So.. it comes to thisLightening Crashes.. The moment the sky changed, he was gone. The bar was locked up tight, holy water surrounding it to protect it while he was gone. At least it could be a safe haven to those that made it there in time.
The clash of swords, brought him back to reality as he gritted his teeth. The demon before him was twice his size, and much stronger. But Dominick had something they would never have.. Faith.
Faith that all of this would soon disappear. Faith that everything eventually would turn back to the way it once was. "Come on! You know this won’t end well." He smiled at the demon before him.
It growled back in return and pushed him back a few inches with nothing but brute strength. Dom took a deep breath and reclined his head slightly. His right leg followed suit, but much more quickly and forcefully. Suddenly, his boot struck the demon square in the jaw as his wings sprouted from his back and lifted him in the air and back to his feet.
Gritting his teeth, they clashed swords again. Another demon coming at him from his right. "Fuck." He mumbled. Doing a quick back flip through the air, he was caught off guard as the second demon stabbed him in the side with a dagger.
Grunting, he glared at it, his wings sprouted and he took to the sky. "I'll give you a warning. Do not.. make me mad." He told them, as they both simply laughed in his face. "You're no valkyrie, Dominick."
Quickly, he landed on the second demon's shoulders. "Oh yeah?" He smirked. He jerked his legs hard to the right. Several pops of a severed vertebral column could be heard as the demon stammered about, fixing his broken neck as Dominick took to the sky once more.
And once more, swords clashed...
When would this end?

She didn't want this. She never wanted this. This was not how things were supposed to be. Nothing had gone as it was supposed to. And she really hated fighting. But when the demons came out and started threatening people, mutants and extraterrestrials alike... Well, Shekinah wasn't going to have that. She had waiting inside S&S for a little, calming those who had chosen the bar as their sanctuary. But she couldn't stay there. She couldn't stay locked up safe and sound while everyone else (Read: Dominick and Jadon) was out fighting. So she had left. She made sure the security was intact and then jogged off down the street. She touched her hip and inside her jacket, checking for the daggers there. She didn't want to have to use them, but she knew she would. She found Dominick and watched as he sparred with an enormous demon. Fuck. A feral noise sounded behind her and she whirled around. There was a large demon there, scaly wings spread with talons on its hands. "You're not welcome here," she spat out at it before launching into the fight. The dagger sunk into flesh with a sickening squelch. The demon roared in anger and pain and batted her away with a hand. She hit the ground once, groaning as her side collided with the asphalt. She took flight though, hovering in front of the demon. "It's on, bitch," she declared darkly before charging toward the demon, thrusting the weapon deep into its chest. It had begun.

Hell was not rising. Lucifer was not wandering around on the earth. This was not reality; it was a dream. This was not happening. Shekinah was not fighting, risking herself. Nobody was dying. And Jadon was definitely, definitely not getting his ass kicked by a demon. His swords went flying from his hands as he lashed backwards, trying to catch his breath from getting a steel toe into his stomach. He didn't feel himself falling on his back a few yards away, his head banging against the ground with the inertia. He wasn't lying there for what seemed to be hours, trying to ignore the aches in his body. The demon did not walk over to one of his swords, flick it up into his hand with his foot, and start to advance to finish off the angel. Jadon bent his legs and lurched himself back up onto his feet, knowing that his sublimation would do nothing. He took off at a super-speed run, taking off into the air and adjusting himself to be parallel to the ground foot aimed for the face of the demon... The motherfucker was sent to the ground, and Jadon snatched his sword mid-air, before drawing his other one into his opposite hand with his psychokinesis. This fucker was going down.

All you could hear was steel hitting steel. Strength against strength. And why the hell was Kinah fighting? Losing his concentration, the demon before him knocking him back with a bitchslap. Dominick went flying through the air and skidded across the grassy field until he finally stopped two feet away. "Okay.. that hurt.." He groaned, turning over as he took to his feet once more.
The demon didn't give him time to get to his feet, as it came running full speed at him, sword drawn. He was ready to kill the angel before him, fallen or not. Instinct told him to jump, just as the demon thrust his sword at him. He could feet his foot just hitting the blade as he whirled around. "Enough of this." He gritted his teeth.
His right arm hardened with pure bone as it made itself his shield. Grunting loudly, he flew right at the demon, knocking him back with vigor. He watched as the demon scrambled back to his feet. He flew towards Jadon, laying a hand to his shoulder and healing him slightly from the battle before the demon came running at him once more.
This was getting old fast...

