The Basics;
Name: Tanya King
Age: 17
Where you stand: Anti
Powers: Neutralizing is the only power that Tanya has. Tanya's mutation seems to be to cancel out other mutant's mutations weather they be physical or be abilities. Her powers work by physical contact or contact with a part of her but depending on what kind it is effects how long the effect lasts for... Skin to skin contact for example; one second of contact equals roughly two minutes of the nullification of the effects of the x-gene.
With bodily fluids, the effect lasts a good deal longer; the void or nullification of the mutation lasting as long as it takes for the person's system to dispose of or digest it.
Weaknesses: She pretty much has the same amount of weaknesses as the average person of her age, gender, and physical condition. Sure she can run faster than a couch potato but she's no track star. As for strength, she is a little stronger than she would seem but it's nothing abnormal. Her fear of spiders is definitely a weakness, an extreme one.
Power Potential: She will gradually learn how to make her abilities more potent, being able to concentrate more of the nulling into brief contact as she gets the chance to test it out on different mutants. With a few years worth of experimenting and learning on concentrating on her abilities, Tanya may learn how to leave behind a trace of her abilities in objects she had had prolonged contact with via skin cells.
Personality: Tanya has the type of personality where she tends to handle things pretty well as long as it is placed on the table without a bunch of, for lack of better wording, pussyfooting around when it comes to someone confronting her about something or wanting to tell her something that might be potentially shocking. She really doesn't seem to get too shocked over anything really, mostly accepting things as they come and trying to have an open mind about them for the most part.
She doesn't really fit in any category, kind of meshing in with almost all kinds of people as long as they don't show themselves as being a mutant... The only people she'll usually try not to deal with or avoid are people who seem to have a problem with her for one reason or another.
If someone is to insult her or try to harm her, she won't just take it laying down even if she doesn't go out to start fights on her own. She'll stand her ground and if she is backed into a corner, she will either try to talk her way out of the situation or fight viciously.
Tanya is an arachnophobia to almost an extreme. She tries to handle it but whenever she sees a spider she kind of freezes up and if there is more than one, she kind of shrinks away and freezes up some more. If she was ever caught up in a place that had an insane amount of spiders as in coating the walls or something, she'd go from freezing up to freaking out.
Tanya likes to keep active, sitting for longer than a few hours causing her to get a little fidgety and if she's cooped up in one place for more than a day, causing her to try to find means of amusing herself.
After a good deal of convincing, Tanya was gradually brought into thinking that she has her abilities to save humanity from mutants. That she is not a mutant herself but a cure or 'anti mutant'. She was pretty much brainwashed into believing that mutation is a disease rather than a step in evolution and that she belongs as a member and tool of the ANTI-MUTANT ORGANIZATION.
Sometimes, Tanya finds herself questioning the ways of the ANTI-MUTANT ORGANIZATION but has yet to make a move to leave as the thought of her possibly being a key in saving the human race against the 'mutant menace' had been driven so deeply in her mind that it is hard for her to turn her back on the thought as it feels like she may be betraying humanity if the ANTI-MUTANT ORGANIZATION is right.
History: Nothing really out of the ordinary happened in Tanya's childhood life. She got along fairly well with the other kids as she grew up and went through the different grades, passed in her homework on time most of the time, lived out her summer vacations as if they'd never come around again, and joined different groups like the Brownies, Girlscouts, other "wholesome" clubs. She wasn't extremely excited over those things but she didn't dislike them either.
She stopped being able to claim an "ordinary" life around the time she turned nine, it was found that her mother had been cheating on her father and a divorce followed that discovery. William got custody of Tanya, which was decided mostly by her mother as Rose wanted to move onto the next relationship without anything from the last relationship following along. William turned to his best friend for comfort... then over the next few months, the friendship became more before Tanya's father sat her down and had a long conversation about the real relationship that he and Robert had together and to inform her about his decision to let Robert move in with them. Tanya handled it well, just like she handled the divorce as she had always seemed to be able to accept things when they were placed on the table as opposed to things being watered down or pussyfooted around with.
Tanya's mutation was a stealthy one to arrive, it having come when she was about twelve but her having been unaware of it. The way that her father her "uncle" and herself found out was actually when they were contacted about an 'unusual' result that had happened to someone who had received blood from a donation she had given and that hadn't been until she was fifteen. The people who had come hadn't been from the Red Cross or any of those, they had said that they were a group that was out to "fight against the mutant menace" and claiming that they could use her after explaining that one of the people who had received her blood had been a mutant and that her blood seemed to have "cured" that individual temporarily. Her father, not liking the idea of his daughter being tested on and or harassed to agree to do so, told them where they could shove it.
