was what he intended to do. He was determined to make things work with her. Hr wanted this to turn into something--because he liked a hardworking, fun, joking woman who was herself. Namely, someone like Ainslie.
"Ohh, I dunno." He grinned. "Apparently there's a medieval festival going on." He paused to let her feel that he was telling the truth, before correcting himself. "Actually, if you'd prefer dinner.." Well, of course, the last part he was serious about. And he kind of needed her to say yes. He really wanted to get to know her...

"But don't worry, such offense to your prestigius nobility will not be uttered again." She had made him laugh. She celebrated briefly internally; mission accomplished. "Good, you make sure that it doesn't," she said with the same snooty tone. It quickly degenerated into giggles though and she put her hand in front of her mouth to stifle it a little.
Seriously? A medieval festival? Because he did not seem like the type to be into that. And she certainly wasn't... She liked technology. She liked the internet; she loved her MP3 player; she would die without her cell phone. But it could be all right...? Sargon in a suit of armor would be nice at least...
Sargon in tights....
"Actually, if you'd prefer dinner.." Ah, he had been joking. She trailed into chuckling, nodding. "Dinner would probably be better, yeah," she said with a smile. "In fact, I would like dinner a lot."
She was getting all excited, like a little girl again. She was going out on date. A date with a boy. A date with a pretty boy. Gosh, she needed to calm down. But it really was exciting, after all.

He bowed to her, a crazy little thing that was more like a very strange kind of dance. "At your service, Your Grace," he replied, in a tone almost as snooty as hers. But not quite. Snooty wasn't his thing. Not that it was her thing, but she was better at it than him. It was fun, laughing with her. It was nice to realize someone appreciated crappy humor.
He could tell she was believing him about the medieval festival, and he had to stifle a ton of chuckles with a hasty attempt at a cough. In the end, though, she would figure out he was just joking. He rather liked playing tricks on people, because it was so funny to see their faces afterwards.
"Dinner it is, then," he replied smoothly. "Although I regret that you did not take me up on my offer about the festival," he grinned, showing her he was joking. As far as he knew, there was no medieval festival in New York right then. But dinner was fine with him. Anything was, really, as long as they were together. "Where would you like to go, miss?" he inquired with raised eyebrows.
He could feel her excitement, and felt very satisfied. He ha scored a date with a girl he found quite attractive--and she seemed happy about it too, which was definitely a plus. He grinned, happy with himself.

"Dinner it is, then," he replied smoothly. "Although I regret that you did not take me up on my offer about the festival." Ainslie stuck her tongue out at him for that. "Whatever," she drawled, chuckling. He was such a jerk. But a funny jerk. A gorgeous jerk. Not a jerk at all. Perfect man. Crap, she was in deep.
"Where would you like to go, miss?" "Gee, I don't know," she said. "I'm up for anywhere, really. There's always Bernardi, if you don't mind seafood." She would go to Micky D's as long as it was with him. Hell, he could come to Belleza and she would cook for him. And any of the Darling kids would tell you that Ainslie didn't cook for just anyone. "Really, though, it's up to you."
And maybe after dinner, they could go for a nice walk... Ainslie loved walking around New York City, especially at night. And maybe after the walk.... Well, who knew what might happen. She couldn't wait for this now. She wanted it to be dinnertime that second.

"You don't just 'whatever' a medieval festival. Man, that's like, insulting." He pouted, pretending to look sad. Of course, he knew he failed miserably at acting sad, so he ended up chuckling, which greatly ruined the affect he was trying to make. "And hasn't anyone told you sticking your tongue out is rude?" he teased, grinning at her. Of course, he didn't mind. But it was just fun to tease her.
"Alright then. Bernardi it is." He grinned at her. Taking a second to look at his fancy-smanshy watch (yes, he liked nice watches), he realized sadly that it was a bit too early for dinner time. "What time?" he asked, grinning. This whole date-planning was turning into more of a twenty-questions game. Not that he minded, ecause he was talking to her and planning a date for later!
He grinned at her, truly excited. Maybe it was her emotions that were influencing him. But the fact she felt happy about this was good--it made him hapy, and it also made him feel that he wasn't a downright failure when it came to girls and dates.

"You don't just 'whatever' a medieval festival. Man, that's like, insulting."She rolled her eyes at him. "Whateverrrr," she drawled further, just to rub it in. She giggled a little at his face though, and then his chastisement. Biting her lower lip a little, she leaned forward and kissed him softly. She held the kiss a little longer than she meant to. But when he was pouting like that with those lips and talking about tongues... Well, how could she not kiss him?
"Alright then. Bernardi it is." "Sounds good," Ainslie replied, smiling softly. Her lips still tingled a little from having just kissed him. Christ. She noticed his watch too, raising her eyebrows a little. Nice, very nice. "What time?" She thought for a moment, humming. Well, it was exactly three o'clock now, so 3:01? Maybe 3:02? "Pick me up at seven?" she suggested. "We can walk to Bernardi from Belleza Francesa."
Christ, she was so excited. Was he this excited? She hope he was. Or at least something close. She didn't want to get over invested in this relationship so quickly. She just... really wanted it to work. She was tired of being alone and lonely. And Sargon seemed to truly be the one that could work with her.

He pouted more as she said 'whatever' again, but then his lips were on hers and his pout vanished. God, he swore that her kisses were melting him. Like that witch from the Wizard of Oz--she was just so beautiful, so wondeful, so funny. He wanted to spend a lot more time with her.
He grinned at her, very much as excited as she was. Seven. God. How was he gonna wait that long? Maybe he would be a girly-man for tonight an spend hours getting ready for the date. He'd do his hair, pick out a special outfit... Wow, he had it bad. He just really wanted to impress her, wanted her to like him.
Christ, she was so excited. Was he this excited? She hope he was. Or at least something close. She didn't want to get over invested in this relationship so quickly. She just... really wanted it to work. She was tired of being alone and lonely. And Sargon seemed to truly be the one that could work with her.
He really wanted it to work, too. He had only just met her, but they had shared quite a few nice kisses already, which seemed to be a good sign. He just hoped it would last. He didn't want to rush into this, bit how could he not? He was just dying to be with this woman. "Seven is so far away," he sighed, talking more to himself. He would have to just endure it. Somehow.

