She reeved the engine of her bright red Camaro. She reeved its powerful engine and pulled into the long drive way of Biella, home for freaks. Freaks like herself. A safe haven for mutants that rivaled the other schools. Leahlin herself used to be at one of the schools; Rosewood. She gripped the steering wheel tight and closed her eyes, she could not think about that not now, not ever. Not until she got to Colette. Every mutant knew that name, or if they did not they soon found out. Mother hen to all mutants, at least that's how Leahlin saw her until now.
People turned to stare at her car. Lustful eyes and hated eyes, the reason she chose her camaro is all the problems that came along with it, she was good with cars, and how sleek and shiny it was. Definently a head turner. This was a present to herself, a get out of hiding gift. It was a year now that her mother had died. Leahlin paused as she grabbed her purse; hands shaking and electricity crackled around her fingers, no Leahlin killed her own mother. She couldn't help but thinking: 'Am I ready for this? What if Colette, leader of the mutants, sees me for what I am, the daughter of an X - mutant leader? Almost as bad as Phoenix herself?'
Uncontrolled electicity shot from her fingers and the car alarm when off. "Sonnova fuckin' bitch!" she snarled and hit the alarm button to her car to turn it off. It was just her luck lately. She opened the door to find other students just staring at her. "The HELL are all you staring at?" she snarled.
Lightning crackled dangerously around her as she peered at the students. Some were backing away, other's eager to fight this new threat and take her pretty car. Leahlin would usually enjoy a fight but she had other things to deal with. She turned and walked gracefully to the door. She rang the bell and someone let her in.
Leahlin knew where to go, she wanted a private meeting with the Professor of the house. The office was located up the stairs and to the right. Got directions from someone over the phone:
"Hi, this is a prospective student I need to make an appointment to see Colette? Is she available?"
"Sorry she is not, but you can come to the house. Walkin's are welcome, try not to be in during the lunch hours, and her office is located up the stairs and it's the first door to your right. Can't miss it. We look forward to meeting with you! [/b]" That ended the conversation. Here she was climbing up the stairs while her stomach sank lower and lower. How to even begin this conversation? Leahlin was almost a spitting image of her mother AND with the cat out of the bag about who she was, she took her mothers last name again. Pradveshi, to Leahlin it always sounded like a sushi dish, now it was a curse. Secretly she was glad she was female and who ever decided to marry she could take their last names. She reached the door. It was beautiful, of course something Leahlin would have in her own house. A deep breath and the brave girl knocked on the door awaiting to be let in, and awaiting to face her fate. Whatever Colette decided she would face. Maybe Leahlin would be killed? That would be harsh; but her reputation as a spy would probably make it justifiable. Though she believed the worst Colette would do is kick her out and eventually Leahlin would be controlled by her powers and it would consumer her and whatever city she was in. All of her electricity and shape shifting powers she could lose herself in one of her feline forms, probably the tigress, and all of the electricity would leave in one big bomb. She was dangerous she needed to practice her skills. She needed this house, even if she'd deny it outloud, she needed someone who would listen to her. [/blockquote]

Laura was playing with the twins as she typed out her weekly report for the teachers and other professors. Of course Elliott wasn't here yet, which made her close down Dolce Veleno for a few days; which made Biella exceedingly crowded. She could hear Laura laughing, and the faint sound of Parker whining. " Laur." She said softly, and just like that it stopped. " He was making this funny face, mom." Laura explained as Colette's eyes glued to the screen. " That's nice." Hearing a knock on the door, she stopped a moment, head turning before looking back at Laura. " Baby, can you open that?" Laura nodded before sliding off the bed and opening the door. " Mom..." Hearing Laura call for her, she turned around in the computer chair and looked as Leahlin stood in the door frame. A moment of silence passed before she spoke up again. " Laura, why don't you take your brother and sister into your room." Without another word, Laura went over and picked up Parker and started to head out. " Come on in, have a seat. Just give me a minute, Leahlin." She explained as she walked over and picked up Eliza and took her into Laura's room. Laura gave her a look, but Colette simply smiled, bopping her on the nose. " No worries, okay?" Laura nodded softly as she set Parker down on the bed. " Here, take your sister. If they get hungry, there should be some already made bottles in the fridge. You know how to heat them up and test them. Cause your just that great of a big sister." She grinned, leaning forward to place a kiss to her forehead. Walking back to her own room and office, she closed the door behind her and took her seat back at the desk. Typing in a few things into the computer, she brought up Leahlin's old file from when she lived in Rosewood before she really dived head first into a conversation with her. " So." She sighed. " Excuse the attire, single mom. Barely have time to tie my shoes, let alone get dressed."

