See it clearly. You found me - the frayIt wasn't the books, or the store that brought her here. Ever since she had put Lucifer back in his box, she started spending more time on earth. Watching--talking--waiting.
She crouched down before the man leaned against the wall. A hand reaching out to slowly take his pain away. He had lost it all. His Wife, his job, his house. "Be at peace, Jonathon." She whispered softly.
"Who are you?" He asked, oddly calm. He'd been drinking himself into a stupor ever since the accident. It was the final straw to his haystack, before everything came crashing down around him.
"That doesn't matter." She told him softly. "What matters is, Rebecca wouldn't want you living this way." She paused, smiling softly. "I believe she'd want you to get on yout feet, and live life to the fullest extent."
It was quiet a long time before the man did just that. It was slow, like watching some dramatic emotional movie. But the moment he stood on his own two feet, he smiled softly. "Thank you.."
Omni smiled, taking to her own. "For what?" She asked gently.
"For finding me."
She nodded, watching as he walked away. She knew at that moment, no matter what happened next in his life, he would be fine.
Just because life pushed you down, doesn't mean you should stay down. "Get up, stand tall, and face your fears." She whispered gently.

Josslyn was still getting used to things. Brianna was calling Cain "Daddy" and Josslyn "Mommy." Not that Josslyn minded, not really. A warm feeling blossomed in her chest whenever she heard that little-girl-voice call out "Mommy!" It still made her feel loved and important and so full of happiness she might burst. It was just times like this. When she was away from Brianna and Cain. When she wasn't totally wrapped up in the love she had for both of them, she started to wonder. Was this right? Were they right? Could they raise this little angel-girl? What would happen between a human (her) and an angel (him)? What did it mean for them, having Brianna? Was something bigger coming? Were they moving too fast? Were they moving too fast? God, Josslyn didn't know. They started out slow and everything was going so perfectly. But then they had Brianna and the world had been ending and Amarie had Saikoro and five other girls beside Molleigh... And things just started to happen. Josslyn just wanted to be sure. Because she didn't have a great track record with relationships... There had only been Scott before Cain and well... Finding out your boyfriend was your half-brother would put anyone off dating for awhile. Sighing, Josslyn shook her head and kept her eyes on her feet. She just didn't know. She knew she loved Cain; of that she was positive. But she had loved Scott as well... Lost in thought, Josslyn let her feet wander to the bookstore on their own. Except she wasn't looking so she crashed right into someone. Remembering how she had met Cain all those months again, Josslyn apologized, wide-eyed, to the woman. "Oh my God, I am so, so sorry." She offered a self-deprecating laugh and smile. "I really need to learn how to watch where I'm going; are you okay?"

Omni's brows furrowed, eyes looking to the right of her. It was today, wasn't it? She could feel it--sense it. It was coming. Lost in her own thoughts, the next thing she felt was somone knocking into her, making her stumble backwards a bit.
"Oh my God, I am so, so sorry."
Funny, how even God, could be surprised. She let out a soft laugh, eyes landing on the girl. Within seconds, she knew exactly who she was, and what she was thinking. "It's fine." She replied lightly.
"I really need to learn how to watch where I'm going; are you okay?"
"Then I suppose the same would have to be said for me." She replied quickly with a smile. "I'm fine, are you okay?" She asked, looking at the girl once more. But her eyes kept tracing back to the right--towards the street.
It would happen within minutes...

"Then I suppose the same would have to be said for me."
Josslyn chuckled and shook her head. "Nah, not even. I've kind of made it a habit; knocking into innocent strangers on the street." It was 'cause she got so lost in that head of hers. She really needed to bring herself down out of the clouds and back on the streets she was walking on. At least while she was out in public. Otherwise there would be injuries one day.
"I'm fine, are you okay?"
Josslyn nodded with a light smile and faint blush. "Yeah. Nothing hurt but my pride," she joked. Reaching for the door to the bookstore, she nodded toward the establishment. "Are you going in as well?" she asked. The woman seemed a little preoccupied by something in the other direction though and Josslyn looked to see what.