"Seven is so far away."
Ainslie smirked and nodded. "Oh, I know. However will you survive?" She giggled a little to show she was only joking. "Hey, I need the time to make myself purdy," she drawled teasingly.
Truly, she couldn't wait either. She wanted to leave right now. But she needed to get back to Belleza, do some work. Then she could get ready for her date. With Sargon. Christ, she was so excited. And so was he. This was so great. She hadn't met someone she really wanted to be with in so long.
"Can I give you my number?" she asked. "Just in case something changes or whatever?" She was usually nervous when offering her number to a guy but this time... Well, he had already asked her out. She knew he liked her and was interested in her. He wanted her number, she knew.

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe I'll tide myself over with a few other dates. How about that?" he grinned, joking. He never dated two women at once. He didn't really think it was fair--anyway, no woman could really compare to Ainslie. "Make yourself 'purdy'? What is it with chicks and trying to look pretty?" he questioned with fake exasperation. "You look very 'purdy' right now, so you know," he said with a sly grin. And she did... Very pretty...
"Of course," he said with a grin. He was always happy to receive a woman's number. Because usually it meant that they wanted to see or talk to him again. And he did want her number--because ge did want to see and talk to her again.
"And, if you want, we could do something afterwards, too," he said with a grin. "I intend to steal away your night so that my sidekick has time to steal your stuff," he explained with a huge smile and plenty of chuckles. He was only joking, but he did really want to spend as much time with her as was possible. He hoped her night really was perfectly free. But if not, a few more dates could always make up for it...

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe I'll tide myself over with a few other dates. How about that?" She knew he was joking immediately, of course. But if he could have some fun, why couldn't she? "Hey, not a bad idea," Ainslie shot back with a smirk. "I might do the same." Ainslie didn't cheat but she didn't see the problem with seeing two guys at once; they weren't exclusive. And Ainslie needed a man; bad. So if she had to...overlap a few of them to find the right guy, well, so be it.
"Make yourself 'purdy'? What is it with chicks and trying to look pretty?" Ainslie chuckled as if sharing an inside joke. "Okay. Don't pretend like you don't love that we get all gussied up for you." She shot him a cocky smile. Truthfully, she loved getting dressed up as much as she loved slipping into pajamas and comfy clothes. It was a chance to get out of the business attire that she wore on a daily basis. "You look very 'purdy' right now, so you know." She chuckled at that, hiding her blush. "Well, thanks."
She grinned happily at that. "All right." She slipped the pen she always carried from her pocket and, with a smirk, took his hand. "212-555-7944," she recited as she wrote the numbers on his wrist. Displaying her HTC Tilt, she said with a smile, "Call me -or text me- if something changes. Or if you get lonely between now and seven o'clock," she joked.
"And, if you want, we could do something afterwards, too." She grinned back to him. "That sounds promising," she said, trying not to get too excited. "I'd like that a lot." Dancing, or a walk, or they could go back to her place and just...hang out... he said with a grin. "I intend to steal away your night so that my sidekick has time to steal your stuff." Ainslie let out a laugh, shaking her head. "Hey, don't joke like that," she said, still smiling. "Stuff like that has happened." Like with Aidan. Oh, yeah... Aidan.... "But, I trust you not to do that to me. So it's all good."
With that, she checked her watched and wrinkled her nose. "Well, I really gotta go, Sargon. It was awesome meeting you." She smiled softly, edging toward the door. "And I'll see you at seven." She added a wink before heading out into the air.
Oh, yikes. She was in deep. But she wasn't entirely sure that she didn't like it. Time to get home. Finish the work she needed to get done, talk to Evangeline (read: gush about ther date), and then get ready...

"Mm, sounds like a plan," he purred, trying and purposely failing (or so he thought) to act all sexy. Because he could be sexy at times, but other times it just didn't work out. He had had a few girls slap him, or kick him where it hurt, so he tried to be sure he wasn't vein overly weird. Although Ainslie herself was weird, so it was okay to be weirder around her, right?
"Well, you got me there, I do love that," he said with a grin. And it was true. He sort of decided if a next date was called for by how much effort a girl took for him. If she really did try, if she seemed truly excited and interested, then he would go for another date. If not, he'd mysetiously 'lose his phone'. But with Ainslie, he already was ready for more dates, even though their first one hadn't yet begun.
He watched her write her number down, and smiled at what she said. "Well then, I guess you'll be getting texts and/or calls from me as soon as you leave. Because I don't think those other dates of mine will be all too interesting anymore." He grinned. If he did actually have said dates, they would be pretty boring. Because the real date he was looking forward to came at seven.
He looked truly surprised at her words. "Reallly?" he asked, and then decided to joke some more. "Never realized my henchmen left such obvious clues to their presence. I shall have to fire all of them," he said solemnly, but broke into chuckles at the end. Anyway, he'd have to kill whoever was stealing from her. "Thanks for yhe trust," he said with a grin. "And it's always good till you realize who I am. You see, I wasn't joking earlier about James Bond..." he grinned cockily.
"Aww, kay then. It was nice meeting you, too." He smiled. And said, "And if seven doesn't come quick enough, I'll have to buy a new clock and burn my hammer so that there's no evidence for the cops." He chuckled at that rather lame joke, but really--he couldn't wait for seven.