The door opened to reveal a little girl. Colette was a mother. How could she forget? Her throat closed up at the sweet exchange of motherly love that her own mother showed her. It was confusing, how could Brenn become so cold and evil? It was heart wrenching emotions that Leahlin used to never feel. Instead of showing them she stuffed up the feelings and did as told. Took a seat right in front of the computer desk. The truth, her truth would come out soon. Her mother's evils and her own sin. Leahlin swallowed and sucked in a deep breath before slowly letting it out.
Colette returned and spoke before Leahlin lost her nerve. "So." She sighed. "Excuse the attire, single mom. Barely have time to tie my shoes, let alone get dressed."
"No worries, happens to the best of us," Leahlin said. Of course she, herself was dressed in a white jacket, slim black tank top, blue jeans, and black boots. Her hair was brushed into silkly black waves. No matter what the occasion as her white collar background suggested you always had to look good, no matter how ugly or terrible you felt on the inside. Today was no exception.
The computer clicked and beeped. She wondered what would be in there. Would her last name still show up as Storm or would the truth be there. How many lies did her mother even put into her own file? Leahlin bit back the questions and awaited for the computer to start the conversation of the past. Leahlin felt the tightness in her chest. If she was going to explain her situation, tears would be envolved she knew it. She felt it. Even now sitting there she could feel tears build behind her eyes, and the seconds felt like hours. Yet she wouldn't cave to her emotions just yet, not yet, just a few more seconds; wait until the accusations start.

An itch seemed to spread over her as she sat there, starring at the screen. Scratching her shoulder she shook her head. "It might be a error, but it says you have both Electricity generation, and electrokinesis?" She turned her head, looking over at her.
"No worries, happens to the best of us,"
She smiled, laughing slightly. "Isn't that the truth." She grabbed the glass of tea to her right and took a sip as she quickly read through her file. "No new powers, or anything?" Colette asked gently. "Another thing that's sort of bugging me is there's no list of reason why you left Rosewood to begin with." She stated gingerly.
"Of course, you honestly don't need a reason to leave. But we like to know why your leaving and why, after all these years, are you coming back?" She turned her chair, leaning back in it as she looked at Leahlin. Her brows furrowed, and she slowly leaned forward. "Talk to me, Leahlin. I can't help if you don't talk to me."
Hearing a commotion in the hall, she rolled her chair to the door and pulled it open. "Hey! Dylan, Cedric, Liam. Calm it down. You want to rough house, take it outside."

All the questions she knew would come but she was left wondering what to say when Colette poked her head out to yell at some kids. Hard to believe that there were kids this young at the school. She could only think that the parents were lazy or deserve to jump off a bridge for abandoning their children. She knew there were other reasons for the kids being here. Maybe she should start looking on the other side of the box. Leahlin just felt a headache and then a lightbulb blew over her head. She jumped up, "Sonnva!" she almost finished with bitch but turned it around, "biSICUT eating bulldog."
"The electric generation was actually aquired at Rosewood. Ti-" she dropped the name, "the old professor there and I were working on that. Supposedly it's rare that I can manipulate lightning from the sky and produce the same electricity from me. Something like that anyways."
She brushed the glass off her jacket into the trash bin. Slowly taking every piece off though knowing that she should explain her reason from leaving no beating around the bush she'd have to explain it. Though how to start. Then an idea came to her.
"Does the last name on my old file say it's Storm?" she paused in her picking off the glass then sat down and looked at Colette. 'Does she not recognize me?' Leahlin thought. Maybe the professor didn't. Though she would soon with the mention of her last name. Pradveshi is not very common. Only one company has the name of that. Also Leahlin was almost a spitting image of her mother. A few differences but they were close.
Leahlin though closed her eyes knowing that once Colette confirmed her last name as Storm she'd have to let Colette know her real last name.

