Shekinah liked mini-skirts. She had only recently been introduced to them but she liked them. A lot. Loved them, really. They were fun and soft and flowy and damn if she was an angel, she had legs. And she liked showing them off. Especially with this skirt and those boots... She chuckled a little at that. She was being silly; human. She liked it. Walking through the heated New York City night, she came upon the Saints & Sinners bar with a wide grin on her face. Pushing the door open, she found the night in full swing already. There was a lingering tension though, since everything had gone down. The Divine Beings couldn't just be together like they used to. Shekinah smiled, laughing a little as she made her way to the bar. They had lost a few angels. A few too many. But so had the demons. Glancing around, Shekinah grinned and waved to the familiar faces. Finally pushing through the slight crowd, she got to the bar. Dominick was working and she just took a seat, smirking and waiting for him to realize she was there. He wasn't expecting her but she liked to surprise him. Her shoulders dropped, relaxed, she exhaled indulgently. The balance was back; Shekinah was happy.

Talk about busy. Between serving the usual clan, now humans and mutants were coming in. Making this place, more crowded than... well, he didn't know. But it was packed, and with all these bodies in one place... the heat was rising. He took the towel off his shoulder, normally used to wipe the counter off, was now being used to wipe the sweat off. Jamie was fast at work, and Cain had even come in tonight to help out. " Fuck it to hell." He muttered, taking the hem of his shirt and swiftly taking it off, showing a more than nasty scar on his abdomen. Yes, he could heal. But, he couldn't heal scars. And this, was a reminder of that. He wiped at his face once more before throwing the towel back on his shoulder as he went around, grabbing empty soldiers off the counter and throwing them away. Leaning against the back of the bar, he took in a deep breath and sighed, closing his eyes. What time was it? He didn't know, but he was past due for a break. Slowly, his eyes opened, a smile came to his face. " Well, well. If it isn't Sheki herself." He grinned.

A dazed look came to Shekinah's face as she watched Dominick remove his shirt. Mmm... She had snapped out of that thought quick enough though, catching herself. Bad behavior for an angel. Her eyes lowered from his chest then but halted at the scar on his abdomen. Ohhh, it really was wicked...
She ran an absent hand over side of her ribs. She had a scar too, just as bad from where a mace had ripped through her. At least, she thought that's what had happened. She couldn't really remember. Didn't try to. She didn't like to remember that battle, the fighting, the death, the blood... A slight shudder took her shoulders but she pushed it off easily.
"Well, well. If it isn't Sheki herself."
Turning, she passed a bright smile to Dominick, eyes shining. "Well, I do like to grace you with my presence every once in awhile," she chuckled softly but then her smile faded a bit. Reaching a hand toward the scar, she stopped just short of his skin and asked in a low voice. "It doesn't still hurt, does it?" Hers did, sometimes. When she stretched or flew or thought about the fight...

"Well, I do like to grace you with my presence every once in awhile,"
He grinned, "Well that's.. lovely." He chuckled softly, shaking his head at himself. He watched her then, her hand reaching out to touch his scar. "It doesn't still hurt, does it?" He sighed softly. "Sometimes." He said softly.
"But most of the time, no." In fact, he couldn't even remember what caused it, or when he had gotten it. Might have been when he was an angel, or when he was a human. He wasn't sure, and didn't care to find out.

She nodded in response to him, eyes still trained on the mark. His could have been from...anything. From any number of battles or even... Even from his time in Hell. Her nose wrinkled unconsciously at that thought. Hers was more recent, but his was probably more lasting... Her hand connected then, touched the scar. She let her fingers graze over the skin there a moment before dropping to the counter.
Blinking deliberately, she shook her head a little and looked up. Fixing her face into a grin, she rocked forward, bringing her face closer to his. "Hi," she stated softly. "I think we missed the actual 'hello' part of the greetings." The grin softened to a more sincere smile as she leaned in further hoping for a kiss. "Busy tonight, huh?" she commented distractedly in a soft voice.

His eyes closed then, as she touched his scar. Feeling her hand there.. in someway, it comforted him. Made him relax more. He took in even breaths as she moved her hand away, his eyes opening.
"Hi," she stated softly. "I think we missed the actual 'hello' part of the greetings."
He smirked, laughing softly. "Hi back." He said softly. He knew what she wanted. But he knew he couldn't pass up the opportunity in front of him, either. "Busy tonight, huh?" He nodded, his nose gently rubbing hers. "Mhm." He chuckled softly.
"You want a kiss huh?" He smirked. "What's the magic wooooord?" He said softly in a sing-song voice.

A little jolt went through her stomach as he brushed their noses together. She giggled but kept her position, hoping to maintain contact. It felt good, she had realized quite awhile ago, when they touched. Just any part of them; from kissing to just fingers brushing against each other accidentally. She liked it, planned on having it happen as often as possible.
"You want a kiss huh?" He smirked. "What's the magic wooooord?"
She pouted softly, hiding the smile threatening to break through. "You're mean," she commented, eyes softening. The facade broke quickly and her grin showed through. "Please?" she tried, cocked her head to the side a little. She could just take a kiss of course, pitch forward and press her lips to his without waiting for him. But this was fun.

