[[Open for those applying for singing jobs.]] Got Music?Feel ThisShe had time. Free time to herself before everyone started showing up. She smiled, turning to look back at the mic and the lone spotlight on the stage. Her boots clicked on the hardwood floor as she crossed the room towards it, touching the mic softly as she took that last step up onto the stage.
"Feel this. Can you feel this? My heart beating out of my chest." She sang, closing her eyes and laying a hand over her heart.
"It's gotta be just right. Soul and spirit, chord and lyric.." Hearing a noise, her eyes snapped open. "Hello." She said softly, laughing gently. "You here for the auditions?"

Essence wandered into the pub feeling incredibly pregnant. She was actually not as enormous as other women might have been at her stage. She was small in stature to begin with anyway. But she was wearing maternity clothing. And that was just... Ugh. She was nineteen. She should not own maternity clothing. But then her little cub would kick or turn over or hiccup or something. And her entire being would light up and well, how could she care about baggy clothing or big stomachs when she had something so amazing inside of her? The door swished closed behind her and Essence was glad it didn't make much noise. There was a woman at the microphone on stage. She was singing and damn if it wasn't one of the most beautiful sounds Essence had ever heard. Like coming home and touching heaven all at the same time. Bradbury nudged at her feet, sniffing around the new surrounding while Essence just stood and enjoyed the soft melody, eyes slipping closed a little. Then her silly fox nudged a chair too hard and it shrieked across the floor. Essence winced at the harsh sound, especially after such a pretty voice, and opened her eyes. She sent an exasperated look to Bradbury who just blinked up at her. "Hello. You here for the auditions?"Turning, Essence smiled to the woman. "Oh, no. I'm sorry. I just..." She chuckled softly. "You've got a really beautiful voice there. I mean, seriously; sounds like angels singing." She smiled a gentle smile and tipped her head to the side a little. Essence would know too; perfect pitch and all. Anything out of tune gave her a headache or sometimes a toothache. And that had been the farthest thing from out of tune since she had heard Ryder sing. Of course, in her mind, nothing came close to her boy singing. But this woman came as close as possible. And that was saying something. [[on the real: hot damn that was a beautiful song! Ash's PB has got an amazing voice; nearly made both me and boyfriend cry.]]

"Oh, no. I'm sorry. I just..." She chuckled softly. "You've got a really beautiful voice there. I mean, seriously; sounds like angels singing."
Ash grinned, laughing softly as she put the mic back in it's stand and hopped down from the stage. "Thanks." She said with a bright smile. "Don't be sorry." She told her, waving a hand, moving across the room towards the girl.
Finally approaching her, she extended a hand. "Hi, I'm Ash." She smiled. "And, you are here for auditions, aren't you?" She felt something odd at her feet, brows furrowed, her head tilted down to see a fox.
A soft laugh escaped her as she crouched down low, holding out a hand to the fox. "Hi there, beautiful." Something told her she was going to like this person, despite her bringing a fox into her pub.
[[Yes, I know xD Bethany Joy Galeotti, that's Ash's PB. She does have an amazing voice, and I adore this song so effin much! PS: sorry if this kinda sucks. Cat is driving me nuts meowing in the background.. can't concentrate. =/]]

"Hi, I'm Ash." She smiled. "And, you are here for auditions, aren't you?"
Essence smiled wide and took the offered hand, shaking it softly. "Nice to meet you, Ash. I'm Essence; nice to meet you. This your place, then?" she asked, gesturing around them at the bar. Chuckling softly, she shrugged. "Well, I wasn't aware of the auditions, no. But since I'm here, why not?" Essence didn't get to sing enough. She did it for fun around the house, sure. But never for an audience other than Ryder, Bradbury or the cub. "I'm guessing you're looking for an act for the pub?" she asked, eyes bright with the prospect.
"Hi there, beautiful."
Essence laughed a little, shaking her head. "That's Bradbury. He's a bit of a diva though, aren't you?" The fox stuck his nose up at his owner, informing her that he was in no way a diva just that he demanded the respect he so rightfully deserved. As Essence laughed at Bradbury's response, the fox cuddled up to Ash, eyes closing in contentment.