Hearing the shattering of the lightbulb over head, she jumped slightly as well. "Sonnva!" she almost finished with bitch but turned it around, "Biscuit eating bulldog." Colette smirked, brows furrowed at how Leahlin worded that. She shook her head, chuckling. "It's okay. Kinda use to things blowing up around here..." Her eyes wandered to the ceiling, looking at the place the bulb had shattered.
She listened as Leahlin explained about the powers. Nodding she left it at that. They had lost alot of professors in the past. Tim, Vera, Gwen, the list went on. She had gotten use to it, she had to.
"Does the last name on my old file say it's Storm?"
Colette turned in her chair, checking. It did indeed say Storm. "is that--" She was cut off by one of Leahlin's thoughts; 'Does she not recognize me?' She swallowed, and nodded. "I do remember you, Leahlin. But, it's been so long... And yes, it does say Storm."
She leaned forward again, brows slightly perked. "I feel like there's something you need to tell me." She commented softly. "Please, by all means. My ears are open, and so is my heart. Tell me."

"That's not my last name," Leahlin nearly whispered and shook her head. "It's Pradveshi."
So long ago she would have even denied that last name. To protect herself, to hide in this world so full of evil. Some people always forgot that demons were angels too. Just they chose to follow Lucifer into hell. She never forgot that demons were angels too. She may be chosing the side of the light but there was, and will always be a darkness within her. A dislike of her own kind. For the injustice that she was served only in mourning her mother. Leahlin wondered if Colette could see her memories? Not that she knew. The main powers of the powerful mutant in front of her were elemental manipulation and telepathy. Everything else was a mystery to Leahlin. Though all of Leahlin's powers dispite her super human speed and fast healing.
Leahlin dared to peek at her professor knowing that it was long ago. Did the hate of both sides grow and grow until even past events were unforgivable? In a weak voice, something that was not of Leahlin's character she spoke again this time her bright blue eyes were looking at Colette, "I don't know what you heard of that night Rosewood took a big hit, but my mother was a leader of the X-mutants. Her company supplied them with many weapons and funded them. I-I didn't know. That night was crazy the students faught and some died. For some reason everytime I went to fight my opponent would back away. Almost scared to fight me. I wondered if it was because I was a tigress that night or what.
Then I saw her, Colette, my own mother. The one who honest to God, loved me. She did. That's where I never understood." tears were falling from Leahlin's eyes now but her voice never waivered and she never looked away. Just a blink and and another warm tear fell. She wanted to sob but this part of her story had to be out of her. Leahlin had been carring it for way too long.
"I never understood why? Why? Then I saw her kill Tim. That's where I came out and attacked. I'll never forget the look on my mother's face. Colette, it was horrid. I had to, I had to," this time she did sob buring her face into her hands. She wanted to stop now, hoping that Colette would just understand. Instead the next words flowed out of her, "I had to kill my own mother."
Leahlin lost it, she was openly sobbing now. That was the most important part of her history. It wasn't the end of her past though. "I was left with a large scar, "she lifted shakily her shirt to reveal a large puckered scar that ran from her naval, she turned, and to her spine. Wrapping around her "She tried to cut me in half. I developed some sort of super healing, and electricuted her. I only meant to knock her out, but another part of me wanted her dead. I wanted all her evil to die. She was sick, I knew it because she enjoyed killing all those people. She loved it. It was my mom, I held her as she died. I did.
They, the other students and teachers they thought I helped plan the attack. They thought - they thought, that I was the one who spied on them. Maybe I did with all the letters I wrote to my mom just explaining my everyday life. I don't know. All I know is that they blamed me, and thought I killed Dr. Tim. I didn't. I didn't! But they used me craddling my mother's body, that's all they saw. I gained another ability, I ran so fast that I don't think any of them saw me leave. They couldn't even keep up with me. . . . I've been hiding ever since."
By she finnished she felt nothing but drained, drained and yet her tears fell. She was only 17 and yet like most mutants had learned to become an adult over night. Harsh reality is what they were all taught and she herself learned that biggest lesson.

