She grinned and followed his lead, taking orders and making drinks. So she didn't know all the ingredients; she was a telepath. She just tapped into Dominick and Jamie's knowledge. Easy enough. And she was doing a damn good job, if she said so herself. Smiling to a customer as she handed off a Holy Water, she felt his eyes on her. Turning, she met his gaze and passed him a smile. And then she knew.
Her hair was braided around her head like a halo and she loved her dress. She sipped carefully from a drink as she watched the party go on around her. It was some sort of ritual or religious blessing or something. There was a bonfire. Her family and friends the...village? town? danced, cheeks blushing in the night air. And across the flickering flames, she caught his eyes. Her future husband's. He passed her a smile, bowed his head to her, and she returned with a coy smile. Then he approached her.
Oh shit. She exhaled slowly as her current surroundings rushed back to her. It was him. It was Dominick. Holy crap. "It was you," she breathed out, eyes wide with wonder.

"It was you,"
His brows furrowed as he stopped mixing a drink a moment. "What?" He asked, raising his voice over the music. "I can't hear you." He laughed, before handing the drink to it's desired person. He turned around, grabbing Shekinah's hand, and it hit him like a semi..
The flames before him danced, he was dressed in white and brown, a hat on the top of his head as his eyes danced around the people through the flames. It was some sort of ritual or religious blessing or something, he wasn't sure what. But the people looked genuinely happy. Then, just like magic, she walked in front of the fire. He passed a smile, taking his hat off and bowing his head at her before taking to his feet. "Mi lady.."
The sudden rush of the music, and the people came back to him. Dominick starred at her dumbfounded. "It.. was me.. and you.. and.."

He took her hand and then froze for a minute. When he came back, his eyes flashed and he said, "It.. was me.. and you.. and.." Guess he got a fun flashback too. Holy crap this was....
"Fuck yeah!" she exclaimed, eyes wide. She put a hand to the side of her face, astounded. Dominick was her husband. It was him. He was the one...all along. This was... This was good! She had...both. She had the husband she had been unconsciously missing and her best friend all rolled into one. "This is so..." she trailed off, words getting lost in a short bout of giggles. "Hey. It was you. It is you."
Overcome by some stunning happiness, she laughed once and leapt him into a hug. Which was ridiculous because it was busy and they had drinks to fill. But she had her husband, damnit, and she was happy!

"Fuck yeah!"
He was still in shock. Flashes of the flashback going over and over in his mind. What time was that? Early 1900's? He found himself reaching behind him, knocking off bottles from the sheleves as he took in a deep breath and let it all out in one big woosh.
"This is so..." she trailed off, words getting lost in a short bout of giggles. "Hey. It was you. It is you."
Suddenly, she was jumping into his arms, which almost sent him to the floor. But he quickly gained control. Wrapping his arms around he, he starred out at the angry customers. "Yeah.. it was.. I mean.. it is.." He shook his head.
This is beyond, beyond strange.. No memory.. and then WHAM! It hit him hard.. He wanted to know more.. Learn more. Who was he at that time? What did he do? How.. How did he die..?

She backed away from him a little, grinning a little. "Are you all right?" she asked, still smiling. She knew that face. That was the same face she had on when she had first remembered everything. When everything was suddenly rushing within her and she just wanted to know everything about the life she had once led.
A customer angrily requested his drink, for the third time and Shekinah pulled away from Dominick a second, flashing him a smile. She would give him a little room, to think all that over. It was a lot to take in all at once, she knew. She went about making the drink for the demon, double-time so he wouldn't get angrier. Every so often she would glance over to Dominick, just to make sure he was all right.

"Are you all right?"
Dazed, he blinked a few times. "Huh? Oh.. mhm." He smiled softly at her. But still felt like he couldn't move. He stared out at the customers, as many of them waved their hands infront of his face, trying to get his attention. "Hello... Dominick... My drink please?"
He closed his eyes, gripping at the counter. "Yeah.. Yeah, coming up." He swallowed dryly, and turned, making the drinks for them. His head turned slightly, seeing that smile on Shekinah's face, only made him smile more.

She chuckled at his dazedness and shook her head. Just took time. Getting used to the fact that you had been someone before you were this someone. Hell, she was still kind of getting used to it. But it was crazy that he was... She still hadn't quite wrapped her head around that. She couldn't believe she hadn't picked up on it sooner, honestly. After all the time she spent with him...
She kept up the drink-making, hoping to at least make a dent in the crowd. She was glad she remembered. She was glad it had brought her and Dominick together, in whatever way that it had. And she was giddy happy, because every time he looked over at her with that smile, she couldn't help the giggles spilling from her. Jamie must think she was some silly school girl.
Then her stomach dropped, plummeted to the foor and kept going. 'Cause she had to go back, she was still an angel. But she had Dominick now. More than that, she had him again. She had her past in him, with him. No fucking way was she losing that.. Her brow furrowed a little as she considered that, making a Hell Hound for some customer. How could she work this? Because the only solution she saw was the one she had been turning in her head for quite some time now: Falling.

