Her change of pace was quick and abrupt. He found her conjuring and playing with a yo-yo in no time at all, but he wasn't really in the mood to lose himself in the reassuring bounce of a yo-yo. Changing into a whole other being entirely sounded better to him, so he couldn't even be tested as human. He would just be...something else. Not Jadon. Not an angel.
But she felt awkward when he was a dog, so.
He stuffed his hands into his pockets, watching her yo-yo.

She could sense his discomfit so she changed direction slightly, heading for Central Park. Even at night it was pretty active. Mostly teens and young adults, smoking in circles. Pulling off a Cat's Cradle, she cast a glance to Jadon. Catching his eyes, she changed the yo-yo to a toybone and passed him a soft smile. She waved the bone a little, as if to urge him on.
[[S&S, sorry!]]

Jadon scoffed, shaking his head, knowing she was only joking. He wasn't about to morph into a dog in front of everybody just to play fetch when he knew she didn't really want to. Kinah had a weird way of egging him on, whether it was serious or playful--sometimes he couldn't tell the difference.
The smoke of cigarettes from a group of teenagers off to his left wafted through the air and up his nose, and he sighed. It wasn't quite like the tobacco in his father's pipe, but...it was similar. A comfort. It was...nice. He'd never considered taking up smoking. But, why not? After all, he couldn't die twice.

Shekinah rolled her eyes and shrugged. Suit yourself. She tossed the bone up a little, morphing it into a poker chip as it reached its pinnacle. She caught it on the descent and, without missing a beat, set into a steady rhythm of flipping the coin into the air.
Blowing out a stream of air, she looked up at the bright sky. "D'you ever want to jump off a cliff? Or in front of a van or something?" she asked suddenly. It just blurted out, completely beyond her control. "Just for the hell of it?"