For about another year, they were continuously dropped in on and wanting to lose them and keep Tanya from ending up in some sort of danger, he had a talk with Rob and his daughter and the three of them came up with the agreement to move once the school year was over. The three of them moved to another state and a quiet town where everything seemed to be normal.
The quiet didn't last long as after having an accident involving her having effected another mutant, she found herself with another stalker as the mutant quickly became attached to being 'normal' and constantly tried to get her to use her abilities on him. She managed to lose him after having used her abilities on him by holding his hand for a half an hour in an attempt to make him believe the effect was permanent even with knowing that it would only last seventy five days or so.
Apparently he spread the news about her which ended in mixed reactions. It was anything from random people coming up to her to get her to help... to threats and mail bombs. At one point, she had gotten attacked and ended up in the hospital with a broken arm resulting from the assault. It was while she was in the hospital that she was approached by the ANTI-MUTANT ORGANIZATION again but this time, they had sent a professional recruiter who managed to get her to at least accept a business card.
It wasn't too long after that she called the number and spoke to the woman again and within a coupe of months of on and off discussions, Tanya ended up becoming one of the members of the ANTI-MUTANT ORGANIZATION as she was finally convinced that she was the cure for the disease called Mutants that those mutants that want to be able to live normal lives should be able to and those that didn't needed to be anyway as the ones who clung to their mutation were the ones who were out to try to harm someone in some way and be weapons against humanity. She discovered more about her abilities and the fact that they worked by touch when the ANTI-MUTANT ORGANIZATION had her experimenting with her abilities on different mutants that they managed to get a hold of.
The Look;
General Appearance: Although she inherited her red hair and green eyes from her father, her mother's side shows up the most when it comes to her skin tone. Her complexion is a medium tan, a light mocha almost. She has a birthmark on the underside of her right wrist; a pale almost white marking the size of a thumb print and shaped kind of like the Knight in a chess set which some people find amusing as Knight happens to be her last name as well. Her eyes are a really rich green that are easy to be captivated by, their color standing out rather nicely. Her hair is a darker red rather than an 'oh my gosh your head's on fire' red, a little bit of brownish red mixed in. Usually, she wears her hair back in a french braid which reaches to a little past mid-back, the bangs being cut to about mid-neck length. She usually has trouble keeping all of her hair back in the braid even if she wants it all back, some of the bang always seeming to fall loose.
Due to her active lifestyle, she's in pretty good shape. Not like a pro athlete or a cheerleader or anything like that but in good shape non the less. Her skin is usually pretty clear except for once a month when she'll get a bump or two that she quickly tries to cover up with some makeup or a small bandaid as she thinks that pimples of any kind are kind of gross to look at. Although she likes how her nails look when they're allowed to grow out some and are painted, she usually keeps them short as she only ends up breaking them some way or another. It is always the middle nail that breaks first!

Example: They had captured one of the more violent mutants that had been lurking in the city and now, the diseased man sat tied up in a chair in the holding cell that was beneath the FOH base of operations. He had to be beaten into submission to be dragged here, the bruises and busted lip showed that and Tanya had to force herself to keep a straight face. This man was a criminal. She had to remind herself of that as she walked forward once the signal for her to do so was given. He was a criminal against humanity as he continued to threaten it with his very existence and by using his mutation to harm the normal people...
"You don't have any drastic physical mutations so this shouldn't hurt much." Tanya stated calmly, hoping to sooth him even if she was taught to see their kind as the enemy.
The orange skinned man struggled to break free of the bonds that held him into the chair and tried to move away from her as she drew closer but he was tied in too tightly and had no chance of getting away.
"Do you see this syringe?" The redhead asked, holding up an empty syringe in front of him.
"I'm going to fill it with my blood... With the antidote for your disease... and then inject it into your body to cure you." She told him before wrapping a tourniquet around her arm and pushing the needle into her vein.
Sure, they could have used blood that had already been drawn but it seemed that it worked best with fresh blood right from her body. That it had longer lasting effects this way. This man was lucky; ever since she had started college, she hadn't been able to give fresh blood too often due to the risk of someone mistaking the punctures in her arms for her using drugs. It was usually only once every couple of months they could get fresh blood out of her as she had the excuse of being a blood donor.
"Try to sit still." She told the prisoner as she pulled the needle out of her arm.
A second after, the blood was being injected into the mutant man and she pulled away the empty syringe before tossing it in the trash and starting on her way out, undoing the tourniquet and pressing on the puncture in her arm with a cotton ball.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have Biology to go to in half an hour and I'll need to beat the noon traffic." She told the other FOH member that had been in the room observing.
With that, she left.
