She was perfect. Beautiful, soft, smells like baby powder, good tempered (despite who her father was), and looked a lot like her mother. P.E.R.F.E.C.T. In every form of the word. Jude laid there in the bed, watching some cartoon, because there was clearly nothing else on. He had discussed it with Lena, and they agreed it would be easier if he was in the same room with her and Serena. Serena, his daughter. It was an odd thing, knowing he was now a father. A father to a beautiful healthy baby girl. He hadn't talked to Spyra in two days, she told him she'd be the one to call back. He wasn't pushing her, or Lena. No, if anything he was taking this day by day. There was still a few things he hadn't quite got right. Like diapers. Every time he tried, he kept telling Lena he was scared of hurting her. She was so tiny, she looked so fragile. He was good at some things though, feeding her, burping her, and putting her to sleep. She seemed to love falling asleep on his chest as he laid there in bed. Just like she was now. Hearing her make a soft whine, he place a hand over her back and patted it lightly as he turned the volume down on the tv. " Shhh, hush little baby, don't you cry. Daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird. And, if that mocking bird don't sing, daddy's gonna buy you a diamond ring. And, if that diamond ring don't shine, daddy's gonna buy you a valentine, and if that valentine don't.... something... Daddy forgot the words to this song..." He chuckled lightly, hearing something in the hall, his head turned to see Lena standing in the door frame. " Hey." He smiled softly. " Slightly feeling like a fool that I forgot the lyrics to that song..."

Lena was tired. Exhausted out of her mind, but she was also happy. Happy as a seventeen year old with a child could be. Her baby, her daughter, was the most perfect thing in her life. Serena...her little Serena. Some part of her was sad that she had to part with the small growing baby inside her stomach, but all of her was happy at the finished outcome of the beautiful child. Jude seemed to feel the same way. He was already so attached to their little one. He did everything. Fed her, burped her, and put her to sleep. At sometimes he changed her, but most of the time that was Lena's job becase he was so scared of hurting her that he couldn't do it. He was so good with her it was almost surprising. Surprising in a way that someone who was so into women physically could take careful of a small child so perfectly. She had snuck away to get some food. It being about dinner time anyways. Of course no one had cooked dinner downstairs. They were always going out to eat or fixing something small that no one ever bothered to cook a huge meal. So she cooked what seemed easy at the time. Chicken Alfredo. Baking the chicken in the oven while she cooked the noodles she felt herself yawn. That small child who was so perfect was also perfect at keeping her mommy and daddy awake at night. Everything was done within 30 minutes. She cut the chicken and placed it in the noodles stirring it then distrubuting all the contents evenly onto two plates. She grabbed two glasses and poured ice cold tea in them. Looking at the plates and glasses she sighed. There was no way she would be able to carry all of this up there. Just as she thought that a young girl about 12 ran past her. "Hey.." She scrambled her mind for a name. "Valerie!" The young girl stopped and looked back at Lena with a smle. "Oh hey Lena. How's the baby?" Lena smiled down at the girl. "She's great, Val. Can you help me with something sweetie?" Valerie nodded. "Help me carry these plates up to my room for me and Jude?" Valerie's eyes widened. "He sleeps in your room? Ainslie said we can't have boys in our room." Lena laughed. "Well that is true, don't let a boy into your room or you might end up like me." Val justed looked at her quizically. "Pretty with a cute baby?" Lena held her hand up to her face. "Something like that dear. So will you help me?" Val grabbed the plates and began trekking up the steps towards Lena's room. Lena followed with the glasses. Val stopped right before the door and let Lena go first, after all it was her room. She sat the drinks on the dresser right next to the doorway and grabbed the plates thanking Valerie softly as she heard Jude singing. "Shhh, hush little baby, don't you cry. Daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird. And, if that mocking bird don't sing, daddy's gonna buy you a diamond ring. And, if that diamond ring don't shine, daddy's gonna buy you a valentine, and if that valentine don't.... something... Daddy forgot the words to this song..." All she could do was stare at him in awe. When he finished she managed to let out a small chuckle with him right when he noticed she was in the doorway. "Hey." He smiled softly. "Slightly feeling like a fool that I forgot the lyrics to that song..." She shook her head softly a smile on her lip. "It's okay I'm sure I forgot the words too. I made us some dinner." She sat down a plate. "Do you want me to put her in her swing while we eat?

