She entered the Saints & Sinners Lounge with a purpose. Ever since she had been struck with that memory with Jadon she couldn't get her mind off it. And she couldn't stop from wanting to tell Dominick. She wanted to...wanted to know what he made of it. Maybe... Did he remember his life? She couldn't be the only one who had let it fade away, could she? Dominick would know. So she was going to him. Which wasn't unusual, really. Moving right for the barcounter, she was relieved to find him there. She didn't know what she would've done had he been out or in the back room. Licking her lips she stopped right in front of him. Gripping the bar and leaning in she announced, "I had a husband."

Unlike most nights; it seemed to have gotten busier in here. If that was possible. He saw Sheki walk in, but barely had a moment to say hello before another order came blaring at him. He was worn out, needed sleep, needed food. He hadn't been sleeping too well lately, night terrors of Hell keeping him awake.
"I had a husband."
He stopped, the glass in his hand dropping to the floor and shattering into pieces. "What?" He asked, brows perked as he looked at her. He shook his head, crouching down and picking up the broken glass. "Jamie, take over for me." The woman simply grunted.
He walked around the bar, grabbing Kinah's hand and pulling her into the back, sitting her down on the couch. "Excuse me, you what now?"

She allowed him to lead her without protest and sat. Nodding, she shrugged, "I know, right? It's crazy." She shook her head, indicating that she wasn't sure of what to make of it either. "I was just hanging out with Jadon and I looked at the sky and..." She licked her lips, thinking it over. "And suddenly I could remember being alive. 'Cause I've never known anything about my life, you know. And...I remembered a husband. Or boyfriend. Or lover. Something."
Holy crap, that possibilities. She could have had kids. She could have been having an affair. Running a hand through her hair, she steadied her breathing. "And now that I know this little bit... I want to know more," she admitted for the first time. She wanted to know everything about the life she had left behind...

"I know, right? It's crazy."
Crazy wasn't the word for it, but he stayed silent, letting her continue. "I was just hanging out with Jadon and I looked at the sky and..." She licked her lips, thinking it over. "And suddenly I could remember being alive. 'Cause I've never known anything about my life, you know. And...I remembered a husband. Or boyfriend. Or lover. Something."
Dom scratched at the back of his head as he took a seat on his desk, his hands in his lap as he looked at her. "And now that I know this little bit... I want to know more," He gave a slight nod. "Okay.. so.. Know more." He shrugged. What else was he suppose to say?
"I mean." He scratched at his head a moment, taking to his feet. "Knowing more isn't always the best case, y'know?"

"I mean." He scratched at his head a moment, taking to his feet. "Knowing more isn't always the best case, y'know?"
Shekinah looked up at him, mouth slightly parted. "I...I don't know. I'm curious, though. I mean, shit, I had a family, Dommie. I could've had my own family. Like with kids." She was cursing again and not even out of anger. Just because she wanted to.
Her lips pursed in thought as she played with her hands in her lap. "I miss it. Which is stupis because how do you miss something you can't even remember, right?"

"I...I don't know. I'm curious, though. I mean, shit, I had a family, Dommie. I could've had my own family. Like with kids."
He chewed on the inside of his cheek. Here I thought we were family, all of us fallen and non-fallen. Brothers, and sisters. But it's always been different with you, I tried.. I mean I tried so hard to look at you like a sister.. He sighed, nodding.
"I miss it. Which is stupis because how do you miss something you can't even remember, right?"
He shrugged. "I.. don't know, Sheki. I.. I don't remember anything of my past. Only being in heaven, and fighting and then.. as they say, the rest is history."

"I.. don't know, Sheki. I.. I don't remember anything of my past. Only being in heaven, and fighting and then.. as they say, the rest is history."
Shekinah sighed and pulled a pillow into her lap. She hugged it tight to her chest. "Maybe it would've been better if I had never remembered. Never would have had any idea what I had had... Definitely couldn't miss it then." She rolled her eyes at herself and let out a deep sigh.
Looking back to him, she managed a grin. "Freak-out over, I think," she joked weakly. "Sorry about that. It's just been eating me up inside, you know?" She hugged the pillow closer and giggled. "I couldn't wait to tell you about it, for some reason."