"That's not my last name," Leahlin nearly whispered and shook her head. "It's Pradveshi."
A flash of memories went before her eyes as she looked at Leahlin. As soon as the name registered, she grew abnormally quiet. "I don't know what you heard of that night Rosewood took a big hit, but my mother was a leader of the X-mutants. Her company supplied them with many weapons and funded them. I-I didn't know." No, of course she didn't know. She refrained as much as she could not to suck in her lips and bite them. But, she couldn't do it. Sucking them in, she chewed on them, listening as Leahlin went on.
"Then I saw her, Colette, my own mother. The one who honest to God, loved me. She did. That's where I never understood. I never understood why? Why? Then I saw her kill Tim. That's where I came out and attacked. I'll never forget the look on my mother's face. Colette, it was horrid. I had to, I had to, I had to kill my own mother."
She like she couldn't move, couldn't breathe. But the moment Leahlin started to actually sob, she rolled her chair up towards her, placing a hand on her knee. "Of course..." She started out in a shaky whispered tone. "Of course she loved you..." Brows furrowed, she watched as Leahlin showed her, her scar.
"All I know is that they blamed me, and thought I killed Dr. Tim. I didn't. I didn't! But they used me craddling my mother's body, that's all they saw."
She nodded slowly, eyes closing and a hand slowly moving to her forehead. As Leahlin finished, all Colette could really do was sigh. Did she blame her? No. "Leah..." She paused, taking in a deep breath. "You did nothing wrong." She stated softly, her head shaking slowly. "You did what you had to do. That was the first of many attacks on these schools. Yes, a lot of people died, but they knew what they were dying for. For a greater cause... and to have to kill your mother... I can't imagine..." Wiping away a stray tear, she slowly pulled Leahlin into a soft hug.
"You shouldn't have to hide.."

A gentle touch. A hug. Leahlin relaxed into Colette's embrace. For once in her life she just sobbed on the shoulder offered. Colette had no idea how insane her life had been up until now. Yet Colette didn't know what she had done just by forgiving Leahlin. There were people in this school who wold hate Leahlin for being who and what she was. There were teachers who she would get on their nerves on purpose. Though Colette, Leahlin dared anyone who tried to harm her. She would listen to this professor just like she listened to Dr. Tim. A minute passed and finally her sobs ceased and she pulled back from her new professor. She sighed, "You don't know how long, I've longed to hear words like that."
She sniffed and looked around on the desk for a tissue to blow her nose and blot her eyes. She knew her make up had to be running down her face. In fact she just picked up her D&G bag up and grabbed a mirror to look at her face. She almost grimmaced. She looked like a raccoon. Though she smiled a bit. She felt much better. Who knew just a few tears and someone just being there for her would make her feel this good? Leahlin decided to stuff all that inside and looked at Colette again before the professor decided to speak again. "If you decided to let me into your school, I'm not promising to be on my best behavior. Kinda not in my blood to be a good girl. Though I'm not evil like she was. I'm on the team of good and I need to get these powers in control. Like during a lightning storm I need to be in a rubber room or out in the storm so the lightning can come to me. It likes to do that."
She then smiled a bright smile that seemed to change her whole face. A smile that none of the others in this may ever get to see. But she went to fixing her make up and wiping her tears off, while listening to what Colette had to say about her stay here and if she was going to get an escort to the lightning or whatever they called it here room.

Being this close to someone, hugging them, had it's consequences in Colette's mind. Her walls were down, and anything that Leahlin was thinking, she was absorbing. Her hands rubbed at Leahlin's back, trying to comfort her as much as possible as all these thoughts passed through.
"You don't know how long, I've longed to hear words like that."
She smiled softly, wanting to say something, yet know there was more Leahlin wanted to say. Seeing her make-up messed up, Colette looked around before finally seeing the tissues. Grabbing box, she offered it to her with a smile.
A soft laugh escaped as she nodded. "I think we can do that." She offered softly. "And, how could I turn away someone who needs help? That's not in my nature, Leahlin. I opened these doors to help, sure, some have left in body bags. But the success stories outweigh that." She leaned forward, placing her palm to Leahlin's cheek. "You'll be a success too. Just gotta have faith, huh?"
"Now." She sighed, taking to her feet. "How about we get you settled in your new room, hmm?"