"It's okay I'm sure I forgot the words too. I made us some dinner." She sat down a plate. "Do you want me to put her in her swing while we eat?"
He smiled brightly, sitting up and moving her to rest in his arms. "Yeah." He grinned down at her. She looked so peaceful when she slept. As Lena took her, he walked over and grabbed the glasses, putting them on each of the end stands. Just as she got done buckling her up and turning on the swing, he stood there, both plates in his hands.
"Smells good." He smiled, nodding to the bed. "take a seat, and I'll give you your plate." He chuckled. As she got situated, he handed her the plate and walked around to the other side, sitting down and digging in.
Taking a bite, he dropped the fork instantly as his mouth opened wide. "Ho... ho... hoooooo."

"Yeah."
Lena grabbed Serena softly pressing her against her chest placing one hand behind her neck to steady her head. She walked over to the baby swing and slipped her in gently. Strapping her in she turned on the swing to slow. Just as she turned around she saw that Jude was standing on her side of the bed and had helped by bringing over their drinks and plates.
"Smells good." He smiled, nodding to the bed. "take a seat, and I'll give you your plate."
Smiling she walked over in front of him and sat down in the bed criss-cross. "Thank you. It took me a good thirty minutes to make this so I hope it is good." She sat back against the head board. She reached out her her plate. "Your the sweetest." She gave him a bright smile as he handed her, her plate.
He walked over to his side of the bed and sat down. He instantly dug in. She looked picked up her fork and blew on her first bite. "It's going to be a little h-" He dropped his fork and his mouth hung open wide. "Ho... ho... hoooooo." She burst into laughter. "Hot. She began chewing slowly, but the laughter was still coming. She covered her mouth with her hand as she continued to laugh. She swallowed before she opened her mouth to speak. "Sorry I guess I should have warned you before hand." Her laughter calmed to a small giggle.
Taking another bite she looked at the t.v. not really interested with what was on. She turned her head to him. "I just want to say...." She paused. "Thank you for helping out so much. I really appreciate it." Her eyes held the uptmost gratitude. He had helped her so much. Even the days afterward when she was in horrible pain.

His mouth was on fire.
Quickly, he reached for his iced tea and took a large gulp, instantly cooling everything inside his mouth. He smirked, "It is." He chuckled as she continued to laugh. " And hey, I try." He chuckled softly.
"Sorry I guess I should have warned you before hand."
"Yeah," He huffed out as his laughter slowly subsided. "That woulda been nice." He smiled over to her as he took another fork full. Learning from past mistakes, he blew on it before popping it into his mouth. Humming his approval, he nodded. "Real good."
"I just want to say...."
He looked over at her, a brow raised as he took another sip from his glass. "Yeah?" He replied softly as he put the glass back on the nightstand.
"Thank you for helping out so much. I really appreciate it."
He stared over at her, placing a hand over hers. "I'm here, Lee." He smiled softly. "I'll always be here. Y'know that right?" He asked softly. Like clockwork, Serena woke up and started to softly whine. Looking at the clock, he grabbed another bite of the chicken Alfredo. "Six, right on time for dinner." He chuckled softly.
Looking back to Lena, he smiled. "Since we're eating, you want me to give her, her binky?"

