Wann hear you say...Right here, waitingWords couldn't even describe how truly happy he was.
Her hand laid delicately inside his own. A smirk flew to his lips as he gave it a squeeze. His eyes left the road for a mere second, as his blue orbs starred lovingly over at her. "Hm," He hummed softly.
He was married.
Kyla was officially taken. No one could ever steal her away from him now. His hand brought her own to his lips as he kissed her knuckles, and then her wrist.
They'd been married for over two days now, and the honeymoon was no where near over. They still had a week of pure Australian bliss ahead of them. Music flowed from the rental cars' speakers as the car itself strolled through the dusty plains of the outback.
They were going no where, and everywhere, at the exact same time. "Where's this bar suppose to be anyway?" He asked, a soft laugh escaping as he leaned across her lap and opened the glove box. "Check the map, please baby?"

Every bad thing that had ever happened to Kyla could never take away from this moment. Tyler Balfour was finally all hers, and they were going to live a perfect life with one another and no one could ever take that away from them. They had only been married for two days, but it felt like an eternity... and it was the best two days of her life.
Tyler was everything to her, and she knew she meant the same to him. They were meant to be together even from the first day they met. It was fate. Relaxing in the passenger seat as they drove through the beautiful scenery of Austrailia, she shifted looking over to Tyler as her hand laid in his. He squeezed her hand gently and looked over to her, his blue eyes staring into her soul. "Hm," He hummed softly.
Her smile grew as she looked at him with the same adoring love in her eyes. She was sure there was no one out there more perfect for her than Tyler. They had been so much, and with each struggle they faced their love for one another grew stronger. It was a love that would never go away. No matter the day, the time, or the moment... Kyla Marie would always be in love with Tyler Balfour. No, Kyla Balfour will always be in love with Tyler Balfour. It had a nice ring to it.
A song played from the speakers, but Kyla was in a state of bliss keeping her from actually paying attention to the words. It was only the words coming from Tyler that shook her from her smiling state. She looked over at him grinning. "Where's this bar suppose to be anyway?" Men and their directions. She laughed. "I'm sure it's close by honey. We have been driving for a while it can't be far." She gave his hand a squeeze.
He leaned across her and opened the glove box. "Check the map, please baby?" Kyla nodded. She grabbed the map and began unfolding it holding it up so she could see where they were now on the map. After a good long look she placed her finger on their current location. "Alright so we are right here.... and the Blu Horizons bar in there.." She ran her finger along the road. "So we should reach it in about 3 miles on the right." She looked over and smiled. "I told ya we were close." She smiled and leaned over kissing him softly and quickly before pulling away. After all she didn't want to distract him from driving.

"I'm sure it's close by honey. We have been driving for a while it can't be far."
He nodded lightly as he watched her grab and open the map. Instinctively, he reached forward and turned the volume down so he could hear her better. But at the same time, his foot eased on the brake slightly, so he could look around for signs.
"Alright so we are right here.... and the Blu Horizons bar in there.. So we should reach it in about 3 miles on the right. I told ya we were close."
He chuckled as he eased off the brake and sped up a little, now that he knew where he was, and where he was going. As the quick kiss landed on his lips, it disappeared as quickly as it came. Raising a brow, he smirked. "Just be happy we're in a moving vehicle. Otherwise I might be inclined to 'jus' pull right on over into the outback and make love to ya'." His vice faultered as he tried on his best austrailian accent.
Laughing softly, he turned the wheel slightly as they made a right.
"Jesus," He mumbled as the bar popped up out of no where. Pulling over, he unbuckled his seatbelt and looked at his gorgeous wife. "I love you," He paused, as he caressed her face. "Kyla Marie Balfour."
As her name left his lips, those same lips landed gently ontop of hers. As he pulled away to open the door, he couldn't help but smile.
It was like nothing in the world could go wrong.