"Nah, not even. I've kind of made it a habit; knocking into innocent strangers on the street."
Like you did with Cain. Was what she wanted to say. She just smiled, nodding softly. "Gonna have to watch out for that then, huh?" She could hear it, it was faint. But she could hear it. It'd be any second now...
"Yeah. Nothing hurt but my pride,"
Omni's head turned, looking back at Josslyn. "Don't rely too much on pride. It gets you no where." She said softly. "Are you going in as well?" Her head turned back once again, "Hmm? Oh..." She shook her head, the sound of squealing tires hitting the mid day air.
Her head flung back, hair waving right into her face. She could feel it already, the pain that was going to happen. She moved then, walking slowly towards the main street where it would all go down.

"Gonna have to watch out for that then, huh?" Josslyn grinned at that, shrugging. Hey, knocking into that "innocent stranger" had brought her to one of the best relationships she could ask for (she thought; so far...). And she had a feeling about this woman... Like something safe and familiar. But that might just be Josslyn being weird. "Don't rely too much on pride. It gets you no where." She nodded at that, eyes rising a little as the woman shook her head to her question.
And then something happened. There was noise from a short distance away. 'An accident,' Josslyn thought to herself, stomach squelching unpleasantly. She didn't like auto-accidents. Josslyn didn't do well with seeing other people in pain.
Speaking of "other people in pain," the woman she had bumped into had a strong reaction to the accident. Her head jerked back and Josslyn's eyes widened. "Oh, gosh!" she cried. But the woman just walked off. After debating only a second, Josslyn went after her. It was almost like something was compelling her; some sense that something important was going to happen.

"Oh, gosh!"
The moment she set foot on the sidewalk, she had to take a few steps back. She could sense Josslyn was coming, and held a hand out. "Don't" She said softly, eyes focused on the road. Estelle said this was going to happen. A large accident on the main street.
Her head looked to the left, watching as the red light turned green. Turning to the right, she watched as the semi stepped on it's brakes. It was a sickening sound that crashed through the air as the semi slammed into a mini van.
Omni flinched, turning her head as the van spun into a motorcycle. The motorist tried to jump ship, but ended up getting caught under the wheels of a woman's car, who had been hit by the tumbling motorcycle.
It wasn't even half over.
The cars from the left didn't even see it coming. The Semi that started it all screenched right through the mini van right into the intersection. Vehicles left and right were crashing. Some on the street, others into buildings.
Omni's brows furrowed, hearing the soft sirens of an ambulance not far away...

Josslyn didn't hear the soft warning made by the woman. It would have been much better if she had... As it was though, she continued following her for just a few more steps. A few more steps, that's all it took. And then... the scene erupted.
It was absolutely horrifying to watch. A hand over her mouth, Josslyn watched with wide, watery eyes. She wanted to look away, wanted to turn her head and run, really. But her body wasn't responding to her mind's screams. She stood, frozen, remaining an audience to the horror.
"Oh my god," she mumbled out, voice hitching from locked-in tears. She could finally move and turned to a nearby building, leaving heavily against its wall. "No..." She was going to be sick. The sounds... Metal twisting, glass breaking, people crying, dying. She wanted to leave, get to Cain and never leave his embrace. But she couldn't even find the energy to keep herself standing up straight.
There was nothing she could do. No way she could help. And then, with all the distress she was experiencing, the walls she had worked so hard to erect came crashing down. She felt everything then. Everything everyone around her was feeling. It was so much... Fear, pain, horror, grief, panic, disbelief, pain, pain, pain!!
Fingers weaving into her hair, Josslyn clenched her eyes shut, trying to get a hold of herself.

