She nodded, eyes drifting to Felix as she watched him trot toward them. Her hand dropped to rest lightly on the dog's head. After a moment, she brought her arms around herself, hugging for comfort. Hands rubbing up her arms, she looked to him as he described what had happened.
She smiled to him, nodding. "Well, I'm very thankful for your fast reflexes," she commented, starting off in the direction of her building. Arms tightening around herself even more she asked, "So was that a demon then? That was after us?" An involuntary shudder ran through her as she thought of it.
A real demon. She had never seen one; never been in the presence of one. She was just a little freaked out by it all. "Whoa," she breathed out quietly.

"Well, I'm very thankful for your fast reflexes,"
He smiled, walking beside her with Felix at their heels. "Starting to make me sound like a knight." He chuckled gently, smiling over at her. "That your place?" He pointed to the building they were walking towards.
"So was that a demon then? That was after us?"
"Yeah.." She'd probably never seen one in her life, and he'd seen too many. Odd. "Yeah," He huffed with a light laugh. "I've seen my share of 'em." His head dipped down, looking at his feet as they walked.
"Whoa,"
His head lifted, turning to her. "You okay?" He asked softly. Don't.. don't touch her.. cause you know it won't end there.. not that you mind.. His hand reached out, rubbing her arm gently.

"Starting to make me sound like a knight."
She laughed lightly at that, shaking her head. "Not even," she said confidently. But, being honest, he kind of was. He had saved her from the forces of evil on horseback. Okay, so he hadn't been on the horse, he was the horse, but still. He was certainly turning out to be a bit kinght-like. "That your place?" Following his finger, she nodded. Home sweet home. Well, home sweet run-down, cramped, seventh-floor-walk-up. But at this point it could be a shack with only three walls and nothing else and Spyra would be happy to see it.
"I've seen my share of 'em."
She turned to him suddenly, eyes curious. She wondered what he meant by that. But...she didn't want to know. Not at that moment. She didn't want to know how he had come to see his share of demons. She didn't want to think that they were abundant enough for him to have seen them all over. She let out another breath.
"You okay?"
She leaned heavily into his touch as she shrugged. "Just a little shook up," she admitted. She attempted a smile though, reassuring him. They reached her building then and she stopped, looking up at it a second before turning back to Jude. "I didn't say thank you, did I?" she grinned briefly, stepping toward him. "Thanks. Really. Guess it truly was lucky I found you, huh? Else I'd be dead now."
Oh, Christ she would've been dead.

"Just a little shook up,"
He could understand that. Her adrenaline was probably pumping through her body right about now. He turned slightly, stopped her just as they reached the door. He didn't say anything, just smiled softly as he rubbed her arm. "Understandable."
"I didn't say thank you, did I?"
"Thank?" He chuckled airly. "For what?" He asked, curious. "Thanks. Really. Guess it truly was lucky I found you, huh? Else I'd be dead now." For once he didn't know what to say. My pleasure? Your welcome?
"Yeah." He gave a nod. "It was fun, in it's weird way."

"Understandable."
Understable. Right. Because there was an "understable" way to act upon surviving a potential demon attack. "Yeah," she murmured softly, feeling a little better.
Guess she had just needed some time. Time to calm down, to clear the adrenaline from her veins. Swallowing deliberately, she let her arms fall to her sides. But she positioned herself so that her arm was still touching his hand. She shouldn't have; she should've put some distance between the two of them. But she didn't.
"Yeah." He gave a nod. "It was fun, in it's weird way."
"Fun?" she repeated, odd sort of grin on her face. "All right. That would not be my first choice of word... I'd more say interesting. It was certainly interesting, Jude."
Shifting her weight to her right foot, the one closer to him, she rocked onto her toes and pressed a slow, easy kiss to his lips. Her eyes hooded as she felt the last of her nerves drift away.

He grinned widely, a slight blush coming to his cheeks as he laughed gently. His finger slightly touched her arm, drawing slow circles on her skin, his mind screaming at him to make a move. But apparently, she did it for him. He eased into the kiss, but as it ended, his hand grabbed her arm.
Twirling her back towards his chest, he caught her; their eyes locked. A soft smile crossed his lips as he dipped her down and kissed her deeply.

As she broke the kiss, she moved to turn away, to say her goodbyes and go inside. He, however, seemed to have different plans. He caught her arm and pulled her to his chest, pressing a deep kiss to her. Her knees bent a little as he eased her back. Just like in those old movies when the hero dipped his dame for the climactic kiss.
Her arms immediately went around his shoulders as she let herself be kissed by him. One hand trailed into his hair a little as she struggled not to fall too hard for this guy. They had just met after all. But damn he was a good kisser. She arched her back a little, pressing her front against his. She was glad for his arms securing her because her balance was slowly getting weaker and weaker.
Eventually she made herself break the kiss, their lips separating with an audible smack. Meeting his eyes she expelled, "Well." She took in a deep breath and found a smile crossing her thoroughly-kissed lips. "Maybe you do have a little 'knight-in-shining-armor' in you after all."

He put a few fingers to his lips as he smiled at her, a soft chuckle escaping him. "I told you." He grinned. He reached out, taking her hand. His eyes locked on hers as he kissed it tenderly. "Guess this is goodnight then."
Felix wagged his tail, his tongue hanging out of his mouth. He walked up to Spyra and licked the hand that Jude didn't have. "Felix says goodnight too." He laughed easily.

[[such a pretty siggy!! t'ank you!! ^ ^]]
She rolled her eyes good-naturedly as he pressed a kiss to her hand. "Guess this is goodnight then." She ending up giggling and then shaking her head at herself for it. "Why thank you, kind sir," she said, dipping into a mock-curtsy.
Glancing down, she smirked at the rough feeling against her palm. "Felix says goodnight too." She laughed at that and nodded. "Night mutt," she told Felix affectionately, rubbing at his head.
She turned from him, moving toward the steps to her building. She went slow though, and ended up halting half-way there. "So, I'll see you around or something? I guess?" She had tried her best to seem nonchalant and casual. She still ended up sounding a little too eager, in her mind. Oh well, after a kiss like that only a crazy girl wouldn't be eager to see him again.

"So, I'll see you around or something? I guess?"
He walked back towards the street, stopping and turning around at her question. A slow smile spread across his lips. "Depends.." He called back. "Do you want to see me again?" He chuckled. Of course she does..
He took in a deep breath, watching her for a long time. "I live at that.. new mansion for mutants.." Shit, he couldn't remember the name. "Belleza something..." He chuckled. "G'night spyra." He called out in a sing-song voice.
He turned, to walk away. But stopped just a few steps. "It was.. interesting." He smirked. Waving a hand at her before walking away.

"Depends.." He called back. "Do you want to see me again?"
She just scoffed, smirking back at him. She didn't answer him; didn't need to. He knew just as much as she did what her reply would be. Dropping a hand to her hip, she tossed her hair behind one shoulder and just met his gaze.
"I live at that.. new mansion for mutants.." Shit, he couldn't remember the name. "Belleza something..." He chuckled. "G'night spyra."
"Right," she replied. Chuckling a little at his sing-song, she pressed her lips together. He was cute, she'd give him that. And he definitely knew it. "Goodnight, Jude," she replied, leaning against the railing of her building's porch.
"It was.. interesting."
A single laugh burst through at that and she shook her head. "It certainly was." She snuffed through her nose, amusedly, before finally turning. Jogging up the stairs, she pushed the door open and made her way up the seven floors. She had a story to write, with a cocky, sure-of-himself, not-quite-a-knight-in-shining-armor as starring character.