The demon screamed in anger; Shekinah had gotten the better of it yet again. Spotting her opening, Shekinah whipped out her second dagger and jammed it into the demon's mouth, not stopping until the blade broke through the back of its throat. A gurgling noise erupted as a black blood-like substance spewed from the demon's lips. The demon crashed to the ground and Shekinah winced as the blood spattered over her skin. It burned! She grunted and swiped to get it off her arm.
Once it was all off, she reached for her blade and pulled it free of the demon. She wiped it clean on her pant leg and swung. Fuck. Demons abound. She watched as Dominick healed Jadon. Jadon! Christ. She hoped they could all make this out alive. Because everyone here... That's basically all the people she cared about. If they died...then she had better die too.
"Fucking 'A," she gasped out, looking to the sky. Everything was going to shit... Her shoulders sunk a little as she raised an arm slightly. She let out a sigh and swallowed.
All right, who was going down next?

There was a touch to his shoulder, and he whipped around to see if he needed to stab something, but his eyes caught Dominick's face, and he let out a short sigh, nodding in thanks, not having the time or energy for words. He wasn't even sure he could form words, let alone use them. Too much was happening at once. There were vast numbers of demons, spread all across the park. If there were this many in this tiny spot in one city, what about everywhere else in the world? He had sorely underestimated the amount of angels and demons alike.
Snapping wasn't working; his fingers were lathered with sweat. Instead, he mustered all his power into conjuring a Winchester repeating rifle (ironic; wasn't that the name of a really famous mutant somewhere in this city?), taking down a line of demons running to attack a group of people running for their lives. He knew from his war days the power of guns, and he supposed the only reason the demons fell was because this gun had the touch of an angel. Or maybe that was just wishful thinking and he was going to give any excuse to kill a few motherfuckers.
A loud battle cry gave another one's position away as it came charging at Jadon and Dominick. In reaction, Jadon blocked and paried and lunged with his two swords against the demon's pair of maces. As he went up for a kick, his foot was tangled in one of the chains separating the mace from the hand that was holding it. In an attempt at a victory, he stomped his foot down, taking the demon with it, and plunged the sword into its back. One down, infinity to go.
Was Shekinah all right? Panic seized him. "Get to her," he ordered Dominick, refusing to notice the spit that was probably flying from his mouth as he screamed at the top of his lungs.

Hearing another loud grumbled scream fill the air. He knew of one thing, more were coming by the second. Letting go of Jadon's shoulder, he took the air as another came running at Jadon from behind. Dom grimanced as he grabbed the demon by the back of his neck. He mustered up just enough strength to send him flying back across the field.
"Get to her,"
He gave a nod as he flew quickly to Shekinah's side as she fought a demon. Laying a hand to her, he healed her. But with a blink of an eye, a demon managed to sneak up on him, stabbing him right in the chest with it's dagger. "DIE ANGEL!" It roared loudly as Dominick slowly fell to the ground behind Kinah.
His biokinisis was doing everything it could to heal the wound as quickly as possible. But as the seconds ticked by, the more enegery was drained from him. It took everything he had to place a palm out to the demon, encasing him in ice.
His breathing quickened as he sat there, healing himself. More demons.. they were surrounding them.. How the hell were they suppose to get through this? "JADON!" He screamed over at him as another came running at him from the side...

"I'm fine!" she insisted, waving him off. He didn't need to be worrying after her and healing her when he should be watching his own back. Her thoughts proved prophetic a second later as a demon plunged a dagger into his chest. She watched as he seemed to fall in slow motion. Eyes wide, she stood frozen only a second before pulsing into frenzied action.
Light burst from her and spread in a dome-shaped explosion. It engulfed the entire park and incinerated the demons as it came in contact with them. But those were only five. More would be on the way in no time at all. She had gotten fed up with this and responded with her powers. Once the light dulled and faded away. She shot quick look to Jadon before sprinting toward where Dominick lay, skidding and dropping to her knees next to him.
She was acting studpidly, she knew that. But she had already lost him once, one lifetime again, and she was not gonna let that happen again; not with more demons on the way. Her fingers hovered over the dagger. Wincing, she pulled it from his chest and laid her hands over the wound. Damnit. She couldn't heal. Fuck.
A huge, bear-like demon lumbered from a corner and gave a terrible roar. Shekinah gave an aggrivated noise and conjured a battle-ax. She launched it at the demon, planting the weapon in the demons chest. More black blood rained over her but this didn't burn like the other had. She didn't care either way, though. She turned back to Dominick.