"Nice to meet you, Ash. I'm Essence; nice to meet you. This your place, then?"
Ash smiled, nodding as she laughed. "Nice to meet you too, Essence, beautiful name. Good to know that I'm not the only person with an odd name around here." She grinned. "Oh, Ash stands for Ashling." She pointed out with a slight nod. "Yup, proud owner, that's me." She chuckled.
"Well, I wasn't aware of the auditions, no. But since I'm here, why not? I'm guessing you're looking for an act for the pub?"
She smiled softly, nodding. "Exactly. Nothing to lose, only gain." She laughed. "Yes, actually more than one. I have one signed up right now. Apparently he's looking to get his name out there. He was good too, and cute." She smiled. "Yeah, I'm doing it weekly, so every-night someone different can sing. And, if the crowd loves you, I'll book you more often."
"That's Bradbury. He's a bit of a diva though, aren't you?"
Her hand stroked the fox as he leaned into her, eyes closed; content. She smiled. "I love animals." She said softly, rubbing a hand down him once more before taking to her full stature.
"So.." She paused, smiling. "You ready to get up there for me?" She asked, gesturing to the stage.[/b]"

"Nice to meet you too, Essence, beautiful name. Good to know that I'm not the only person with an odd name around here." She grinned. "Oh, Ash stands for Ashling.""Well thanks," Essence said with a laugh and an easy grin. "Unique names are the best," she agreed, smile turning to a bit of a smirk. "Never met another Essence and I doubt I ever will, you know?" She liked that. She was the only one of her in the world. "Exactly. Nothing to lose, only gain.""Totally," Essence enthused, laying a hand to her stomach. The little thing inside her was reacting to her excitement with its own excitement and was kicking up a storm. "Chill, cub," she murmured to it with a grin. "Yes, actually more than one. I have one signed up right now. Apparently he's looking to get his name out there. He was good too, and cute." She smiled. "Yeah, I'm doing it weekly, so every-night someone different can sing. And, if the crowd loves you, I'll book you more often.""Sounds awesome," Essence replied, still smiling. At the mention of the other act, she lifted an eyebrow. "Oh? Cute is good." She chuckled a little. "Get his name out there, huh? Well, good luck to him." She didn't want that so much. She loved music and everything, lots of course, but she wasn't looking to break into the industry, not really. She was content to fill in the background vocals for a few of Ryder's tracks. She wasn't too big on getting the spotlight on her. "I love animals."Essence watched her fox arch into the woman's touch, smiling. "You're preaching to the choir," she hummed in an amused voice. "So.." She paused, smiling. "You ready to get up there for me?" She asked, gesturing to the stage."Essence chuckled softly and nodded. "Sure." Moving onto the platform, she closed her eyes and thought of a song to sing. "I got some troubles but they won't last," she started, eyes still closed softly. "I'm gonna lay right down here in the grass. And pretty soon all my troubles will pass," she drew out the last word, smile growing as she came to her favorite part of the song. "'Cause I'm in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo....Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town." Her body swayed a bit as she sang out a capella, loving the feel of the music coming from her.

She laughed, nodding. "I know exactly what you mean." She smiled. "Totally. Chill, cub," She perked a brow, looking to Essence's stomach. "How far along are you?" She asked. "I would reach out and touch your belly, but I know some women hate that so." She laughed softly.
"Sure."
Ash took a seat, facing the stage and watched as Essence went up. "Anything that comes to mind, and whenever you want to start." She told her gently. It didn't take long however, before she began singing. Ash smiled, nodding her head. "You have a great voice." She pointed out.
"Only question is, which do you prefer. Singing, or bar-tending?"

"How far along are you?" She asked. "I would reach out and touch your belly, but I know some women hate that so."
Essence laughed easily. "Go for it," she said, spreading her hands away from her stomach. "I am a little past six months," she said, grinning. "Not too much longer till she's here." A grin found her face as peered down at her stomach.
"You have a great voice."
"Thanks," Essence said with a giggle, carefully crouching and sitting on the edge of the stage. "I've got perfect pitch actually so it kinda comes with the territory." Grinning a little lop-sided, she added, "If you think I'm good, you should hear my boyfriend. He might be interested in this, actually."
"Only question is, which do you prefer. Singing, or bar-tending?"
Essence laughed, shaking her head. "Singing, definitely." Containing a chuckle, she added, "Believe it or not, I'm under-age."