So full of hope, Colette was. Funny how you can see how good someone was, Leahlin would never be that sweet but she would be a bit brighter and louder from now on. Her demons have been faced, and though she knew that they haven't been conqured but they have been pushed to the back of her mind. For now. Her make up wiped off her face to the best of her ability she nodded to Colette.
"Yes I'd like to see how electrifing this room is," she smirked.
Biella was beautiful, not as flashy and grand as Rosewood was, but it was great in it's own way. She wondered how all of the students fit in the mansion. Guess she'd have to get used to people being at a close proximity. Anyways if anyone got on her nerves she'd just electricut them. Or roundhouse kick them into the wall. She was good at kickboxing and wasn't afraid to show off those skills. She glanced at Colette and wondered if someone was going to show her to the room or if Colette would show her to the room herself.
The fun part of this all was she was feeling better and she felt like she could finally continue her training and get her skills up in tip top shape. Though a small thought entered her head as she turned to look at Colette curiousity laced her eyes, "question, where can I park my Ladybug? It's my car."
She loved her car and it needed to be some place where others won't be tempted to scratch it or where it was exposed to the elements. She had a car cover for it and had no problem putting it on and off.

"Yes I'd like to see how electrifing this room is,"
Colette smiled, laughing softly as she opened the door. Laura's room was right across from hers, and it seemed Laura had been eaves dropping, because the moment she saw Colette, she quickly closed the door. Lips pursed, Colette sighed. Laura would have to get use to this, and Colette had an idea to help get her started.
"question, where can I park my Ladybug? It's my car."
Good question. "There's a garage that I've rented out a few blocks down. Other times you might be able to park it in the driveway, or even out back." She told her easily. "Excuse me one moment..." She said as she walked across the hall and dissappeared into laura's room.
A minute later the two emerged, a smile on Colette's face. "Laura's going to show you the ropes, is that okay?"

"Awesome I'll take a place in the garage," Leahlin smirked. She could feel a little of herself coming back to replace all of the burdens she was carrying on her shoulders. She was no longer feeling that burden and she had that emotionally drained feeling after one has cried their eyes out. She came what she had to do and now she was here ready to start over. Bring on the training and she could use a good gym. She wanted to become the kick butt girl she once was again. Taking all and leaving no prisoners.
Leahlin followed Colette and nodded as she asked her to wait a moment and disappeared into her daughters room. A moment later the eldest girl of Colette's came out with her mother. Leahlin might be a hardass but she had a tiny soft spot for cute kids. "Laura's going to show you the ropes, is that okay?"
"Sure? If she knows where the garage is we'll take a spin in Ladybug and park it there and head on back, I'm a good driver I promise. I'll only show off peeling out of here," she sent Colette a wink letting her know that Laura would be safe with her.
She turned to Laura and looked at her, "My names Leahlin, you are? It'll be so much fun you'll bug your mom when you get older to have a suped up car. It might JUST be a camaro, but it's got a LOT of additives. I can kick a 'vette's tail."
She winked again. Maybe she'll let it spill that she had stock raced it and won a few rounds. She was quite proud of her red camaro. Though she would do that later after her and Laura got back. "If you want to, 'show me the ropes' as your mom stated, lead the way."