"Yeah," He huffed out as his laughter slowly subsided. "That woulda been nice." He smiled over to her as he took another fork full. Learning from past mistakes, he blew on it before popping it into his mouth. Humming his approval, he nodded. "Real good."
She gave him a sideways glance and a smirk. "Sorry must have slipped my mind." She giggled. Hearing his hum of approval she nodded softly. She grabbed her tea and took a sip. "Well I'm glad you like it."
Taking a few more bites before he replied preparing herself for whatever he said next. "I'm here, Lee." He smiled softly. "I'll always be here. Y'know that right?" Lena nodded. "Yeah, but you didn't have to be...but you are and I'm just saying thank you." She gave a small smile before Serena began to whine in the swing.
"Six, right on time for dinner." He chuckled softly.
She looked over at her baby setting her fork down on her plate deciding what to do. "Yeah atleast we know she will never be late for anything." She turned her head to smile at him before looking back to the little one. "Since we're eating, you want me to give her, her binky?" She looked at him pondering on what they should do.
"Ummm..." Just as she was aboutto tell him yes the whines turned into screams. With tears and everything. She shook her head. "No I better take this one." She stood up setting her plate on the end stand and walking over to the swing. "What's my baby girl doing?" She asked in baby talk squatting down in front of the swing. Turning it off she unbuckled Serena and picked her up. The baby girl still screaming her little head off.
Lena stood up cradling her in her arms bouncing softly. "Shh.. Si. It's okay mommy's going to feed you I promise." She went and sat on the edge of the bed on her side and and pulled out her breast guiding the small infants mouth to the nipple. Gradually those screams turned to whimpers and finally to silence. The tears stopped as she closed her eyes peacefully feeding. Moving slowly she slid back into her comfortable position leaning against the headboard.
"It seemed she wasn't going to let us eat without her." She smiled softly up at Jude. In some's eyes this would have been awkward, and it kind of was, but when your child needs to eat, she needs to eat. And well she wasn't going to let her scream her head off because she was supposed to eat at six, and Serena's little body had been used to eating at six for the past 3 weeks. "I'll finish my food later...It'll be okay. My new medicine makes me nauseous anyways..." She shrugged it off.

"Yeah, but you didn't have to be...but you are and I'm just saying thank you."
Didn't have to be? Silence quickly consumed them as he ate, thinking it over. She thanked him, yet said he didn't have to be there. Yet, she was grateful he was. Women, they were so confusing... Sucking on the inside of his cheek, he sighed. "Lee." He paused, but she quickly interrupted him.
"Ummm..."
Just then, Serena started wailing, tears streaming down her face. Jude's stomach churned, as he put down the fork. He ate everything but a few bites. But even now, that hunger just quickly diminished.
"No I better take this one."
He watched her walk over, talk to their daughter before sitting back down. Looking over at them both, he sighed. "Lee... I..." And again, he was cut off. "It seemed she wasn't going to let us eat without her." He smiled softly, nodding.
"I'll finish my food later...It'll be okay. My new medicine makes me nauseous anyways..."
"Want me to put it in the mini-fridge?" He asked softly, rubbing the back of his head. She nodded softly, and he reached over in front of her, grabbing it off the nightstand and getting up. Opening the mini-fridge at the bottom of the bed, he placed it inside. Standing there, he turned around, hands on his hips.
"You keep saying I don't have to be here." He finally spat out. "But here's the thing. I do have to be here, Lena. I do, okay? She's my daughter, I got you pregnant. It's my resposibility, so... Thank me all you want, but I, just..." Sighing heavily, he shrugged as he leaned over the foot-board of the bed and grabbed his plate. "I just wish you would stop saying I don't have to be here..." He whispered before walking out the room and down the stairs and placing his plate and fork in the dishwasher.
Running a hand over his face, he stood there a moment, before turning around. "Hey Jude!" Looking back, he saw Luke sitting at the table. "Hey, Luke." He replied softly, rubbing at his neck. They were both the same age, but one thing was different. Luke was a good guy, and hadn't gotten anyone pregnant. "How's Serena, and Lena doing?"
Jude shrugged, crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned against the kitchen counter. "They're good, Lena's feeding her now." He replied. "S'that why you're down here, sulking?" Jude smirked, shaking his head. "Nah, was bringing down my plate. That's all." He turned then, walking back up the stairs. "Later Luke,"
Luke chuckled softly, giving Jude a slight nod. "Right, later Jude." As he walked back in, he smiled softly at Lena before making his way to his side of the bed and laying down. Grabbing his iced tea, he took a long sip.
Was this awkward? Had he made this awkward? God, I hope not...