The scream came just in time, and he hurled the sword in his right hand at the demon, sending it with extra force of his psychokinesis toward his chest, but the demon was incinerated by Shekinah's orb before it came in contact. The sword continued on in the direction of Kinah, and it took most of his strength--bared teeth and pained face--to force it back into his hand, letting it take a round trip to behead an oncoming demon before the hilt was replaced in his hand. Black blood spurted everywhere and he let out a long sigh, knowing there were more to come.
Sheathing the swords at the sides of his pants, he caught his breath before taking up a jog toward Dominick and Shekinah, taking for granted their moment of reprieve. They had to act quickly before the next bout of rampant demons was to approach. Jadon felt useless, not having any healing powers. He pressed his hands over the wounds, teeth baring down on his lip.
"Get him out if he needs to," he muttered. "Take him to Biella." She knew where that was. If not, he didn't exactly have time to lay out directions. "You, too." He couldn't stand if she got hurt caring for Dominick. She seemed blinded by his injuries, and that could prove to be potentially fatal. To lose her...
Competition between him and Dom was no competition at all. He sighed, looking up at her. "Aren't there any more we can rally?" The low growl of approaching, pending demons made him shoot his head up, and he withdrew his weapons again. "Make your decision--kick your healing powers up, or get out." He hadn't meant for his words to be harsh. He was concerned for her safety. Kinah was special--to Omni, to Dom, to...to him, too.
His heart pounded, anticipating battle. He wanted to fight, but feared death again...

Feeling the dagger being released from his chest, sent a loud cry of pain from his lips as he closed his eyes. Concentrating on healing himself as Jadon took to jogging over at him too. Kinah's holy light had vanquished what demons were nearby. But he knew... knew there were more to come.
"Get him out if he needs to," he muttered. "Take him to Biella." She knew where that was. If not, he didn't exactly have time to lay out directions. "You, too."
"I'm fine!" He told them both, gritting his teeth as he sat up. "Aren't there any more we can rally?" He grunted, feeling the wound being healed as he slowly took to his feet, just in time to hear the growls of oncoming demons. "They're all fighting elsewhere." He told him.
"Make your decision--kick your healing powers up, or get out."
Dominick simply starred at him before picking up his swords and taking a firm grasp on them. He looked back at Kinah, giving her a knowing look. "It's up to you. Go to Biella, the bar, or stay here and fight with us.." He told her softly as a large demon came barreling out of the woods to his right.
He pushed off the ground and flew straight at it, enforcing another battle. His swords severed off the demon's left arm. He quickly took to pushing him back before throwing the dagger at the large demon, hitting him square in the forehead and watching him fall with a earth-shattering thud.[/blockquote]

He was okay. She let out a sigh, shaking her head. She needed to keep her head in the fucking game. This was celestial war. There were more important things at hand. Self-loathing was included. She couldn't be ashamed of her actions. She needed a clear mind; she needed to fight.
She didn't respond to Dominick's suggestion. In lieu of words, she let her actions speak. Fitting her toes under the dagger on the ground, she flipped it up. She caught it neatly and barely held it a moment before launching it for a smaller demon skulking in their direction. It connected with the demon's skull, sending him screaming to the ground.
Smirking in his direction, she set up a facade, ready to fight. "That's my eighth kill." She pulled another dagger and spun it over her fingers. "Last to a hundred buys drinks when this is all over." She pushed into the air then, speeding off toward the demon. She pulled her dagger from it's head and braced herself for the next battle.
But she had to wonder: would it ever end?

Sending him an icy pair of eyes, Jadon didn't respond to Dominick's fighting words. Strings of explitives wound around his head, but he didn't have time to concentrate on them. A dark cloud started to approach, moving unevenly and quickly, the sign of a massive ambush. The cloud thickened and revealed distorted faces, battle axes, fireballs, things he couldn't even identify. The lines of war in the 30's had been nothing like this. And Kinah--what was going to happen to her?
Dominick's got her. She's his responsibility. But if Dom went down, was that torch passed to him? Or wasn't he giving Shekinah enough credit, and she could take care of herself?
All thoughts were bypassed as he charged toward the aura of evil, swords drawn, lifting off the ground to intertwine his flight and super-speed. Suddenly he found himself in the thick of things, demons abound, attacking from all different directions. Hacking and swinging and throwing; he was surprised at his abilities with the weapons he had, even when they were taken away from him or dispatched from his hands by accident. Somehow, he always found them back in his palms again. A thin circle of clarity surrounded him, occasionally penetrated by a demon. Two came from behind on both sides and he turned the swords backwards, thrusting them into both of their abdomens, hearing their bodies fall to the ground.
"Six; seven."
He ignored Kinah's proposal.