Laura watched as her mom nodded, spouting out a thank you before chasing the boys down the stairs to get a snack for them. Sighing, Laura rolled her eyes slightly, but unnoticeable to Leahlin, before looking to her.
"My names Leahlin, you are? It'll be so much fun you'll bug your mom when you get older--"
Scratching at the back of her head, she just starred at Leahlin as if she had two heads. She wasn't sure how Leahlin would react if she told her what she really thought. Last thing she needed was someone attacking her, and then her mom grounding her. "That's nice. It's Laura." She murmured.
"If you want to, 'show me the ropes' as your mom stated, lead the way."
Laura locked eyes with her a moment before moving to walk down the stairs. "Leahlin from Rosewood?" She threw back at her, voice soft but holding a tint of heat. It wasn't like she had a problem with having a murder's daughter near her room. No, that didn't bug her at all. It was the way Leahlin was talking to her that rubbed her the wrong way.
She was twelve, not two. Opening the door, she caught sight of the car, smiling lightly. "it is is." She nodded, walking to the passenger side and sliding it. She waited as Leahlin got in and started the car before speaking up. "You don't have to talk to me like I'm a kid." Her eyes were still towards the house, but slowly, she looked to Leahlin. "Trust me, I've dealt with too much to be considered a kid."
Leaning back and arm hanging out the window, her fingers tapped on the side of the car. "It's right down the street, take a left on this corner up here."

Electricity crawled up her skin. Laura had heard, that was the only way to explain the ice held in this girls voice. Leahlin knew that tone she had one just like it. And instantly she didn't care how old the little brat was.
"That's right, Leahlin from Rosewood, you ever wonder why they teach us to control our powers?" she asked the girl in seemingly conversational tones. They were very light and friendly, as they walked down the stairs to her car, then the next part dropped low and held the same soft heat Laura's did, "is so we can all defend ourselves from the pieces of shit that run these streets. Better to learn your friends from your enemies because one day someone you trust might fuck up your world, and leave you behind to wonder what happened."
As their eyes locked Leahlin's flashed tigress blue, her power animal, as she liked to call it. She had control of her shifting, that was a mastered skill. Just the electrical part was her problem. As they walked outside some of the kids were taking picure of her 'Ladybug,' which was a dammed beautiful car. All she needed now was to put her drag radials on it and show them just how beautiful her car could be. When she raced it, it had a deadly beauty running down the strip. She did grin as Laura seemed to hold approval of it.
"You don't have to talk to me like I'm a kid." Her eyes were still towards the house, but slowly, she looked to Leahlin. "Trust me, I've dealt with too much to be considered a kid."
Leahlin cracked the car and the engine roared to life. Leahlin reeved the engine for all the boys that had gathered to see this red beast come to life before them. It roared angrily and the way it shook the inside of the car, people knew that the car had torque and horse power to blow them all away. Smirking for a minuted then she turned to Laura who was strumming her fingers on the outside of the car. Leahlin could feel the finger prints leaving scratches on the side of her baby. The car still had the knew car smell and there was no sight of dust or dirt to be found.
"Squirt," Leahlin spoke in soft and deadly tones, the nickname suited the kid though and that appeased the growing anger in the pit of her stomach, "you aren't grown either. And where did you hear me talk to you as a kid? I mean I can, if you'd like? Just like you need to get your hand inside of the car and don't scratch my fire torch red paint job I just had. There's only one thing in this life that I love and you should feel special because you're sitting in it. I have close to $20,000 invested in this vechicle, and that's almost as much as it cost."
Psychology 1101, always ask the questions to make the person think. If Laura thought Leahlin was talking to her like a child then she must think that everyone talks to her like a child. There was an anger in this girl, an anger that Leahlin once held in her heart at that age. She was a bit more wild though, beating up the neighborhood kids before her parents decided she needed to be in kick boxing to appease that anger. I didn't help, much. Was fun though. That was something she needed around here. A gym and she was going to punch and kick and spar with anyone who wanted to take her on.
Before the girl could answer Leahlin, in a breath taking force of power spun out in first gear. Her engine roared happily that it wasn't just sitting their any longer and in a gut twisting move she roared down the drive way. They took that left too, Leahlin down shifted and right when she took that curve she pulled up the E-break in a beautiful drift that had the car completely sideways taking the turn. When they caught traction again Leahlin pushed down the E-break and they were off at the required speed limit. The time it took for Leahlin to get to the next street was maybe 2 minutes, "as you were saying."
She grinned off the adrenaline rush she just had. GOD she loved her car.

