SomedayIt was quiet. Usually she loved it, but this quiet held something over her head, something it knew, and she knew, and no one else. She sunk lower in the bed, flicking through channels.
Natalie, Eliza, and Parker were at the park, having fun she could imagine. But she decided to stay back, and boy was that a mistake. The silence, it spoke volumes.
Her head turned, looking at her cell as it sat on the nightstand. She could try, but would know she'd never reach him. And if she did, she wouldn't confess over the phone. She would have to do it face to face, he deserved that.
But then fear, it had it's own way of keeping her quiet. She loved Charles, she did. She didn't want to break his heart. And if she told him, she knew nothing would ever be the same.
She let out a slight moan, throwing the blankets over her head. Maybe she could just sleep the day away?

Before she had even realized it five and a half months had gone by. Laura hadn't seen her family since she left. And she was tired. She was tired in the sense that she hadn't gotten enough sleep, but more so because life for her was nothing more then fixing, feeding, helping, rescuing, feeding, and sleeping. That... and in the last raid before the demons disapeared once more... five of her ATers had died. Annie, Stew, Shiloh, Nick... and Patrick. Patrick was her boyfriend of two weeks. They had been friends since the begining of the five months. Laura slowly rolled on the sidewalk. She fished a peice of paper out of her pocket and read the words and address once again. The paper was already cloth-like. She had looked at it so much... What am I going to say to her? Laura thought. Laura spotted the hotel and hurried to it. Colette would be on the fourth floor.. but she didn't know what room. Laura sighed heavily... Guess im going to have to ask the receptionist. Laura rolled in the revolving door slowly then zoomed over to the desk. The receptionist looked up suprised. "May I help you?" she asked. The receptionist clearly looked at her pait stained outfit with disgust. "Yeah, I need Colette Fox's room number.""I'm sorry I can't give out that kind of information." Laura felt peeved. "Just because I look like i've been through a war doesn't mean i'm a bad person, lady. I'm Colette's daughter and I want her room number." The woman was taken aback and abruptly looked into her computer. "She's in room 4D..." Laura thanked her then rolled over to the elevator. "HEY YOU CAN'T RIDE THOSE IN HERE!" The lady yelled accross the lobby. Laura waved a hand over her shoulder and stepped into the elevator. Laura looked at the door. Butterflies flapped around in her stomach.. Stop being so nervous. Laura told herself. She knocked quietly. Open the door, Please. Laura telepathed.

She sighed heavily, placing the remote beside her. TV held no entertainment. Rolling onto her side, she curled up into a ball, wishing.. wishing alot of things. A soft knock sounded at the door, and she contemplated ignoring it.
'Open the door, Please.'
Laura? Her brows furrowed as she tossed the blankets off and walked to the door, opening it up slowly, she caught a glimpse of her daughter. Without any words, she engulfed her in a hug, holding her tight and close as she ran a hand through her hair.
"Laura? What..?" She shook her head, not able to fathom what was just happening. "Are you okay? You look okay.." She looked her over and smiled gently, bringing her into another hug. "I missed you. Your dad missed you too."

Almost the second that the door was opened, Laura was in her mother's arms. It felt so good to be hugged again. Laura couldn't help but hug her back. It wasn't Colette's fault that she had run away, Laura just wished that Colette could understand.
"Laura? What..? Are you okay? You look okay... I missed you. Your dad missed you too." Colette spoke so fast, Laura didn't have time to answer any of the questions. Laura laughed.
"Yeah.. I'm okay, and I missed you guys too. Laura broke from the hug and walked past Colette in to the room and sat heavily down on the bed, pulling off her ATs as she did so. Laura pulled out a perfume bottle from her pocket and spritzed some on her feet and into her ATs.
After that Laura lie her head back on the bed.
"How is everyone, mom?" Mom... it felt really weird saying it again. Laura looked over. "Shut the door please?" She asked. When colette did, Laura reached into one of her jacket pockets and brought out her sleeping ferret, Patrick. Patrick opened one eye groggily then yawned, streched, and scampered around Laura's arm and down her body to the edge of the bed.
"Where are the kidlets?" Laura asked realizing there weren't any other sounds from two babies.

"Yeah.. I'm okay, and I missed you guys too."
She smiled softly, closing the door behind her as she sat on the bed, clearly making the temporary room her semi-home. Colette walked over, taking a seat beside her on the bed. A small ferret scampered around on Laura before going to the bed. "New pet? Very cute." She smiled, pushing some of Laura's hair back.
"How is everyone, mom?"
Colette sighed, plopping back on the bed beside Laura. "Everyone's good." Her head turned, looking over at her daughter. Rolling to her side, she held up her head by her hand. "I'm not mad." She said softly.
"Where are the kidlets?"
"With Natalie at the park. You remember Natalie don't you? She's my cousin. Though you haven't seen her since you were around two." She chuckled easily. "I'm glad you're okay. I worried, but that's just me, huh?" She gave a nod, silent for a long time.
"Laura.." Should she tell her that Charles had a heart attack when she left? Or that she had an affair? No, definetly not on the affair. And, if she did say anything about Charles, she wanted it to be good. But there was none.. "You're dad is off at work again." She gave a nod.