Another ambush of demons came running at him from the woods. His eyes darted around. Jadon was in the sky fighting, Kinah was on the ground throwing daggers, improving her aim immensely. He glared back at the three who were approaching him. He dropped his swords, tore the sleeves from his shirt and extended his arms as they both turned into weapons.
He couldn't worry over Kinah.. not now. Not while they were fighting. He knew that, already learned that lesson once today. He wasn't going to get himself killed and leave her alone. They were going to win.. they had too...
"Last to a hundred buys drinks when this is all over."
He smirked, letting out a battle cry as he collided with two of them. Twisting and turning, stabbing and thrusting. It seemed to never end. Once one was down, another came to replace it. Growing tired of the routine, he flexed his hand, returning the bone back to normal.
"Ten, eleven, twelve." He shouted, placing his palm on the grassy field as it quickly turned to ice, encasing the demon's feet. "Might make that thirteen." He chuckled, grabbing his daggers and throwing them at each and every one of them. One landed in an eye, the other a chest, and the last landed right in the crotch.
"Bet that hurt."

Shekinah laughed, getting a high off all the adrenaline coursing through her system. Nothing was funny, not really. But she was bubbling with pent-up energy. She moved fluidly, almost musically. Muscles danced in sync with one another, executing moves perfectly. Axes and daggers sang and slashed through air as she spun and darted.
A lull formed then and she stopped. Rolling her shoulders, she stayed alert, though, waiting for the second wave to start up. She bounced on her heels, anxious. She focused on the fight, on her technique, on her death count (fifteen, give or take a couple). Because if she stopped to think, she would break down. If she looked around, she would see Dominick or Jadon and worry. She had to ignore them. It was just her and the demons. Her and the blood. Her and the weapons. Her and Hell.
Behind her, she heard the familiar hum of Dominick's speech, his thoughts, his presence. A few feet over was Jadon, counting under his breath. She winced and hummed to distract herself. "I feel a bad mooon rising," she sang breathily. Appropriate song.
Then, as suddenly as they had fallen off, more demons came. She set back into action. Slashing and parrying and dodging- Until she didn't. A demon caught her side with his scythe. Pain ricocheted over through her ribs, over her limbs, shot straight through her heart. She cried out involuntarily, panicked, before crushing her mouth closed. Compensating for the wound, she pulled the battle ax she had conjured awhile ago from the ground and swung hard. It collided with the demon's side, the contact vibrating through her arms and up her spine.
"How do you like that, bitch?" she gasping out before flying back into the fight. She was really glad she had picked up cursing before this. She never would have made it without profanity.

In contrast, Jadon felt his muscles tightening up, contracting, refusing to move fluidly. They were giving up on him, though he was relentless in battle, refusing to give up before he'd finished off each and every demon. Something in him drove him on further. Some fire, some poison, even. The song--the opera. His mother's voice: "O del mio dolce ardor." Didn't know what it meant. It was a ballad, probably about love. He didn't care.
The low hum of his brain surging--or maybe it wasn't doing anything at all--kept him focused. He didn't track his motions, or question them. Jadon realized this blindness, but it was what kept his motions efficient. If he faltered just once, thought clearly just once, it would end up a horrible mistake, sending him spiralling downward into failure. Death. A lump formed in his throat--the very distraction he was certain would ruin him.
A demon that resembled a yakk walking on its hind legs swung hard, the blade of its ax hacking into Jadon's spine, sending a resonating vibration throughout his body, the tingle splaying over his skin. What did blood feel like? Taste like? Jadon fell forward, a screeching cry leaving him as he landed on his front, his face planting into the ground, motionless.

"I feel a bad mooon rising,"
His brows furrowed as he sliced his way through two more demons. His legs were getting heavy.. energy.. dying down. But he made himself keep going. Grunting loudly as he twirled around, just missing the blunt end of a axe, he too began singing. "I see trouble on the way."
Hearing Kinah's scream, stopped him dead in his tracks. Snapping his head, he turned to look at her. A large demon that resembled a bear swung his mace, just slicing into Dom's stomach. Groaning out in pain, he thrusted his hand into the demon, grabbing it's heart and yanking it out as he watching it fall to the ground.
"Kinah.." He called to her, making sure everything was okay. Did she need healing? Suddenly Jadon's scream of pain filled the air. Demons were circling him as Dominick took off at a sprint. "JADON!" He screamed, fighting his way through to his friend.

