The place was pretty quiet today, and Brianna was pretty bored. Daddy, bought her a new coloring book, so she was having fun coloring in the first letter of her name. Her head bobbed side to smile as she continued to color. Her head lifted, eyes locking with Dominick and Cain. Both of them were busy serving what little customers were there, so she didn't want to bother them. Sighing, she dropped the crayons to the bar-top and leaned forward, hands clapping ever so lightly, making a soft gentle beat. Cain's head lifted, smiling softly before going back to work. Brianna grinned back, looking to Dominick as he bopped her on the nose as he passed. " Baby mine, don't you cry. Baby mine, dry your eyes. Rest your head close to my heart. Never to part, baby of mine..." She sang softly as she picked up her crayons again and went back to coloring. Even as she colored, it was a melody she had planted in her memory for as long as she could remember. Even now, as she sang it, she could hear a woman's voice signing it along with her. " Little one when you play, don't you mind what you say. Let those eyes sparkle and shine. Never a tear, baby of mine..."

The door clanged musically as Shekinah entered the bar. She stretched a little and pushed the sunglasses that had been covering her eyes up to rest atop her head. It wasn't very busy inside Saints & Sinners. Aside from the few customers, the only other people present were Cain and Dominick. A lilting, little-girl singing reached Shekinah's ears and she looked down a little, revising her statement to include Brianna. A soft smile came to her lips as she watched the angel-girl color and sing together. She nodded a hello to the two boys before moving to sit next to Brianna. "Heya Bri," she greeted softly, upbeat. "How's it going?" Shekinah loved this little girl. They didn't spend a whole lot of time together, but enough. Dom had given her "father" a job at S&S as he was one of his projects: one of the Fallen. And of course Shekinah was around the bar all the time. She found she loved being with the little girl. She was such a cutie and was usually genuinely happy about the world around her. Shekinah wished she could be so care-free to just enjoy Earth. But if not, she could at least enjoy her time with the child. Brianna's presence made Shekinah feel better about everything. Put the world back in balance. At least for a little while.

Brianna bounced in her seat and giggled as Cain tripped and nearly fell down. "That's not funny, daddy could have gotten hurt." He told her with a soft smile, bopping her on the nose. Giggling, she nodded. "Sorry."
"Heya Bri," she greeted softly, upbeat. "How's it going?"
"Kinah!" Brianna threw her arms around the angel, giving her a nice big hug. "I'm good, how are you?" She asked smiling up at her widely before picking up a pink crayon to finish her B. "Daddy?" Cain stopped what he was doing to smile at Shekinah and look at Brianna. "Can I has a rootbeer?"
Even though he shook his head, he went off to making one for her as Dominick leaned across the counter to give Shekinah a soft kiss. "Eww!" Exclaimed Brianna with a scrunched up face.

Shekinah giggled as the girl hugged her. She returned the embrace with enthusiasm, cuddling Brianna to her. "I'm good too, kiddo," she replied, nose scrunching up in a smile. Looking at the coloring, Shekinah grinned wide. "That's so pretty, Bri. Betcha can guess from what I'm wearing that pink's my favorite." She tapped the angel-girl on the nose. "B for Brianna, huh?"
Giggling, Shekinah shook her head. Clearly this little girl had "daddy" completely wrapped around her finger. Then Dominick stole her attention briefly. She returned the gentle kiss, smiling. And then blushing a little when Brianna protested. She giggled a little to Dominick, eyes bright, before turning back to Brianna.
"What?" she asked, still grinning. "Think I got cooties, now?" Face sparkling, she set about tickling the little girl carefully. "Well, then I guess you got 'em too, huh?" Laughter spilled from her lips then and the air around her started to glow a little from the happiness she was feeling. Just from being with the angel-girl.