"Just be happy we're in a moving vehicle. Otherwise I might be inclined to 'jus' pull right on over into the outback and make love to ya'."
Kyla laughed at his accent and felt her face heat up as she began to blush. She cursed herself. You would think that after her wedding she would be less shy about the things her and Tyler did behind closed doors.... in the shower..... in the back of rental cars.... in the plane bathroom. But she never failed to blush everytime they talked about it. She laughed some more at herself.
"Be careful mate... I might take ya up on that offer." She replied in an equally horrible aussie accent. Her smile turned into a smirk as she laid a hand gently on his thigh. Life was so great. He made a right and as soon as he did the bar appeared. He parked the car and unbuckled, she watched him with a smile as she unbuckled her own seatbelt. "I love you," He paused, as he caressed her face. "Kyla Marie Balfour." She smiled softly and closed her eyes under his touch.
Opening her eyes just in time to see him coming to kiss her. Her lips met his graciously and it was as if nothing in this world could have ever sufficed them other than the touch of one another. After he pulled away he opened the door and before he could get out she giggled out of giddiness. It was crazy how he could still make her feel like a teenage girl all over again. He came around the car and opened her door and she got out straightening her dress. "I love you Tyler. Now let's get our drink on." She laughed. Sometimes she was a dork, but the best part of that was that she got to be a dork with him.
They held hands as they walked into the bar. The scene was dim lit, but beautifully decorated. They were led to the back balcony bar where they could sit at the bar and see the ocean from where they were. As soon as Kyla sat a bar stool she turned around facing the horizon above the ocean where the sun was beginning to set. Her breath caught and she reached for Tyler's hand. "Have you ever seen anything more beautiful?" She smiled and looked over at him.

"Be careful mate... I might take ya up on that offer."
The fact she still blushed, made him smile even brighter. She still held that innocence, and he loved it. As he rounded the car, he laughed at her reply, opening the door for her. "How about drinks, and then a nice walk on the beach at the hotel?" He grinned.
His hand reached out for hers as they walked into the small bar. It smelled like alcohol and jasmine. Candles light every table, giving the place a romantic glow. As they walked to the bar, he let her hand go as he walked straight to the bartender, giving him their order.
But it was her voice that called him back to her side again.
"Have you ever seen anything more beautiful?"
He smiled, walking up behind her. His arms wrapped around her, as his chin rested inbetween her shoulder and neck. He gently laid a kiss to the exposed skin on her neck before replying softly. "Yeah." He paused, smiling again as she looked at him strangely.
"You."

"How about drinks, and then a nice walk on the beach at the hotel?"
She grinned and nodded. "Sounds perfect. The bar was one of the prettiest she had ever been in. Normally, Kyla wasn't the one to go out for drinks, but it was their honeymoon and they deserved to live a little. And in Austrailia... well anything was possible.
As Tyler ordered drinks she kept her eyes on the sun set over the ocean she was sure she would remember this day forever. It was beautiful and her life was perfect. Nothing would ever take this from her she would remember it forever, and would tell their children all about it. Okay, maybe she would leave out the.... adult details of the trip.
After ordering the drinks, Tyler finally answered her question as he came up behind her wrapping his arms around her and kiss her neck. "Yeah." A chill ran down her spine and she looked up at him quizically as he smiled. "You." Her eyes began to form tears, but she willed them away. She didn't want to cry happy tears then she would look like a bigger dork. She turned in the stool and placed her hands on his face pulling him in for a long slow loving kiss. "I love you more than anything in this world Ty." She spoke softly just as the bartendar slid their drinks in front of them.
"Bottoms up, love."

He could see the tears form in her eyes, but before he could acknowledge them, she pressed her lips to his in a long loving kiss. One hand rested on her cheek, as the other laid silently on her back. "I love you more than anything in this world Ty." He smiled softly as the bartender slid them their drinks.
"I love you too," He whispered back in her ear as he grabbed the drinks and handed Kyla hers. "Bottoms up, love." He grinned, downing the shot.

The hours seemed to pass quickly as they both made new friends. First there was Tommy and Diane, who were on their anniversary. Four years to the day, and they looked like they were still madly in love. After those two left, they met Diego and Fiona, a newly married couple as well.
The four of them sat at a table for the last three hours, talking, laughing, and having a good time. Tyler looked at the clock and chuckled at the last joke that flew from Diego's mouth. "Well, I'd hate to cut the fun off here." He started, pausing a moment to down the rest of his beer. "But we should be heading back." He finished, as his arm laid around Kyla's shoulders.