"You're mean," she commented, eyes softening. The facade broke quickly and her grin showed through. "Please?"
His smile widened as he shook his head, their noses rubbing once more. "Nope, wrong." He chuckled softly. This was too easy, too fun. But, he wanted to kiss her as much as she wanted to be kissed.
He smiled once more as her head cocked to the side. "But I suppose I can let it pass.." He said softly, slowly inching his way forward, their lips grazing. He pulled back, not having completely kissed her. "Y'know, for future references, it's.." He let himself trail off for a reason as he winked at her. "Got it?" He gave a nod. "Good."
He smiled, his hands grasping her face gently as he finally gave her a soft slow kiss.

"Nope, wrong."
Her mouth dropped open as she passed him a disbelieving look. Okay, this wasn't fun anymore. Well, it was; but she wanted to kiss him more than she wanted to have fun, play games. "But I suppose I can let it pass.." Yes! Do that, just kiss her now! Because in about three seconds she was vaulting over the counter and doing the job herself. And that would make for quite a scene. And she didn't think the customers would appreciate that very much.
But then their lips touched and Shekinah forgot about everything else. She exhaled softly through her nose and was about to press further into the kiss when he pulled away. She almost cried. "Y'know, for future references, it's...Got it? Good." She raised an eyebrow at that. He was really going to pull this again? Well, if he ever delayed his kissing her again, they were going to have problems. Problems that were solved by her jumping him and kissing him senseless.
But then they were finally kissing, really kissing. And his hands were on her face and she was leaning in, encouraging his touch. Her eyes slipped closed as her wings fluttered softly behind her. It was still an enormous rush, kissing him. Nostalgia mixed with the thrill of a new kiss. Perfection. She never wanted to stop.
But she had to. Eventually.

He smiled against her lips, and as the kiss ended, his forehead rested against hers for a moment. Taking a deep breath, he smiled, kissing her forehead before letting go of her head. "All better?" He asked softly.
He knew this wasn't good, not in the angel sense. But in all honesty, he wasn't truly an angel. At least, not any more. He'd spent half a lifetime (decade, millennium?)on earth. He'd grown accustom to the human way of life.
And humans, like mutants, kissed. So in his eyes, they were doing nothing wrong. And besides, the balance was restored. What's wrong with a little celebrational(< not a word but it's my word!) kiss?

[[LOL i think that is a word actually... or maybe I'm thinking of celebratory? ehhh, whatever XD]]
"All better?"
Shekinah's eyes were still closed as he spoke but she nodded to his question. "Much better," she mumbled. Sher bucked forward a little, involuntarily, and pressed their lips together again, this time letting the kiss get a little deeper. Breaking away, she passed him a grin. Her hand slid across the counter to lace with his.
"In celebration of the triumph, yeah?" she said, smiling cheekily. Well, fuck if they didn't like that she was an angel and that she was doing some kissing. He was her husband from a lifetime ago and she had somehow been led to him again. She was going to kiss him. Especially at a time like this, when all was (more or less) well. It didn't matter so much for him. He was fallen. And Shekinah.. Well. Shekinah would give anything to become fallen. Just for the chance to live with freedom, in the constant balance on Earth.
"Thank you, Dommie." she added softly, thanking him for (finally) giving her the kiss. "I need to come here more often." Going back above was seriously cutting into her time with Dominick.

"In celebration of the triumph, yeah?"
That was unexpected, but welcomed nonetheless. He grinned, nodding slowly. "Yeah. So if anyone asks.." He laughed gently, shaking his head. It was nice to know that even in the hardest of times, they had each other to lean on.
"Thank you, Dommie." she added softly, thanking him for (finally) giving her the kiss. "I need to come here more often."
He gave a soft shrug. "It was nothin'" He joked, laughing. "More often? Girl you're here everytime I turn around. I'm gonna have to start paying you for just sitting there.[.b]" He laughed, shaking his head as Jamie gave him a odd look. "Don't you worry Jams, you still got a job here." He shot back at her with a grin.
The girl smiled, rolling her eyes as she turned back to the customer. "See, gonna get me in trouble with my main bartender." He smirked, hitting her gently with the towel. It was easy to say that Shekinah brightened up everyday for him when she was here. More often..? Hell, he couldn't complain.

"It was nothin'" He joked, laughing. "More often? Girl you're here everytime I turn around. I'm gonna have to start paying you for just sitting there."
Shekinah laughed at that as well. Like she needed money. All she had to do was picture some bills before her and -- voila! There they were. But if it gave her an excuse to sit there with Dominick and do nothing but smile and kiss and laugh with him. Well, then maybe she was down with that.
She smirked at the exchange between Dominick and Jamie. She passed a wink to the girl before looking back to Dominick at his accusation. "See, gonna get me in trouble with my main bartender."
"Excuse me?" she counted, fending off his playful strike and dropping her hands to her hips. "I'm not the one offering myself jobs; that was all you, Dommie." She shot him a flirtatious grin then, adding, "Not my fault if you just can't resist spending every waking moment with me." She broke into chuckles at that, shaking her head.
Okay, well maybe not every waking moment. But she wouldn't mind most of them. And maybe a few sleeping moments, too... She with-held a sigh at that. Maybe she should just do it. Fall from grace. Dominick had done it and Jadon and Ashling... And she did love Earth more than Heaven...
