The Basics;
[/center]Name: Chi 'Gaze' Dawson
Age: 19
House: Biella
Where you stand: Mutant,
What are you: Student
Powers: Empathy, illusion, invisibility (3)---Dormant power-->psionic shield.
Likes: Playing her flute, peace and love, smoking, reading, having fun, making people laugh, dancing, and wandering.
Dislikes: Oppressors, violent people, mutants who use their power for wasting time, and her family
Personality: Very much like a hippie; all about peace and love and happiness. Nowadays with the anti-mutants she's sad; she hates it when people show strong animosity towards each other. She used to be timid and happy, now she's angry, frustrated, and sad. She's interested in everything; history, writing, reading, music, politics, fashion, technology, and especially world peace. She's quite the philanthropist.
History: Gaze is a nickname that her 'friends' called her before they found out she was a mutant. All 'Gaze' would do is daydream, read, and listen to music and ponder some more. All she would do is gaze at nothing in particular. When she did this, she really wasn't looking at anything, she was feeling the different emotions around her. She liked feeling what others felt. Her power was empathy. A lot of people liked her because she was so understanding, until they found out she was mutant. Her other power was to create illusions. She would mainly do this when empathy didn't work. She only used her powers to help, bring peace. And illusion was perfect when the problem was impossible to resolve. Since she would always be out of it, she discovered that she could also become invisible when she wanted to. All these powers were discovered when she was young. She was frightened of them because she believed she was evil. But, after a while, she managed to only use them for good.
At age 16, chaos erupted. Everyone Gaze loved turned against her once they found out her mutation. Her family never was in harmony with her to be begin with, so they didn't hesitate to kill her. She escaped in the knick of time. She felt their emotions like a slap in the face. She ran. She hide. She used her invisibility so much that when she was in physical form, she look so faint. Collette Richards brought tears of joy, relief, but mainly hopelessness. Hopeless because after all her running, she felt the anti-mutants feelings towards her kind; there was no changing their mind even with a thousands empaths altering their emotions. Once, a violent and terrible anti-mutant tried to attack a small five year old mutant child. Gaze's whole life was about making peace and love, so this triggered her scared and timid nature; she materialized a shield for the little girl. Her new found power was the psionic shield, but it was only active when Gaze had had enough of people's foolish violent nature. It angered her. That anger balled up so much that it creates a shield.
She moved into Biella for safety at age 17 and now she doesn't know what to do so that war won't come...its been two years..still nothing

Example: Sadness drowns Gaze every so often. She got up from her corner in an alley and searched for a person laughing or just having a good time to rid herself of this negative emotion. She was invisible now, so whoever she found wouldn't be weirded out by her abrupt presence. She walked softly in her silk ballet-like shoes, so that people won't freak out by invisible footsteps. Carefully, Gaze navigated throughout the crowd, tasting everyone's emotions. Everyone was just preoccupied or busy or just concentrating on getting out of the crowded sidewalk. Gaze grew desperate. Finally, a cafe was the next business she was approaching and found that there were four girls talking and smiling as though amused. Gaze ducked out of the crowd and slipped by a person coming out of the cafe. She walked over to an empty table near the girls and felt their feelings. They were gossiping about some funny-looking girl at one of the girl's workplace. Relief. Gaze sat there until she couldn't remember why she was sad to begin with.
The girls talked about other funny things, now that they were so amused. Gaze smiled at them, wanting to thank them, but that would be stupid. Gaze got up, stretched carefully to not touch someone and slipped by a couple out the door. She kept walking until she found an alleyway to appear in physical form again. She sighed and joined the crowd. Time to go, I guess, Gaze said ruefully in her mind. She liked being able to be in a crowd without them cringing away from her. She felt peaceful.