It felt like forever, drink after drink, after drink.. It was a never ending process. Yes, he loved it. But all he could think about now was sleep, and more thinking on his past. As another group of demons walked out the door, rush hour came to an end.
"Jamie, you think you can take over from here?" He asked her, making his way towards the private room. "Sure, no problem." She smiled, giving a nod. He stopped, looking back at Shekinah. "You coming?" He asked softly.
[[suuuucky, sorry.]]

[[Noooo, it was fine. ^^]]
She was exhausted. How did Dominick do this every day? She she hadn't even worked all day. She was only at it for a few hours. She made herself a very, very weak Holy Water (more water than Holy Water, really) and downed it in one swallow. Mmm, that felt better. She could feel her muscles relaxing already. Or maybe that was just because everything had slowed a bit.
"You coming?"
She set the empty glass on the counter and nodded, wearing a soft smile. "Of course," she murmured easily. She caught up to him, passing Jamie an appreciative grin on the way there. Moving to follow him, a nervous sort of anxiety started in her stomach. But it was a good kind of feeling.

"Of course,"
He smiled, looking back at her, holding the beads back so she could pass through. What did this mean? Were they married? What did that mean for them now? Was it all destiny, working in their favor? He had so many questions, and yet no answers.
He took a seat on the couch, his mind reeling with thoughts. "What does this mean?" He asked softly. What kind of man was he back then? Was he as kind as he was now? Was he gentle and sweet or was he rough and rowdy?
So many questions..

She tipped her head to him as she passed through the curtain, moving into the back room. Running her fingers through her hair, she took a seat at the couch. She immediately relaxed upon sitting, crossing her legs underneath her. At his question, she face him, eyes curious. What did it mean? She had no clue. It was either som major coincidence or fate and destiny manipulating things. Either way, she was just immensely happy that it had worked out.
"I dunno," she admitted. "Can't believe I didn't know before..." she added. She wished she could have realized earlier, when she had first met him. Maybe then... something. She didn't know. Her fingers played with the fabric of her skirt as she offered him a smile, studying him. They had been married. This had been her husband. She had been married to this man... Ridiculous.
Something made her chuckle shortly. At least she had had good taste in men in her past life.

"I dunno," she admitted. "Can't believe I didn't know before..."
He bite down on his lower lip. All those years, never knowing who he was in his past life. And now.. He still didn't really know. He closed his eyes, hoping another flashback would occur, but all he heard was Shekinah's soft chuckle.
His head turned to her, perking a brow at her curiously. "What are you laughing about?" He asked, chuckling softly himself. What was so funny about this? He didn't know if he was the same man that he was, back then.
He needed more, needed to know more than this..

She smirked to him. "Just thinkin' that I must've had good taste in the past as well." Her brow furrowed a second later though, as she thought it over. Well, wasn't that a clue? They worked together now, they had worked together then. She was the same woman she had been. He was the same man. Or... well, if they had been different, if they had changed, than they must have changed in the same way.
But, then, again, did that mean anything? If you followed the whole destiny and soulmates bit, then they could've fallen for each other no matter what: no matter who they were, had been, what changes had occurred, what the time period was...
She sighed, confused. She settled back against the couch, wings stretching a bit. "This is tedious," she admitted with soft sigh. "There's got to be a way to remember..." But was there? Nothing had prompted the flashbacks before, just flashes of familiar occurences: looking at the sky, kissing Dominick, meeting his eyes across a room...

"Just thinkin' that I must've had good taste in the past as well."
She was laughing about this? He starred at her, brows furrowed as a unbeknown smile found his face. "You are so weird." He told her softly, shaking his head. He sucked in his bottom lip, gnawing at it slightly as he thought about what this meant.. What did this mean?
All those years.. and nothing. And now.. just because of Serena he gets a flash of a memory? How was any of that fair? He was sure to make a mental note and complain to Omni about all of this 'past lives' business. This was crap.. He wanted to know more... Need to know more.
More than this, at least.
[[Sorry, sucky... 5:30am here..]]

[[lol it's fine. But you wrote "serena" not "shekinah" XD]]
Shekinah giggled softly and nodded. She had long known that of course. Her head dropping to the side, she watched as he seemed to seriously think something over. Probably his past. "You want more now, huh?" Of course he did. Just as she had. Still did. She wanted to know everything about her past life. But now that she knew it was Dominick...it seemed a little easier. Less lonely, at least. She didn't have to miss everyone in her past. 'Cause he was still there with her.
Letting out a little exhale, she took his hand, playing with the fingers. It was an absent gesture, just something to do, maybe to offer him a little comfort. But unconsciously she was hoping for another shock of a memory. So that she could know and so that Dominick could know too. She would have taken any clue, any image, anything. Nothing came, though. She shouldn't have expected anything really.
Frustrating. So they were just supposed to wait until the flashes of memories came, whenever they pleased?