She heard him call her name and waved him off. She was fine. She just needed pretend he didn't exist because if she looked to him then she wouldn't look away. But his scream of Jadon was too much. She whirled around just to see her friend fall limp to the ground. "No," she breathed out.
The demon she was battling took advantage of her distrated state and whipped her across the back with the spiked chain he held as a weapon. She let out a shriek of both pain and anger. In one swift move she spun around, severing the demon's head from its body. Still enraged, she opened a cut from its collar to its waist and then launched up, kicking off its chest. It was beyond dead by the time she was finished.
She ran to Dominick and Jadon, forgetting the blood seeping from her side and the pain in her back. She took out a few demons on her way (nineteen, twenty) before reaching Jadon. Tears were falling from her eyes and she blindly took out another demon advancing toward her. "Fix him, Dommie," she pleaded. Her fingers mingled in his hair as she turned her face to Dominick's. She sucked in a water-logged breath and rose to her feet again, blasting at another demon with her light.
She could do this. She could fight and pay attention to her friends. She had to now, her body was giving her no choice.

The rest faded into white noise, the occasional loud scream cutting into his slippery consciousness and startling him back into a somewhat comprehensive state, and he fought to stay there. But the more he moved, the harder and faster he felt the blood seeping out of his back. "Take it out," he wheezed hoarsely, fingers going into spasms, trying to decide if they wanted to grip his swords, the ax, or nothing at all. "Please take it out."
Jadon turned his face into the grass andn grimaced, a sharp dazzle of pain driving up his spine and hitting the back of his head. This was nothing compared to rapid gunfire. This wasn't World War Two. This was the end.
So much for natural armor. That demon pierced right through it with no problem at all. He was...useless. Or, at least, his powers were. But he couldn't do this with all brawn, and on top of that the no-brain that he had convinced himself was the proper way to keep fighting. His brain kept returning to his friends, how they were risking themselves tending to his idle body. Goddamn it, this shit hurt.
The floods of demons didn't cease to watch the spectacle they were making over him. Jadon resented their help, though he knew he shouldn't have, and conjured a spear and sent it flying into a demon's abdomen as it reeled back, about to hack Shekinah in half. Another he discharged around Dominick, keeping him from being severed.
"I'm u'kay," he mumbled, getting up onto his hands and knees, spitting onto the ground. "Let's get this over with."

Just as he was reaching Jadon, another scream left Kinah, which made him whirl around to look at her. Seeing her continuing the fight, made him assure of his actions to rescue Jadon. He let out a irritated growl as he swiped through the demons that stood between him and his brother.
"Fix him, Dommie,"
He gave a nod, severing one demon in half as he finally reached Jadon. "Please take it out." He gave another nod as he took hold of the axe in Jadon's spine and quickly took it out. "I'm u'kay," He shook his head. "Bullshit." He told him angrily as he watching him climb to his knees. "You want to die? You keep going on with this injury and you will, Jadon. Damn it, let me heal you." He spat, grabbing at Jadon's shoulder as he placed his other hand on the small of his back.
All the while, more demons began charging at them. "KINAH!" He screamed back at her. "Do the dome! NOW!" He shouted over at her. It was the only thing that would take them out, and would be long enough to where he could heal Jadon fully.
Damn it to hell... He wondered if this fight would ever end.

Stupid fucking self-sacrificing men. Can't even admit when they're hurt bad... She was glad Dominick put his foot down on that. It took like four second to get healed and Jadon was gonna skip on that? She was gonna hurt that boy if he got himself killed.
At Dominick's scream, she looked up and nodded. She tried once but it was to no avail. She swore harshly and quietly, closing her eyes and focusing better. This was important; she'd need more power than usual. She summoned up as much light as she could manage, until it shone through her skin and her eyes as if it was consuming her. Just when it would have caused damage, she released.
The light shot straight up, taller than some of the buildings and then fanned out. The beam fed into the sides then, forming the dome. It faded after a minute, disintegrating the demons and a few of the trees as well. Shekinah collapsed to her knees and let her head drop, breathing heavy. Eyes shut, she listened. It wasn't silent, but it was quiet. In the distance, the sounds of battle still raged but the Park was quiet. They were safe. For a short time, at least.
"Shit," she spat out, as a closing remark. She rocked back, sitting on the ground next to Jadon. She nursed her wounded side and tried to sit in such a way so her back didn't hurt. Her hand inched to the side though, gripping a dagger. Had to be ready. Never knew what was coming and when it would arrive.