"Maybe it would've been better if I had never remembered. Never would have had any idea what I had had... Definitely couldn't miss it then."
Dom looked down a moment, sitting back on the corner of his desk. "Maybe." He offered softly. But really, who was he to say? There were days when he found himself trying to remember his past, but only found it was futile.
"Freak-out over, I think," she joked weakly. "Sorry about that. It's just been eating me up inside, you know?" She hugged the pillow closer and giggled. "I couldn't wait to tell you about it, for some reason."
He offered a smile. "Well, I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. Not anytime soon." He chuckled softly at that, and shrugged. Maybe it was time to face up to the fact, that he would never see Shekinah as a sister. And maybe, that was a good thing...

"Well, I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. Not anytime soon."
Shekinah chuckled more and shook her head. Her grin was wide as she faced him. "Good, I'm glad. I dunno what I'd do without you." Smirking, she pushed the pillow to the side and tucked her legs underneath herself. She tugged on her hair and added, "Though I don't know why you put up with me." She laughed a little further.
Her wings fluttered a little and she leaned back, relaxing. She should just stop thinking about her past. It was her past, done. She was living in this life now. She had a new family now; Omni and Jadon and Dominick. Well...Dominick...

"Good, I'm glad. I dunno what I'd do without you."
"Die a miserably and heart-wrenching, depressed, death?" He took a guess, a smile sprawled out across his face. "Of course, I'm only joking." He quickly added with a chuckle. "But no, seriously.. you'd be lost." He grinned.
"Though I don't know why you put up with me."
"Hmm..." He licked at his lips. "I could ask you the same about me, Sheki." He smiled. "I think it comes down to.." Love.. Why couldn't he say it? "..is.." Damn it, he was getting frustrated now.
"Don't make me say it." He mumbled, looking down. "You know why, Shekinah..." He trailed off softly. "You've always known."

She laughed happily at his joke, her wings fluttering along. Shaking her head softly, one hand reached up to toy with a curl of hair. "But no, seriously.. you'd be lost." She raised her eyebrows. "I would be, you know," she agreed candidly. Her stomach jumped at his grin. And he was so right. Dominick kept her grounded when she swung too far one way or the other. He kept her balanced and she loved him for it.
"I could ask you the same about me, Sheki."
"Put up with you?" she asked, grin chasing her words. "Shit, didn't we just establish that I couldn't get by without you?" She laughed openly. Dominick was never a burden to her like she was sure she was to him.
The air suddenly shifted around them and Shekinah cocked her head in response. "Don't make me say it." He mumbled, looking down. "You know why, Shekinah..." He trailed off softly. "You've always known." Her face screwed up at that. Was he saying...what she thought he was playing? Inhaling, she licked her lips. She stood slowly and moved to him. Putting a hand to his cheek, she lifted his face, meeting his eyes. Her fingers played at the ends of his hair softly as she studied him. "I do?" she asked softly, unsure.
She suspected sure, and hoped, maybe. But she definitely didn't know.

"Put up with you?" she asked, grin chasing her words. "Shit, didn't we just establish that I couldn't get by without you?"
He smiled softly, nodding. But kept silent, the air was thick between them. But what came next, was a bit of surprise to him. She took to her feet, and walked over to him. He sat there, starring as her fingers touched his hair. His eyes closed a moment, relishing in the feeling of her touch.
"I do?"
His brows furrowed. "Oh come on, Shekinah." He muttered. "You know.. I've known, and you've known." He replied softly. But that look on her face still persisted. He starred at her, gently and slowly, his hands came up and cupped her face. "You've always known." He whispered, as he leaned in, gently kissing her lips.

Her heart skipped when his hands touched her face. Breathing gone thin, she completely didn't predict what happened next. His lips on hers surprising and she froze. But she realized that it felt good. She sunk into the kiss, letting her body rest against his a little. Her hand curved around to rest on th back of his neck, drawing him closer. She didn't expect herself to heat up like this, to have her mind flutter. Infatuation melded with love and it made her stomach dance and a blush rise to her face.
She was such a bad angel. Temperance and resistence and denying carnal desires; all codes she was breaking.
But then she didn't care. She didn't care that she wasn't being a proper angel, that she had gotten a taste of her past and wanted more. Forget about her past. Well, not really forget about it, because her past had led her to the present. And she was very, very happy with her present at the moment.