"Oh my god,"
Such small simple words. But it was all that was needed to make her snap out of it. Her head slowly turned, looking as Josslyn walked towards a building and leaned against a wall. "No..." She could feel it, all her frustration, and all those walls that Josselyn had built, they were crashing down all around her.
Slowly, she walked towards her, ears shutting out the noise of the accident right behind them. She crouched down before Josslyn, taking her hand. "Let it fade.." She whispered. "Just let it fade, Josslyn..."
She needed to, to be able to move on from this. "I know it hurts, to feel what they feel." She whispered. "But you have to let it fade."

"Let it fade... Just let it fade, Josslyn... I know it hurts, to feel what they feel. But you have to let it fade."
Josslyn was full-fledged crying then, tears running down her cheeks, making a mess of the slight make-up she had put on earlier. She heard the woman's words though and tried to nod. Swallowing thickly, she focused on letting everything fade away, as she had. Just let it all fade... Everything was washing off of her. Everyone else was gone so that it was only her and her emotions left.
Opening her eyes, she chewed on her lip, keeping the barriers up. Tears still ran down her face and she sniffled softly. Meeting the other woman's eyes, she passed her an incredulous look. "How'd you know my name?" she asked, voice distorted. "And about the accident? It's like...you were going toward it, like you knew it was coming." Josslyn straightened up, running a wrist under her eyes to catch the fallen tears.

She could feel it, even with her hand just slightly touching Josslyn's, she could feel it fading away slowly. She held a smile, but worry was written on her face as she gained up all of Josslyn's second thoughts about Cain and Brianna.
"How'd you know my name?"
Her eyes lifted, looking into Josslyn's. "And about the accident? It's like...you were going toward it, like you knew it was coming." She took in a slow and steady breath, before moving to lean against the wall beside her. "I know you want answers." She whispered, eyes locked on the hands in her lap.
"But if I told you..." She paused, thinking it in her mind as she spoke. "You're mind will just get jumbled, and you'll be questioning more than your relationship."

Josslyn calmed herself completely as the woman went on. She nodded a little. "Questions more than her relationship"? Was this woman a telepath of some sort? And what did she mean by that? Why would she be questioning more than... She shook her head a little. Apparently, more questions and answers to those questions would only confuse her further. So she would just accept it and accept that it was all above her...
Damn, she wanted to see Cain. No one calmed her down like him and after that... After what she had seen...
She sniffled a little, getting upset all over again. But she willed herself to stop. Getting upset wouldn't help any of those people, wouldn't help herself.

Faith.Estelle walked down the street, her heels clicking against the cracked pavement. Her grin was a small one, and it was not because she was happy only because she couldn't help but smile when she was on her way to see her mother, Omni. The true reason why she was going to see her was sad, and depressing. She had more news of what was too come and once again it was not that of something good. A people passed her hopelessly as they roamed the streets. She could tell their souls were lost, and they had faded hope in their lord. They were doubting their faith. A wave of sadness rolled off her as she sensed all the sadness and confusion. Then she remembered the car crash she had told Omni about. It was the date and time it was supposed to happen and the street was just up ahead. Omni was just up ahead. Turning the corner she saw Omni just up ahead talking to a young woman. Her smile grew as she felt the power that radiated off of her. Walking up behind the woman she nodded to Omni. "Hello there." Looking off into the crash her smiled faltered only a moment. "Oh no. It has happened hasn't it?" She made it sound as if she had just heard about it, not sure if she was free to talk about her abilities in front of this woman yet. Getting closer to Omni, her arm brushed the girls. A series of visions clouded her mind as she stood next to omni her eyes blank. "Hello Josslyn. I'm Estelle." Feeling the confusion that seeped from her made her want to tell her everything, but Estelle kept her mouth shut and held her hand out to greet. Estelle was always known as the weird angel who always smiled, and this showed it. The crash was no more than 40 yards away and she was smiling and greeting someone as if she hadn't had this gory vision a couple of days ago. She turned to Omni. "I have news. News that cannot wait to be told." She said her smile finally falling. This vision was bad. Worse than what she was expecting, and yet not as bad as what can happen if someone doesn't stop....him. She shook the chilling look and regained her smile as she turned back to Josslyn.