"Want me to put it in the mini-fridge?"
Lean nodded. "Yeah that would be great I know I will be craving it later. She gave him a small smile before looking back down at Serena making sure she wasn't falling asleep. She had read some horrible stories of babies falling asleep on there mother's breast and smothering themselves. She shuddered at the thought causing Serena to open her eyes briefly.
She looked up just in time to see Jude with his hands on his hips. Seeming a tad bit upset at her. She raised a brow as he began talking. You keep saying I don't have to be here." He finally spat out. "But here's the thing. I do have to be here, Lena. I do, okay? She's my daughter, I got you pregnant. It's my resposibility, so... Thank me all you want, but I, just..."
This surprised her. She didn't mean to piss him off, but it seemed she had. He grabbed his plate and manage to whisper his last thought to her. "I just wish you would stop saying I don't have to be here..." He walked out of the room leaving her staring after him her mouth hung wide open. She let out a sigh. The large rise and fall of her chest caused Serena to open her eyes. She whined a bit and Serena pulled her away from her breast.
"Aww is my baby girl all full.." She looked at her baby whose eyes were just barely open. She smiled reaching over to the end table grabbing the baby rag/towel. She wiped the remments of milk off her lips and sat up placing the rag on her shoulder. Then she lifted Serena to placed her hand on sideways on the rag. She patted softly repeatedly on her back until she burped atleast two times. She pulled her back holding her up in front of her face. "That's my good girl. Those were good ones baby girl."
It was around then that Jude came back into the room and laid down. He took a sip of his tea, a long sip then placed it back on the end table. She felt bad. Truthfully, so she lifted the small girl and laid her down on his chest. "This is her favorite place to be...she told me herself." She grinned and looked down at the two. She leaned down and kissed him on the cheek. "Jude I'm sorry I know I shouldn't have said that. You are her father and you always will be. I would expect anything less than you always being her for her...for us." She re-phrased at the end. "And whether or not we are together for the rest of our lives or if we are apart. We will both be apart of her her life. From now until we die."
The look she gave him then was one holding hope. Hope that he would always stay, and always been there for her and for Serena. She knew that he might not always be there in a husband and wife kind of way, but a father to her child kind of way he would be. And like he said he has to be here. And hopefully he wants to be here for his daughter...This wasn't what either of them planned, but Serena was beautiful and Lena didn't regret any of it.

Feeling a slight feel of heat on his chest, he looked down as Serena cooed. Smiling he place a hand on her butt, patting it gently. It always put her to sleep. His eyes met with Lena's, and a clear apology was sitting there for her.
"This is her favorite place to be...she told me herself."
He sighed softly, feeling her lips on his cheek. His free hand reached out, grabbing hers. "I'm sorry." But she started to talk then. "Jude I'm sorry I know I shouldn't have said that. You are her father and you always will be. I would expect anything less than you always being her for her...for us." He nodded. "I am, you know that. Not just for her, but for you too, Lee." He still loved her, despite how he knew she didn't think it was true.
"And whether or not we are together for the rest of our lives or if we are apart. We will both be apart of her her life. From now until we die."
Sitting up, he cradled Serena against his chest. Leaning forward, he kissed Lena gently. It was soft, gentle and short. Without a word, he laid back down, as Serena whined out in protest. "Sorry Si-Si." He chuckled softly. Looking back to Lena, he smiled gently.
"Till death do us part, we're parents Lee."