Laughter filled the air around the bar a few hours had passed since they got here. They had met so many couples on vacation here. There was Tommy and Diane who couldn't keep their hands off of each other even though they had been married for four years now. Kyla hoped her and Tyler would be that way as the years passed. Then after those two left Diego and Fiona came along.
Diego and Fiona were newly weds as well. Diego was a funny guy who loved to joke about everything and Fiona was a beautiful woman who was as sweet as could be. Both of them were a joy to be around, but it was getting late and Kyla wanted to have Tyler to herself for a while.
Kyla took a sip of the margarita Fiona ordered before she opened her mouth to say goodbye, but Tyler read her mind and beat her to it. "Well, I'd hate to cut the fun off here." He started, pausing a moment to down the rest of his beer. "But we should be heading back." Kyla nodded feeling all bubbly inside. "Yeah sorry guys, but if I don't hurry and get my man to myself I might go crazy." She giggled and covered her mouth blushing a bit. It was plain to see she had enough to drink and needed to get back to the hotel before she embarrassed herself further.
They gave their goodbyes and promises to meet up again, and then Kyla took Tyler's hand and began the walk back to the car. "I wasn't kidding about getting you to myself.." She giggled. "You might want to make this car ride a little faster than usual." She let go of his hand and walked over to her door and opened it. She grinned from ear to ear winking at Tyler before she got in the car. Once you got a few drinks in Kyla there was no telling what she would say.

"Yeah sorry guys, but if I don't hurry and get my man to myself I might go crazy."
The table erupted in laughter as Kyla blushed. Tyler just grinned and pulled her close. They joked around for another five minutes before agreeing to meet up tomorrow for lunch. After saying their goodbyes, they walked out the door; hand in hand.
I wasn't kidding about getting you to myself.." She giggled. "You might want to make this car ride a little faster than usual."
He watched with a smirk as she winked and ran to get into the car. Like most moments like this, Tyler wanted to soak it in. So he stood there a moment, keys i his hands as he watched his beautiful wife buckle up. Apparently, he was taking too long.
Kyla rolled down her window and laughed softly. "Are you coming or what?" He grinned as he ran around the car and slid in. The moment he was in the car, his hands got to her waist, tickling and holding her down. When he thought she couldn't breathe, he released. "Okay." He chuckled, as he straightened up and roared the engine to life.
Silence consumed the car, but the radio still stuck out the Australian classics as they shot down the dust filled windy road back to the hotel.

She rolled down her window shaking her head laughing. "Are you coming or what?" That was enough to get him into the car. As soon as the door shut he reached for her waist and began tickling her. She giggled, laughed, and twitched in her seat until she could barely breathe. He pulled away a smile on his face. "Okay." He chuckled, as he straightened up and roared the engine to life.
Kyla smiled her sides hurting from laughing so much, but eventually as they started down the road she began to relax. Even though she didn't know the music on the radio it was still calming and made her smile. She leaned her head back and looked over at Tyler as he drove. His face was so serene and peaceful as he drove. For most people the silence was awkward, for Kyla and Tyler it was just that moment of being still together that meant the most to them.
She reached over and grabbed his hand squeezing it. A slow song, by some supposed famous austrailian singer came on. She was singing about love and Kyla felt her admiration for Tyler well up in her. "Ty, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." She paused and giggled a bit. "And that's not just the drinks talking..." She smiled at him.
The next few seconds that passed were silent as they turned down the back road that led to their hotel. It was dark out and Tyler turned on his brights in order to see the road. Kyla leaned down and kissed Tyler's hand, by the time she looked up it was too late. "TYLER!" She screamed as the golden figure lept from the side of the road and in front of their car. From what Kyla could see it was a dingo. Tyler jerked the wheel and the car spun out of control, flipping upside down on the other side of the road.
A few moments passed before Kyla opened her eyes. There was smoke all around her. She coughed inhaling it. She tried to wriggle free of the seat belt, but it was no use. She looked over to see Tyler in his seat eyes closed head bloody. She began to cry. She reached for Tyler shaking him. "Ty... get up." He didn't move. A bright light began to shine behind her. She turned to see a big truck coming down the road. She smiled. They were going to stop and help her and Tyler. She felt herself take a deep breath, everything was going to be okay. That's when she realized the truck wasn't stopping. She screamed as loud as she could. "TYLER!"
Then, everything went black.

