Cian swallowed and, as Emma went to tend to Sai, finally glanced around. Wreckage was abound a few car alarms were going off as well. He silenced them with his telekinesis and got rid of the smoke as well. Whoever the hell that bastard was seemed to have left. Fuck. Cian made a mental note to tell Dean and Colette about what had happened and then track the fucker down and kill him twice.
He moved to where Oliver stood, wailing, and lifted him up. Holding the little boy against his chest, Cian took a moment to bury his face in his son's neck. "Sorry, love," he murmured so only Ollie could hear him. "Sorry, sorry." Rubbing his back, he rocked Oliver gently and moved closer to Emma.
"Let's just get inside for now, yeah?" Looking to Sai, though, he changed his mind. "Unless you need a hospital? Or..." He shrugged, ending the sentence there. He was shaken and still in shock, a little. If Saikoro needed a hospital, fine, they could take him. But after that he planned on getting into his house and then contacting Dean and Colette first thing in the morning.
And in between then and now he really just wanted to hold his son and wife.

Saikoro shook his head. "No really, Emma, I'm fine. It's just a little scratch, is all." He sighed and tried to focus his eyes on her face. It was blurry, and it kept moving back and forth. He heard Cian speak and then he shook his head once more, taking a step forward.
"Yeah, I'm fine....just once I get this stupid pipe out.." He began, tugging at the long metal that had skewered his arm. He shifted it only slightly, causing a pain to rush to his arm and he let out an injured sound. Sai lost his balance, falling to his knees. As much as he knew the hospital would be best, he didn't want to go there. He hated hospitals. They had scared him bad enough when Ollie was born.

"Don't do that," she chided him gently, touching his arm tentatively, occasionally looking back to Cian to make sure he wasn't too irritated with this whole ordeal--her helping Sai, that is. "It's better to have someone who knows what they're doing take it out. You could lose your arm if you try."
Finally, Ollie's cries pierced her earshot. After helping Saikoro to his feet again, she went to Oliver, putting a hand on the back of his head as he looked at her from his position on Cian's chest. He seemed to be calming now, but she didn't want him out here, with all this...wreckage.
What a night. From a simple midnight craving for grilled cheese to a near-death experience.

"Should I take him then?" Cian really didn't want to be alone with the man but... Well, Emmanuelle still looked a little worse for wear and Oliver needed to get back to bed. "You and Ollie can stay and get to sleep." He cringed a little at that, though. He wasn't sure that he wanted to leave his family alone, either. Especially considering what had just happened...
"Or maybe we should all go?" he revised. "Don't know that I'm comfortable leavin' the two of y' alone." He put a hand to Emma's back and tucked Oliver closer to his side.

Once Emma helped him up, Saikoro shook his head, holding up a hand. "No, really....it's fine. Besides, I was supposed to be home an hour ago...Amarie will worry. I can just get this pipe out and bandage it when I get home, no big problem." He explained before he yanked the pipe out. The second he did, the blood began seeping out rather quickly.
Sai's eyes widened and then he let out a sigh of frustration. "I have a feeling that's not a good sign.........and seems as though my eyesight got worse." However, he was about add something when suddenly he just collapsed, going unconscious from loss of blood.

Let him leave? The minute he let the words leave his lips, Emma clung to his sleeve, shaking her head, not saying anything in return. She didn't like the very idea of being left alone right now, especially if she had Oliver with her. Saikoro's response made her turn her head, and she was about to say something when he pulled the pipe out.
"Idiot," she gasped, not knowing what to do, but taking an instinctive step toward him. "Why did you do that!?"
He collapsed on the ground, and she was at an even bigger loss. "Cian," she pivoted to him, not knowing where to turn next. They had to get Saikoro help if they wanted him to live. She bit her lip, knowing her husband might not like that idea. "Give me Ollie," she held out her arms. "I'll call an ambulance?"

The minute Saikoro pulled the pipe out, Cian had pressed Oliver's face into his neck, keeping him secured there. He knew the sight wouldn't be pretty and Oliver didn't need to see. Emma asked for him but he shook his head, gesturing vaguely to the blood, hoping she understood.
"Call the ambulance, though, love," he said, nodding. He didn't have his cell having just run out from bed and hoped she did. Saikoro was bleeding lot and fast and if they didn't get him to an ambulance soon... "Actually." He passed the boy to Emma, careful to keep him from seeing the mess that was his biological father. Kneeling next to the man, he pressed his hands over the wound, immediately feeling warm blood seep over his hands.
Well, he certainly never thought he would be the one keeping this bastard alive...

Frowning when he denied her the boy, Emma fumbled for her pockets with nervous, cold fingers, fiddling around, trying to find her phone, but then she heard Cian give in, and hold out Ollie to her. She took him welcomingly, also putting his face into her, the puddles of blood certainly not a sight for someone so small to see. And when Cian put his hands on the arm...
Well, she felt the grilled cheese all over again.
Emma winced, staring at the wound and at the two men, arms strong and protective around Ollie. She wanted to turn away, go inside, go to sleep... Go to sleep and not wake up until it was all over. "Cian," she started, choking the words, biting her lip, "I'll do it if you don't want to." She knew it had to be so contradicting of him to safe Saikoro's life. But how could they just leave him here to die? The immorality...
She went for her phone again, remembering that they needed an ambulance.

