After midnight. He told himself, yet Jamie was still out there taking care of closing the place up and cleaning. And what was Dominick doing? Paperwork. Fucking paperwork.Wipuing the sweat from his forehead, he wrote down a note to get a guy in here to fix the AC, cause Omni only knew how long he could take this heat, before he lost it. " Jamie?" He called, hearing the slight jingle of the beads covering the doorway to the back room. "Whatcha need?" She asked. " Can you bring me an ice water, please? Before I die of dehydration." She laughed softly, muttering a soft 'funny' as she went and did as he asked. A yawn escaped him, and he stretched his arms up and above his head. Jamie brought the water in, and he offered a soft thanks before going back to work. Thirty minutes later, he was out like a light.

Fuck. She couldn't fucking do this anymore. It was just last night but Shekinah couldn't handle this anymore. She needed help. She needed Dominick. Because all she knew was that she had been praying nonstop and questioning and asking for help and an explanation but nothing had come. Not a thing. And that made her faith falter but it didn't strengthen her affinity for Earth. No, that had been lost. That had been destroyed in that one night, last night. Because if something like that could happen why would anyone choose this place when there was another option. She just wanted to leave. She wished she could die so she didn't have to live with the constant shame, humiliation, violation that she felt every second now. Omni. Why had this happened to her? Putting a hand to her forehead, Shekinah held in a sob and clutched the cardigan closer to her body. It was boiling hot outside but her powers had been off ever since it had happened. Her aerokinesis was all botched up and was making the air around her body freezing cold. It was better still though; Shekinah didn't think she would be able to wear anything that didn't cover most of her. Shuffling on, she entered the Saints & Sinners bar. Finally. It was closed but that didn't matter. The one person she was looking for, that she needed, would be there. Not even able to acknowledge Jamie, Shekinah kept her head down and moved right for the back room, beads rustling slightly. Pausing just inside the doorway, she saw that Dominick was asleep at his desk. She took in a shaky breath... How was she supposed to tell him this? Licking her lips, she took a few steps forward, tears already starting because shit this was going to be so fucking hard, she stopped once she was only a foot or so from his desk. "Dommie?" she called, wings twitching uncomfortable. "Dominick..."

"Dommie?"
Blissfully unaware of Shekinah's presence, he murmured in his sleep. Making out a full sentence clearly not in english. "Dai, dobbiamo arrivare lì..." Italian? he was knee deep in a dream of when he was in Heaven and commanding a battle on earth.
"Dominick..."
Deep breath in, and out, he moaned softly. "Ingen sa att du skulle vara en hjälte." Was that swedish he was speaking now. Realizing it, and coming into some sort of reality, he slowly lifted his head and looked around.
Groggily, he rubbed at his eyes as he yawned and looked at the clock. Two in the morning? "Shekinah?" Brows furrowed as he looked at a blurred image of her standing there. Wait, was that tears? "What..." He stretched a bit, shaking his head a moment later to clarify things. "What's wrong?"

Her mind skipped like a record as he spoke sleepily. First in Italian, then in Swedish. He seemed to be reliving some battle in his dreams or something. He didn't seem to be in any sort of discomfort though so she didn't think it was a nightmare. None of that mattered though as a moment later he was awake. He was awake and asking her what was wrong.
Inhaling shakily, she shook her head. More tears came and she pressed her lips together, closing her eyes as well. Goddamn. Turning, she sat on the edge of his desk, shoulders slumping as she pressed a hand over her eyes. Blowing out a shuddery sigh, she said in a small voice, "Something happened. Something bad." Her back was to him but it was still impossible for her to say...to tell him what had happened, exactly.
"I... I was coming to see you. Last night. Just from the Lounge, a few blocks away." She paused to sniffle, rub her eyes. "And I got stopped... By some..." A pained sigh escaped her. "Some woman...demon or something, I don't know. She..." How could she explain this. Her insides hurt just thinking about it; saying it would be impossible. "She...touched me." Her voice broke as she said it.