"Ty, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." She paused and giggled a bit. "And that's not just the drinks talking..."
He smiled over at her, knowing she knew he felt the same. He'd do anything for her, and she knew that. But, that was love, wasn't it? Unselfish to the very end. A turn came up ahead, and he could feelt her lips on his knuckles.
His eyes left the road for only a second...
"TYLER!"
A quick flash of tan, and then everything tumbled and swirled into one as they flipped over two to three times before landing upside down on the other side of the road. Despite the fact he was unconcious, he could still hear what was going on.
He could hear his own heartbeat, and the sound of the wind blowing through the broken glass... and...
"Ty... get up."
He tried, he really gave it his all to move. But, nothing budged. He could feel pain, and he knew it was coming from his head... "TYLER!" The sound of a truck hitting it's breaks sounded before everything truly went black.
-*-*-
"Tyler..."
"H-h-huh?"
"Tyler, your at the hospital, you had an accident. Can you hear me?"
"W-wha?"
"Tyler, there was a car accident."
Finally, his eyes opened.
The first thing that hit him, was the bright light. As his eyes squinched in the light, he looked from nurse to nurse with a confused look. "Where am I?"
"Tyler, your at St. Margaret's Hospital... there was a--"
"Who am I?" He asked, cutting the woman off. The nurse shared a look around the room. One left quickly, walking to a room across the hall before emrging with a doctor.
"Hello, Tyler. I'm Dr. Mathews." He paused, shining a light in his eyes. Tyler flinched, and the doctor laid a hand on his shoulder. "You were in a car accident, do you remember that?" Tyler just shook his head softly. "There was a woman with you, Tyler. Your wife... Kyla..."
"My.... wife?"

A wave of nausea hit her as she opened her eyes. There was an oxygen mask over her face, and she struggled to keep her eyes open because of the light. A nurse stood next to her checking her levels and writing them down. When the woman realized she was awake she smiled down at her. "Well hello there. How are you feeling?" The nurse reached over and slipped the oxygen mask off of her face.
She coughed a bit before testing out her voice. "W-what happened?" Her voice was raspy and talking hurt so much her eyes began to water. The nurse's brow knitted in confusion. "Kyla I told you this morning what happened. You were in an accident last night." She looked at her confused. "Kyla?" She questioned. The nurse's eyes widened. "Yes that's your name dear. Kyla Marie Balfour."
Kyla felt a sob rise in her throat. "I-I don't remember." She shook her head and closed her eyes. "Why can't I remember?" She opened her eyes and they pleaded with the nurse to give her an explanation. "The accident was a bad one. You suffered a lot of head injuries, we... the doctor and I expected you to have some memory loss."
Shaking her head she felt tears run down her cheek. The nurse smiled. "Oh no dear don't cry. you see the brain is a fantastic organ. It can repair itself it just takes some time you will remember, but you have to relax in order to do that." The nurse seemed to think this was soothing. It only scared her more. What was she trying to remember? She knew her name, what else was she missing?
The nurse pressed a button on the side of the bed, and the bed began to raise up in a sitting position. Kyla winced a bit. "So how about a little trip sleepy head?" Kyla looked at her confusion on her face. "To where?" The nurse smiled. "To see Tyler Balfour. Your husband."
Kyla felt her breath catch. "Husband?" She shook her head. The nurse sighed. "He was in the accident with you, Kyla." The nurse was beginning to lose her peppiness. "Don't you want to see him?" Kyla shook her head closing her eyes. "I don't remember him. I don't remember anything." Now she was starting to get frustrated. "Just....Just leave me alone. This... isn't real." All she could do was keep her eyes closed and shake her head. It wasn't real. She would wake up anytime now and remember everything.

He wasn't sure when he fell asleep, he just knew it was morning.
The sun was shining through the opened curtains, it irritated him. Groaning softly, he turned his head away from the light only for the light above his bed to come on. A look of pure confusion crossed his face before a voice rang out.
"Mornin' Mr. Balfour."
"What?"
"It's beautiful out, isn't it?"
"I don't--who are you?" He asked, as he slowly sat up as the nurse brought in his breakfast tray. "Ow," He moaned softly, as his hand reached up to his head.
"Don't mess with the stitches, Tyler. We discussed this last night. Do you remember that?"
"Last night, but I--I don't remember..."
The nurse frowned softly as she put a straw in the glass of milk. "It takes time. Do you remember why your here in the hospital?"
Tyler's brows furrowed as a memory flooded his brain. It was quick, a flash of blonde curls, and then the sound of someone screaming. "N-no."
"You were in a bad accident." The nurse spoke softly as she sat down beside the bed in an open chair. "I tell you what, I'll have them bring by Kyla. It'll cheer you up."
The confusion on his face was clear, but the nurse just smiled sweetly at him before leaving him alone with his thoughts. His eyes fell to the food first, and he slowly took a piece of scrambled egg and ate it. "Kyla..."
Just saying that name...
It felt so... odd.
His eyes quickly scanned the room before finally falling on a pamphlet that laid on the stand beside his bed. Reaching out, he gently picked it up and read the cover. "Finding you; a guide to emerging from amnesia..." Sighing, his anger flared and he threw it across the room.
This is all a dream... just a bad dream...