"I am, you know that. Not just for her, but for you too, Lee."
Lena closed her eyes her heart really believing the words he said. Opening her eyes she looked at him, her eyes holding sadness and happiness at the same time. "I know." He was so easy to be next to. Why did he have such an effect on her? If she had never been outside that one night. None of this would have happened. Her heart wouldn't have been this shattered and confused....
But she also wouldn't have the prettiest baby girl in the whole world. Just the thought of not having Serena made her sick. Just as she was finally relaxed against the headboard he sat up and kissed her gently. And of course just like that she kissed back. But just as quickly as it happened it ended.
"Sorry Si-Si." He chuckled softly. Looking back to Lena, he smiled gently. "Till death do us part, we're parents Lee."
Lena only shook her head a lopsided smile on her face. "Jude you are going to be the death of me..." She giggled softly before sitting up slowly. "It's hard to be scared and unprepared when you do things like that..." She paused as she looked down at her hands. "It feels so right even though being parents at this age is so...well not right." She looked back at him. "We are going to be judged for the rest of our lives and I feel like she will be too." She shook her head.

"I know."
He took in a deep breath, watching as Serena rose and fell. "I'm glad you know that. Be prepared to hear it for the rest of your life." He smirked over at her. "Jude you are going to be the death of me..." As she giggled, he chuckled softly. "And why's that?"
"It's hard to be scared and unprepared when you do things like that..."
He nodded, licking his lips. "Sorry." He whispered. What a predicament he'd gotten himself into. Falling in love with Spyra, being in love with Lena. He'd already broken Lena's heart, and now what? He had to tell Spyra they kissed? And then what? Break her heart too? He shook his head softly, he wasn't--couldn't do that. It was innocent enough, right?
"It feels so right even though being parents at this age is so...well not right."
He sighed softly, nodding. "I know what you mean." He spoke softly. "But hey, we're not the first kids to have a kid. Even if this isn't what we expected, I wouldn't have it any other way, Lee."
"We are going to be judged for the rest of our lives and I feel like she will be too."
He reached over, pulled her down next to him. "Hey," He said softly. "Anyone willing to judge us needs to learn how to mind their own business." He paused. "And I'll be the one to tell them that personally."

"I know what you mean." He spoke softly. "But hey, we're not the first kids to have a kid. Even if this isn't what we expected, I wouldn't have it any other way, Lee."
Lena nodded and really thought about what he was saying. He was right. They weren't the first kids to have a kid. "Same here. I couldn't have asked for a better child than the one we were given." She ran her ahnd up Serena's back softly. "So so beautiful and sweet. I will never love another being as much as I love her.
Looking down at the small baby she felt her heart warm. She was asleep and breathing evenly on his chest. There was no way that anyone could judge her just by the mistakes of her parents. Right? She shook the thought. Just as Jude began to speak.
"Hey," He said softly. "Anyone willing to judge us needs to learn how to mind their own business." He paused. "And I'll be the one to tell them that personally."
Her eyes began to tear up. As she laid her head on his chest next to the sleeping Serena. She looked up at him the tears falling down her face. "Jude..." She felt a lump in her throat grow. "I know you love Spyra...but..." She paused. "I love you too. And I always will." He heart sunk. "But not just because you are such a good man, but because you are a good father."

I will never love another being as much as I love her.He smiled. " We're lucky." He replied easily. " She's beautiful, sweet. ten fingers, ten toes. Perfectly healthy, looks a lot like her mother, and has somewhat of my temper." He grinned, chuckling lightly. "Jude..."His eyes were glued on their sleeping daughter, that was until he heard his name. Looking up, he noticed the tears. Reaching over, he wiped them away. " Yeah?" He whispered softly. "I know you love Spyra...but..."Here it was, he held his breath, waiting for the words. "I love you too. And I always will." He heart sunk. "But not just because you are such a good man, but because you are a good father."Brows furrowed, he wiped away her tears once more, as he smiled gently. " I do, love Spyra." He paused. " But I love you too, Lee." He sighed. " That's what makes this so hard. So heartbreaking. I never meant to hurt anyone. Not you, not Spyra, and I wasn't expecting to get hurt either, but I did. Just seeing you cry, my heart aches, Lee." He replied softly. " I'm sorry, I'm really sorry." He paused, " I once told Spyra that there's something she has, that you don't. Just like there's something that you have, that she doesn't. And both of you, you fit. Y'know?" He asked gently. " Like I said, I don't want to hurt you anymore than I did, but if... if I could, I'd stay. You know I would." " But you deserve more. Someone better." He paused. " Better than me."