"Something happened. Something bad."
Despite just waking up, those four simple and yet dangerous four words woke him up quicker than any coffee ever could. Swallowing hard, he watched as more tears formed. "What...?" He didn't want to poke and prod, but couldn't help but wonder. If she thought something was bad, then it had to be completely and utterly terrible.
"I... I was coming to see you. Last night. Just from the Lounge, a few blocks away."
He nodded, hand reaching out to bring her some kind of comfort. Rubbing her back gently, he watched as she turned her back to him. Kinah... please tell me. He thought silently to himself as he waited patiently.
"Some woman...demon or something, I don't know. She... She...touched me."
Any other person would have asked 'what do you mean, she touched you?', but not Dominick. He knew, just by looking at her. Without a second thought, he pulled her down off the desk and into his lap, his arms wrapping around her.
Tears formed in his eyes as he sat there, holding her and wishing he could fix it. But wishing, and knowing... were two different things. He could wish with all his might, but he knew there was no way of turning back time to fix it.
Silence. But he supposed that was a good thing at this point. He brushed the hair out of her face, leaving a kiss to her forehead. Ever so softly, he spoke up. "Did you recognize her? Has she ever been to the bar?"

Before she knew it, she was pulled down into Dominick's lap, his arms wrapped around her. She jumped at first, scared from the sudden touch. But it all settled away in a second, as soon as she realized that she was with Dominick; Dominick who would never hurt her, never do anything wrong by her. She burrowed her face against his chest, letting the sobs come fully now. Her back shook and her hands fisted his shirt.
She calmed after a few minutes, hiccupping on her last few cries. Wiping the tearstains from her cheeks, she shook her head in response to his questions. "No. She's never been at the bar. I didn't recognize her at all." But now she couldn't help but see that manic grin, those lustful eyes everywhere she looked, every time she closed her eyes. She hadn't slept at all last night from it.
And now that she was with Dominick... She thought it would be all better. She thought he could take it all away. And she did feel better, a little bit. Better now that she was in his arms, that he was around her, could protect her. But it was still there, lurking inside her. It still hurt. She whimpered softly and tucked her face against his neck.

She was reluctant at first, tense even when he first pulled her down and onto his lap. But just as soon as it came, it left. She knew she was safe in his arms. I should have been there... He told himself as she cried against his chest, her hands into fists and grabbing at his shirt. His eyes closed, arms tightening around her slightly.
"No. She's never been at the bar. I didn't recognize her at all."
Whoever she was, she could be thankful she hadn't walked into his place. Because the moment she did, she would be receiving a world of hurt, for hurting Shekinah. For doing this to her, an angel, his girl. Should have been there...
"I'm sorry..." He whispered tenderly into her ear. "I felt like I should have went looking for you, when you didn't show last night. It's just..." He stopped, shaking his head. The place was packed, and leaving Jamie behind to deal with that was cruel.
But still. I should have been there.

She shook her head as he apologized to her. "No, no, no," she whimpered to him softly, cheek pressed against the soft fabric of his tee shirt. "No. Not your fault." She shook her head, chewing her lower lip so much it bled. "S'not even her fault," she added on the swallows of a sob. "It's here."
And she had been so optimistic over this whole Earth thing. She was prepared to completely commit to Falling, to stay on Earth forever. To being with Dominick forever. But now she didn't know. She never wanted to leave Dom, of that she was positive. But last night... Last night had shattered whatever good feelings she had had about Earth. That would have never happened Above. She wouldn't have this hurt and pain and shame if she had just stayed where she belonged...
Confused and frustrated with it all, Shekinah let out something like a moan, burying her face further against his chest. She just didn't want this anymore. Didn't want any of this... She focused on calming her breathing and slowing her pulse. Soon her sniffling died down a bit, and her breathing was just slightly fractures. Fingers stroking against his collar gently in a gesture meant to soothe both herself and him, Shekinah opened her eyes and shrugged the last of her tears away.