She pulled him closer, and he thought he'd lose it right then and there.
A moment later, he slowly pulled away as his eyes fluttered open, his mouth slightly agape. He didn't know what to say, as he licked at his lips. Her taste was still there, he could still taste her on his lips. He leaned forward, resting his forehead against hers as he smiled softly.
He had to say something. Anything!
"Sheki.." Okay.. now what? He said something, but it was nothing profound, nothing like the movies he'd watched. "I.."
Jamie opened the curtain, and peaked her head inside, her eyes slightly wide at the sight, she turned her head away. "Oh.. uh.. Dominick?" Dominick let forth a mix between a sigh and a laugh. "Yeah?" He asked, lifting his head up.
"We need some help out here. Rush hour just came in.. and I am.. so, so sorry for interrupting.." The girl blushed slightly. Dominick smiled, running a hand through his hair, tugging at the ends. "Okay."

There was something so familiar in the way he kissed. Which was ridiculous, because she had never kissed him. She had never kissed anyone, not since her rebirth... But she could have sworn she knew his lips, the taste of his tongue... But before she could solidify the thought, he pulled away. She gave a soft noise, a little mewl of disappointment.
She chuckled at his attempt to speak before turning at the sudden interruption. Seeing Jamie, she blushed bright red and ducked her face against his chest. Shit, shit, shit. "Guess you gotta get back to work, huh?" She met his eyes, smiling soft.
Why did she feel like she had been here before? Pressed against him and flushed from his kiss?

He sucked in his lips, a smile on his face as he nodded to Jamie. "Okay.." He let out a soft chuckle. "I'll uh.. be right out." He told her. And just like that, she was gone. And they were alone again. Shekinah was pressed against him, her face buried in his chest.
"Guess you gotta get back to work, huh?"
He nodded softly, a hand on her back rubbing softly. "Yeah.." He smiled. "Wanna give me a hand?" He asked softly. "Can always use an extra one.. and hey, who knows.. Maybe Jadon's out there."

"Yeah.." He smiled. "Wanna give me a hand? Can always use an extra one.. and hey, who knows.. Maybe Jadon's out there."
The hand on her back was warm and comforting. She liked it; liked the feel of it. She should be considering how wrong it was for her to enjoy his touch against her skin. As it was, she couldn't find room in her to care. She looked up at him bashfully. "Yeah, sure," she replied, smile slowly finding her face. "Can we..." She blushed bright and lowered her eyes. "Can we do that again first?" she asked, embarrassed to be asking.
She needed to feel it again... Just once more.

"Yeah, sure. Can we.. Can we do that again first?"
The pressure was on. It was an impulse before.. Now.. he was being asked to kiss her. He blinked a few times, his mouth slightly open. He wanted to say something, but the way she was looking at him.. His lips pursed together before he licked them.
Leaning down, his lips gently brushed hers in a sweet, tender and soft kiss. Why.. why did this feel.. so.. right? So.. normal? Yet.. this is the first time he'd kissed anyone.. ever.. Well, as far as he knew... But this.. it felt so right, so perfect, so.. comfortable. Like he was home, for once..

She inhaled slowly, reveling in the feeling. It was odd. Really, it was just skin touching skin. And they had done that before; hugged, touched each other, held hands. But this...was so much more. She accepted the kiss readily, not wanting to initiate it further, knowing they had to break away soon.
She did, eventually, pull away. Her soft, innocent smile broke into a wide grin and then she was laughing. She touched his cheek tenderly before turning away and pulling him out to the front room. Whoa. It really was crowded out there. Her wings fluttered and she cast a sidelong glance to Dominick. She could still feel his lips on hers, his hands on her body. She liked it.

And just like that, it was over. And she was pulling him out into the crowded pub. He smiled, a soft blush on his cheeks as Angels starred at him. He blew out a deep breath, and licked at his lips, still tasting her there. The jukebox song changed, and his head softly bobbed to the song by Led Zepplin.
He took the lead now, pulling her along to behind the bar counter. "Whatcha need?" He asked, leaning in to hear the man over the music. "A hail mary!" Dominick laughed softly, shaking his head as he turned around and started making a drink as another was shouted out. "Hellfire!" He sighed, smiling slightly as his eyes landed on Kinah.