"That's so pretty, Bri. Betcha can guess from what I'm wearing that pink's my favorite." She tapped the angel-girl on the nose. "B for Brianna, huh?"
"Pink is mine too!" She exclaimed loudly. "See?" She pointed at the pink strip in her skirt and then at the pink spots in her shirt. Her head nodding excitedly. "Mhm! And Dommie said he'd hang it up when I was done!" She grinned.
"What?" she asked, still grinning. "Think I got cooties, now?" Face sparkling, she set about tickling the little girl carefully. "Well, then I guess you got 'em too, huh?"
Brianna erupted in laughter as Shekinah began tickling, she tried many times to tell her something but it ended up in a fit of giggles. Before she knew it, she was phasing right through the seat onto the ground, which just made her laugh even more.
Cain walked over, smirk on his face as he looked over the bar at his little girl. "Ey, silly, come get your rootbeer." He chuckled softly, setting it on the bartop for her. Brianna giggled still as she climbed back up onto the seat and sat down. "I has cooties now?" She looked to Shekinah, and then Dominick, and finally her dad. Her nose scrunched up, before reaching over and wiping a hand down Dominick's arm. "Nows you has it!"

"Well, aren't you lucky! Dommie never hangs up any of the pictures I make." She grinned teasingly then and tapped Brianna on the nose.
When Brianna phased through her seat, Shekinah gasped shortly, a hand to her mouth. The little girl was still giggling though and her father didn't seem to be worried. The smile slowly came back to Shekinah's face then and she offered a hand up for Brianna. She managed to get herself up on her own though, clamoring for the rootbeer.
"I has cooties now?" Shekinah nodded before bursting into laughter as Brianna wiped the cooties off on Dominick. "Nows you has it!" the little girl declared. Shekinah shook her head a little and wrinkled her nose to him. "Yewww, cooties," she teased softly. Turning back to the little girl, she added, "Now Cain's the only one without them... But that's okay, because daddies can't catch cooties," she said definitively, nodding.

"Well, aren't you lucky! Dommie never hangs up any of the pictures I make."
She waved her finger at Dominick as he passed. "Shames on joo!" But she couldn't help but smile. "Yewww, cooties," Brianna giggled softly as Dominick wiped the cooties onto Shekinah with a soft laugh. "Yeah, well, now Sheki has them." He grinned.
Brianna laughed out loud, pointing at Shekinah. "Now joo has cooties!" She grinned widely. "Now Cain's the only one without them... But that's okay, because daddies can't catch cooties," This made Brianna curious. So she got up and walked around the bar and pulled on Cain's pants. "Daddy?"
"What, baby?" He asked, stopping to look down at her. "Joo no get cooties?" Cain grinned, picking up up just to place her on the counter. "Nope, daddy can't get cooties, you know why?" Brianna just shook her head. "Becuase daddy, already has 'em!" He grinned, leaving kisses all over her. "And now you have them!"
"EWW! DADDY!" She shouted, wiping it back on Dominick's shirt as he leaned against the counter beside her. "Nu uh, now Dommie has 'em!" She giggled. "Are we going in a endless circle here or what?" Dominick laughed softly.
"Or what!" Brianna giggled, though she had no idea what he was talking about, but daddy was laughing too, so she laughed as well. "Or, what, or what, or what!"

Shekinah wrinkled her nose gently, sending out a soft chuckle. "Oh no! We're just all trading cooties, it seems." She watched as Cain and Brianna interacted and couldn't help but smile. Almost immediately, she wondered about her past. The one where she had been with Dominick as well. Not much of her times was spent thinking about it because she had a present and that was enough. But there were times --like that one-- when she couldn't help but to think about it, wonder. Did she have children in that other life? More of a family then just her mother, father siblings and Dominick? Had she been a mother?
"Definitely!" she said, snapping from her pondering to agree with Dominick. Watching the little girl parrot out his statement, Shekinah shook her head, soft peals of laughter falling from her lips. "My goodness, Cain!" she exclaimed softly, eyes alight. "Do you feed the girl nothing but pure sugar?" She chuckled again, tousling Brianna's hair a bit.
Something snapped her inhibitions away and she jumped up from her seat. Moving to the little angel-girl, she took up her hands and started turning in circles. Her wings fluttered, for the first time in awhile actual, and her curls bounced. She was happy. Children had that wonderful way about them.
[[ohmahgawsh; I love Sheki's new sig! Thanks! <3]]