"No. Not your fault." She shook her head, chewing her lower lip so much it bled. "S'not even her fault," she added on the swallows of a sob. "It's here."
He wasn't sure how to take that. It wasn't his fault, yes. But how was it not her fault when she had originally done this to her? It's here? He sighed, rubbing her back comfortingly as he pushed hair out of her face.
Silence persisted for awhile as he let her just cry. He'd been through something like this, almost every time an Angel fell. It was the hardest of hard times for anyone, even himself. Thinking back, he had no one to turn to. No one to guide him, suppose that's why he guides fallen's as much as he can. Unable to let them go through the suffering he went through all those years ago...
"What do you mean?" He asked softly a moment later, feeling her soft touches on his neck. "Shekinah... honey. Earth isn't perfect. It's a wondrous place for humans, a semi-safe haven for Fallens, and for demons, it's a playground. Undoubtedly, whoever she was, she was a demon." he explained as gently as he could.
"It doesn't mean it doesn't hurt any less." He whispered, wiping away some of her stray tears. Funny how he would tell her not to fall, not to give into Earth's pull. And here he was, saying Earth was better than Heaven, even despite what she went through.

She listened to what he was saying, knowing it was true. But the last line was especially true. It didn't make it hurt any less. Because it still hurt. It hurt a lot. She squeezed her eyes shut and shook her head softly. Pitching forward, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, holding tight. "I know," she admitted softly, somewhere behind his ear. "I know that. But..." She nuzzled up against his neck, hoping for any kind of affection.
Fuck. Her mind went back to it and she shuddered violently. Swallowing, she pressed closer to him. "Fuck," she muttered, barely audible. Fuck, she couldn't leave. She couldn't leave here. She loved it too much. But Above was tempting. Above she wouldn't feel this way. She wouldn't have this in her... But there was no Dominick above.
She pulled away from him a bit, hands resting at the back of his neck. Her eyes skipped over his face carefully, taking it in, taking him in. Falling back against him, she closed her eyes again, resting her chin on his shoulder. "I love you, Dom," she told him in a sigh.

"I know," she admitted softly, somewhere behind his ear. "I know that. But..."
She moved then, wrapping her arms around him. His arms encircled her, rubbing her back and wiping away tears and simply trying his best to comfort her. "But what?" He prodded softly.
She was nuzzling against him one minute, and shaking the next. "Fuck," His brows furrowed, as he moved her slightly so he could see her face. Taking her face into his hands, he leaned forward. Ever so slowly, and softly, he placed a kiss to her lips.
"I love you, Dom,"
He hugged her to him, smiling softly. "I love you too, Kinah." He whispered. "But..." He sighed, rubbing at her back again. "Maybe it'd do some good to go up there." He paused, head tilting a bit to the sky. "Just for awhile. To heal, to... maybe try and understand?"

She shook her head as he questioned what came after her "but." She had nothing; no words at least. All she knew was what she felt. And that told her that she knew all the Earth was and could be. She knew there was both good and bad, existing in an everlasting balance. Wherever there was bad, there was the flip-side good to even it all out. And though she knew all that, something was clouding her ability of believing in it. The good was suddenly swept from her sight as if she had on blinders. Only the bad.
The gentle kiss was all she needed from him. She kissed back but it soon got incensed, caught fire. She deepened the kiss eagerly, like she had something to lose without it. Her hands pressed to the sides of his face, she held him close.
When she finally broke away, it was only the kiss. His embrace, she kept, arms locked around him and her face tilted over the back of one shoulder. "I love you too, Kinah. But..." No, no, no. No, "but." Please no "but." Shee couldn't handle a "but" tacked on to that statement. Because in this case it was bound to be something horrible. "I love you but you're damaged now." No... "Maybe it'd do some good to go up there. Just for awhile. To heal, to... maybe try and understand?"
"But I don't want to leave you!" she admitted immediately. That was the only thing keeping her here for now. Him. Him and Jadon and Ashling and Brianna and all her other Earth-bound friends. But mostly him. Frowning, she cuddled closer to him even. "I don't want to leave you," she repeated softly.

For as long as he's been a angel, he's wanted telepathy as a power, or empathy. Anything, really, that would tell him what she was thinking, or feeling. Because the silence was killing him. Was she contemplating what he said?
"But I don't want to leave you!"
His heart jumped at that. "I know..." He whispered into her ear. "I know you don't." His hands rubbed at her back. Silence again. A soft sigh escaped him as she pressed herself to him again.
"I don't want to leave you,"
He had to move her. "Hey.." He said softly, grabbing her arms and unwinding them from his neck. Once she was looking at his eyes, and not the back of his chair, he smiled softly. "I'm not going anywhere." He smiled lightly, touching her nose. "Not anytime soon." He paused. "And... I think it'd be good for you."