As he spoke she could only listen. He always knew what to say. He could explain himself over and over, but she would always be lost. Lost without him...and yet she knew that eventually she was going to be without him. He was going to be gone at some point, and it was almost a matter of time.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry." He paused, "I once told Spyra that there's something she has, that you don't. Just like there's something that you have, that she doesn't. And both of you, you fit. Y'know?" He asked gently. "Like I said, I don't want to hurt you anymore than I did, but if... if I could, I'd stay. You know I would."
Lean nodded. She knew this. He had told her this more than a few times. It was the same thing everytime. He loved both of them. Both of them were unique to him. And he was hurting just as bad as they were. It was hard to believe, but it was true she could see it when she looked at him sometimes. The pain in his eyes.
"But you deserve more. Someone better." He paused. "Better than me."
She sighed and wiped her own tears this time. "Honestly, I don't believe I want someone better.. or anyone at all." She knew he was going to jump in, but she beat him to it. "I can't really see myself with anyone else. I don't think I want to go through this, having kids, with someone else. It wouldn't be the same. Being alone isn't so bad."

His mouth opened but she quickly jumped back in.
"I can't really see myself with anyone else. I don't think I want to go through this, having kids, with someone else. It wouldn't be the same. Being alone isn't so bad."
His brows furrowed lightly as he looked down at her. "Being alone... is lonely, Lena. I want you to love someone. I'm never going to stop loving you. I couldn't even if I tried, and I know you feel the same way about me." He paused. "But," He sighed, closing his eyes.
"I want more for you." He whispered. "I'm the bad guy here. I know both you and Spyra are hurting, and I know you both know just by looking at me that it's hurting me too." His voice strained with every word.
It was then, through closed eyes that a tear leaked out and ran down his cheek. "I'm sorry. I wish I could change this. I don't wish I never met either of you... I..." His voice gave in and he shook his head softly.

"Being alone... is lonely, Lena. I want you to love someone. I'm never going to stop loving you. I couldn't even if I tried, and I know you feel the same way about me." He paused. "But,"
What was so wrong with being alone? It was her choice. Why did she have to move on? Sure, he was going to move on, but she didn't have to. Why did everything have to be so difficult?
"I want more for you." He whispered. "I'm the bad guy here. I know both you and Spyra are hurting, and I know you both know just by looking at me that it's hurting me too."
"Just stop..." She shook her head. "You are not the only bad guy in this situation okay. We can all take the blame at some parts okay? You are not the only one causing pain. I've hurt you just as bad as you've hurt me okay?" He needed to stop putting himself down or he would never get over it. He would never forgive himself if he thought he was the only one to hurt someone.
She looked up at him then and saw the lonely tear that ran down his cheek. She wiped it before it fell to his care chest. "I'm sorry. I wish I could change this. I don't wish I never met either of you... I..." His voice gave in and he shook his head softly. She held a finger to his lips. "Jude it's okay."
"I understand that now. It's okay. You can't help who you fall in love with." Her heart ached, but she wore a smile. "But now instead of loving two women you love three." She added playfully. "Me, Spyra, and Serena." Her eyes landed on their sleeping child. But she manage to look back up at Jude one more time. "Really it's okay. I love you. Serena loves you. Your not a bad person. You just have a lot of love to give." She gave him the sweetest smile she could before laying her head back on his chest and closing her eyes.