"Just call the ambulance, Emma," he said through gritted teeth. She already looked queasy and weak on her feet. He wasn't about to let her get down on her knees and plunge herself into all this blood and everything... Plus he was already stained; no point in both of them getting dirty...
"You better live," he told Sai in undertone, pressing on the gaping wound harder. "because if I'm doing this all for nothing, I'll..." he trailed off. He'd what? Kill him? Cian rolled his eyes at himself and looked to Emma. His head still ached from whatever that other guy had done to his brain and he really hated to not be touching her or Ollie at the moment.

Sai still wasn't home. She was sitting around and bititng her lip, just wondering if she should go out and look for him. Glancing at the clock, she swore that it seemed to move too fast. He was supposed to be home one whole hour ago. And surely, he would have tried to let her know somehow? Maybe a pay-phone? She somehow thought somethign had gone wrong. But she couldn't just go out and look, because all three girls--and Bernie were very soundly asleep. And she couldn't just leave them alone.. even she, a beginner at parenting, knew leaving children home alone was a bad thing. Especially because Molleigh was a baby and Addy and Shay were both only about seven years old.
Her gaze flicked to the clock every few minutes, and she yawned. Yeah, she was tired, but it was hard to get to sleep without the reassuring knowledge that Sai was right next to her. And she was sort of a naturally worrisome person, so even if t were possible she would have to stay up until he came home, or unless she knew exactly when he would come back and it would be really late or something. She just couldn't be comfortable, not knowing where he was. It was probably just a husband-wife thing.
And, unlike she had thought, Bernie wasn't asleep. He came trotting up to her, and put his head in her lap. whining softly. "You missin' him too, boy?" she asked with a sigh, scratching his ears. Hey.. Bernie was a dog, Maybe he could track Sai?

Obeying without a thought of protest, Emma turned away and dialed the three-digit number, holding the phone to her ear and readjusting Ollie's position in her arm. He was calm down, and seemingly falling asleep in her chest, for which she was thankful. She spoke shakily, but slowly, to the emergency aid on the other end of the line, who claimed that help was on the way and they'd be there as soon as they could. But, with New York traffic, Emma was skeptical.
Oliver stirred in her arms as she ended the phone call and put her phone back in her pocket. She shushed him, rubbing his back and kissing the crown of his head. He yawned twice, shuddered, but then settled into a semi-comfortable position. She knew he wouldn't sleep deeply until they were out of here. Too much stress would make him wake up periodically, but she was determined to keep him as relaxed as she could.
Turning her head back to the men, she thought better than to say something to Cian, who was clearly angry--or at least vexed--about working on Sai.

Of course, Saikoro was completely out still. It was probably a good thing that he stayed out. If he were to wake with Cian's hands on his arm, he probably would end up hurting the guy; or doing something stupid that would worsen his condition. But as he was out, he could see nothing...he could hear nothing. All he could feel was pain. But the pain didn't bother him....for he had gotten over that element known as physical pain.
It was nothing compared to the emotional pain he felt every single day living in New York City. The sooner he and Amarie got out, the faster he'd get rid of that terrible feeling that wrenched at his heart every second of every day. Saikoro knew that when they got out, he'd probably never come back to this place. Amarie might...to visit and such; but not Sai. Besides, who would he visit? He had nothing to keep him here.
Saikoro then got to the worried feeling that he may never wake up. He didn't want that. He wanted to see Amarie. At least, to tell her how much he loved her before he possibly were to die. But that thought caused him to realize a bigger danger. Zarael....the man he stole his identity from..was back. The man he used to be was back and Saikoro could already feel the effect it was having. He knew that if he were to wake and live, he'd have to keep his temper. Sai knew Zarael's presence was enough to change him.....to make him more dangerous than even Azrael had been; more dangerous than Zarael himself.

The ambulance's siren was a distant wail and Cian could only hope it got there soon. It's not the he minded tending Saikoro. Not really. He was Oliver's father, after all and the boy liked him well enough. But after something like what had just happened, Cian just wanted to be as close to his wife and son as possible. And that he was wrist deep in Sai's blood hindered his abilityto be close to them.
He looked up and passed a tremulous smile to Emma. He wasn't mad. He wasn't really. Just anxious to be near them.

Bernie was snuffling around the ground, and she hoped he would hurry up and find Sai. She didn't like being alone, outside, at night, but she had no choice. She wanted to find him, otherwise she wouldn't sleep at all until she saw him again.
"Come on, Bernie," she whispered, patting the dog's back. She thought she hard something, and Bernie seemed to, too. He turned his head to look behind them, and the sound became more distinct. A siren. Like, an ambulance.
She told herself that the ambulance did not mean what she thought. New York was full of crime and crap--the ambulance could be for anyone. But it soon came into sight, rushing down the street before turning a corner.
Bernie took off, Amarie trying to keep up, tripping and trying not to fall over as the dog ran. She was out of breath soon, but luckily, as they finally turned the corner....
Shit. Why? Why? She would kill herself if Sai was dead. First Cain, now Sai... why did people have to get hurt? Especially people she was around? Running, her stride actually matching Bernie's now, Am headed towards the four figures she could make out. Emma... Cian... Sai... and... Ollie.

A sickening feeling came to her stomach when she heard the gushing of blood behind her and Oliver squirming with discomfort in her arms. She wanted to be back with Cian--wished she never went to get something to eat in the first place--but he was covered in blood, and steaming mad, and half-beaten, and...
Well, she didn't have the courage to turn to face him yet.
Picking up her head, a slim, blonde figure caught her eye and she stuck an arm in the air, waving. "Hey," she called, wanting to get Amarie's attention. She needed to get over here. If not for Saikoro's sake, then for Cian's. Emma figured they'd all have an easier time dealing with this if each partner had each other. Saikoro would probably be more comfortable knowing Amarie was here, too.