"Better to learn your friends from your enemies because one day someone you trust might fuck up your world, and leave you behind to wonder what happened."
Laura's mind played those words over and over, and as much as tears wanted to spring up out of no where, she swallowed it down. Sitting in the car, she let out a deep sigh, her eyes closing as Leahlin went on.
"Squirt, You aren't grown either. And where did you hear me talk to you as a kid? I mean I can, if you'd like? Arm slowly pulling back inside the car, head turned the opposite way, she shook it slowly. "Odds are I can outrun your car..." She muttered. "I don't see how it's so special.." She said a bit louder. "And you did talk to me like a kid when we were upstairs. Telling my mom you'll take care of me as if I was a four year old. I'm not a kid!" She started raising her voice.
"And your right!" She threw back, tears welling up in her eyes. "Someone I trusted did leave me, and makes me wonder daily why I didn't die with him!" Even as the car pulled into the car garage, Laura popped the door open and took off down the street using her super speed.
Of course, the way her tears were falling, she didn't get far. Stumbling, she finally fell head first into the sidewalk. Sitting up, she closed her eyes tightly, taking in a deep breath as more tears flowed from her eyes.

"Idiot," Leahlin voice cracked like a whip. She was there just as fast as Laura. Not quick enough to catch the girl before she fell but just quick enough to get there before she darted off again. Leahlin had to park her Ladybug and lock it before she was able to follow at her own break neck speed. She could run almost as fast a nas powered vechicle. Almost. Seeing the girl crying on the ground made Leahlin want to curl her lip for rage burned and spread through her like a deadly fire. Her heart thundered and and Leahlin wanted to electricut something within the nearest radius from her.
"In this time and place, I've see student mutants walk to the end of the driveway alone and not come back. Maybe we are in a time of peace. But don't you feel it?" just as Leahlin crouched down to speak, an omnious wind blew, pushing the dark raven waves of her forward. She looked like a cat about to pounce on her prey, of course while she was a predator, she had other ways of cutting down an individual. "That this is just a calm before the storm?"
It was a given that they were never going to be in peace unless someone upstairs decided to close off the gates of hell. There was never going to be a time of peace when prejudice was in the hearts of men and women mutants and non mutants alike. Hate flowed both ways. One group might have started it, but the other gets the backlash, and sometimes that's ten times worse. The girl was a child for if she thought that she go anywhere and do anything without a back up or hiding what she was. Sitting there and talking to her, Leahlin felt the rage burn down. That was a good sign.
"Look, I'm sorry you feel as if you should have died. If you didn't there was a reason for it. There's a reason for everything in this world. If you didn't have a purpose for being here you wouldn't and won't be out of this world until that purpose is served. Trying to bite my head off isn't going to help you nor make you feel any better." She sighed and stood up. The kid had guts usually when confronted with her people learned to shut the hell up and sit back. She wondered if the sobbing kid would take her hand or not. Leahlin wasn't the touchy feely kind of person, so she gave the girl some space and would allow her to come to Leahlin.

"In this time and place, I've see student mutants walk to the end of the driveway alone and not come back. Maybe we are in a time of peace. But don't you feel it? That this is just a calm before the storm?"
It's been this way too long. Something had to stop. It was a vicious cycle of having agood moments, a war, and then good moments. Peaceful moments, moments where... Laura shook her head, stopping herself before she continued on with that train of thought. "How could you not."
"Look, I'm sorry you feel as if you should have died. If you didn't there was a reason for it. There's a reason for everything in this world. If you didn't have a purpose for being here you wouldn't and won't be out of this world until that purpose is served. Trying to bite my head off isn't going to help you nor make you feel any better."
Without a hesitation, Laura's head flew up to glare into Leahlin's eyes. "Are you saying my dad was suppose to die? Don't give me that bullshit." She paused, feeling something bubbling inside of her. "Yes, I cussed. You don't know me. I might look weak, Leahlin. But I've seen and been to places no one else would go." She pushed herself up off the ground, wiping her hands off on her shorts. "I know his death is my fault. I know I put alot of strain on my parents for what I've done. But I've paid my due." She whispered, slowly turning back.
"I think I just might take my run now." She sighed out, shoulders slumping as her hands rested on her hips.