"Just stop..." She shook her head. "You are not the only bad guy in this situation okay. We can all take the blame at some parts okay? You are not the only one causing pain. I've hurt you just as bad as you've hurt me okay?"
He nodded. "I know, okay." Sighing, he slowly sat up, holding Serena against his chest as he got up and walked over to the crib. Giving her a kiss on the forehead, he gently placed her inside, moving her musical lamb right beside her. "Sleep tight, sweetheart." He whispered.
"Jude it's okay."
Turning, he bent down to open the mini-fridge. "No, it's not." He replied as he pulled out an apple. "I understand that now. It's okay. You can't help who you fall in love with." He nodded. "I know that, but you're not suppose to fall inlove with two separate people."
"But now instead of loving two women you love three." She added playfully. "Me, Spyra, and Serena."
As he walked back to the bed, he looked back at his--their daughter as she slept on her belly. "Yeah." He whispered, taking a bite out of the apple. Sitting back on the bed, he leaned back down, smiling as Lena laid back down with him.
"Really it's okay. I love you. Serena loves you. Your not a bad person. You just have a lot of love to give."
Even if that was true, why did he feel so bad? Looking over at the clock on their dresser, only two hours had passed. Eight o'clock. Having a yawn escape, he wrapped his arm around Lena and closed his eyes as he took another bite out of the apple. "So what are you saying?" He spoke softly.
"That you're okay with this situation? Me and Spyra, you and Serena?" He continued, as he opened his eyes and looked down at her.

It was hard to go through this. Watching him feel this bad. He got up and laid Serena down in her bed giving her a kiss on the forehead and situating her just right in her crib. He whispered his sweet words into her ear, and Lena knew with that she would be asleep for a good 4 or 5 hours before waking up.
"No, it's not."
He was so stubborn. She only sighed and shook her head. Why did they have to do this? It had been good for this small amount of time that Lean forgot about all the bad. But she always had to say something to change that. "I know that, but you're not suppose to fall inlove with two separate people."
"Well I didn't know there was a rule book on love..." She let out sarcastically. He got aout an apple and came sulking back to the bed. He leaned back and she made her self comfotable laying back with him. It was hard to hold herself back from saying all that she wanted to say, but she just stuffed it to the back of her mind.
"So what are you saying?" She pondered this a moment. Opening her mouth to speak he spoke his mind quicker. "That you're okay with this situation? Me and Spyra, you and Serena?" She really thought about this. He stayed silent waiting for her reply. She sat up and looked him in the eye.
She would do anything to keep him, but that wasn't the case. "It's not my preferred situataion, but Jude. I'm happy right now. Spending time with you and Serena. And I'm sure about Spyra, but having to share you is better than not having you at all." Her eyes grew sad. "You do what you have to Jude...because no matter what me and Serena are always going to be here for you."

"Well I didn't know there was a rule book on love..."
He gave her a look, before quickly shaking his head as a slow smirk climbed onto his lips. "Wish there was." He told her as he chewed on a piece of apple in his mouth. "Would make things easier." He sighed, taking another bite.
"It's not my preferred situataion, but Jude. I'm happy right now. Spending time with you and Serena. And I'm sure about Spyra, but having to share you is better than not having you at all."
What she was saying was true. He couldn't imagine his life without Lena or Spyra in it. There was just no way, he'd for sure die of a broken heart. But, in the same sense, he couldn't have them both dangling there waiting for an answer. A solid 'yes I'm staying with Lena/Spyra' answer.
"You do what you have to Jude...because no matter what me and Serena are always going to be here for you."
His eyes met her, and he could tell she was being sincere. "What about polygamy?" He chuckled. "Is that legal here in new york?" Sure, he was joking, but only slightly. The other half wished the world would open up to that culture. So what if a man had more than one wife?
It was about love, wasn't it? Not selfishness. As he took another bite, he laid there in deep thought. He'd watched shows, old re-runs of Sister Wives and Big Love. It looked difficult, but doable... Right?