Her breathing jumped as he rubbed her back gently. She hiccupped softly from the disruption and even tried to fight a bit when Dom pulled her away from him. It was only a brief resistence though, and she settled down quickly, listening to what she said.
It would be good for her. She swallowed, thinking that over. Good for her. Talking to Omni might help, actually. And seeing Castiel, too. Sighing, she nodded resignedly. Her eyes locked on his a moment before dropping down. Twisting her fingers together in her lap, she chewed on the inside of her cheek. "Promise?" she asked of him softly, at statement that he wasn't going anywhere.
Maybe she would even tell Omni. Admit to considering Falling. See what Omni had to say. She had a feeling she knew already. Shekinah was kind of important when it came to the Heavens; she had a feeling Omni wouldn't want to lose her. But... A sigh. Shekinah just didn't know. This time Above would have to be used to think everything over and figure it all out.

"Promise?"
Her voice was so soft and gentle, he wasn't sure for a moment if she had said anything at all. "Cross my heart." He smiled weakly. "I'm not going anywhere." He carressed her cheek gently.
"I can... fly with you." He paused. "Only to the gates, of course. I mean, I still have my wings." His case was different than others. He didn't exactly fall, and he supposed he was lucky for that. Lucky to still have his wings. Lucky to still have a lot of things.
He brushed her hair out of her face again, a soft smile lingering on his lips. "Would that help?"

She nodded fervently at his offer, swallowing. "Yes, please." Actually, it was probably a bad idea. It would be harder for her to let go of him the more time she spent with him. But she didn't particularly care about that at that moment. She just wanted to keep with him as long as possible. Wanted to keep her touch on her, his breath against her, his voice in her ear.
She shifted then, stretching her limbs out a bit and rising. She kept one hand in his though, not at all ready to break contact. "That would help," she repeated softly, confirming. Her wings flinched and twitch and she grimaced. "Can you fly me instead?" she asked. Like the first night she had gotten drunk... She didn't know that she would be able to concentrate on flight at the moment. And beside, any excuse to be held close and safe by Dominick was a worthshile one to Shekinah.
Her fingers flexed through his, tips stroking the skin of his hand. Ducking her head, she let her blond curls fall over her shoulder, in front of her face and looked at him up through her lashes. She was already antsy at being away from him. And all she had done was get up from his lap. Licking her lips, she took the barest step forward, closer to him. Omni, she was a mess. Hopefully this night Above would be as beneficial to her as Dominick thought.

"Yes, please."
He nodded slowly. "That would help," She was up now, but still making contact with him. Her hand in his, he brought it to his lips and laid a kiss on her knuckles. "Okay then." He whispered. Pleased that she was taking his offer.
"Can you fly me instead?"
He smiled, watching as her hair into her face. Reaching up, he tucked her curls behind her ear. "Course I will." He replied in hushes tones. A moment of silence, as he stared at her. "How could I ever tell you no?"
Sighing, with a stretch, he took to his feet. "Do you wish to go now?"

She exhaled softly, eyes closing as Dominick pushed her hair back. He assured her that he would take her up and Shekinah let out a little breath of relief. Oh, good. She wouldn't be able to fly on her own really. "How could I ever tell you no?" She smiled lightly, snuffing out a laugh. "You tell me 'no' all the time," she joked in a quiet voice. He didn't, though. Whatever she needed, wanted he let her have, got for her. And if he didn't think it was right, he would just explain that to her before letting her have the final decision. Omni, he was too good for her.
He rose then, asking if she was ready to go. Rubbing the tip of her nose in a stall, she sighed a little. Guess she had to. Better now than never. "Yeah," she said faintly. "But first..." Chewing on her lower lip, she moved closer to him. Rocking onto her tiptoes, she pressed her lips to his, hands twisting together behind her back. She kept the kiss short and sweet, pulling away from him after only a few moments. Taking a second to breathe, she stepped back from him.
"Okay," she murmured. "I'm ready." Moving back to him, she pressed close to his chest and wrapped her arms tight around his waist. Eyes closed, Shekinah rested her face on his inner-shoulder, waiting for take-off.
