Slowly, I'm fallingHe'd made plans. Which was something he wasn't known for. Plus, he was actually keeping said plans to meet up with Corona and Lyra at Broadway. That night, something sort of... snapped inside of him. Whatever it was, he wasn't letting it go. Oddly enough, he ended up passing a flower shop, a jewelry store, and a toy store on the way.
Checking his watch, he realized he had better hurry, or he was going to be late. Picking up his slack, he walked quickly down the street, a small smile on his face. It seemed to widen as he saw the two as he rounded the corner. "Bonjour." He said softly, kissing Corona's cheek lightly before kneeling down infront of the little girl.
"Bonjour Mademoiselle, Lyra." He smiled, holding out a small Lilac flower to her. "Smell it, it smells good." He paused. "Plus, just in case the show is somewhat dull..." he pulled the stuffed fox from behind his back with a smile. "For you."
Once she accepted both gifts, he took to his feet. "And for you." He smirked, passing the single red rose to Corona. "And.." He dug in his pocket from the slim velvet box before handing it over. "I saw it, and I thought of you."

They had been waiting there only a little while. Corona was holding Lyra's hand tightly so she couldn't run off in any direction. She did not want to lose her little girl. She had talked about this as much as she could with Lyra and though the girl didn't quite understand it all, she tried her best to act like she did. As soon as Cor saw Nicolas, her heart felt all aflutter, and a smile came to her face. God, how did that man make her vision so dizzy so quickly? Her smile kept its place as he spoke.
Lyra was just excited to meet someone new. Shames had apparently helped her with meeting new people, so Lyra wasn't as shy as she used to be. Lyra looked at him with curious eyes and took the lilac, politely saying "thank you." She then smelled it and smiled. When she went to comment, she saw the stuffed animal and beamed with a happy amount of giggles before grabbing it and hugging it tightly. "Thank you, N-Ne-Necowas!!" Ly exclaimed, trying her best to say his name with a bright smile on her face. This guy didn't seem too bad. Evan had never given her a gift....just offered to read her a book once before. Lyra definitely liked gifts!
Corona blushed as she took the rose. "Oh, you didn't have t-" She began but then stopped when he said and. Oh god, he bought her jewelry!? How...well...Generous! "Oh Nick! What...What is it?" She gasped and then took the small velvet box, opening it rather slowly. She found herself staring at a beautiful charm bracelet. Corona immediately looked up at him. "God, Nick...It's...I don't know what to say."

"Thank you, N-Ne-Necowas!!"
Just for sport, he bowed down a bit and smiled at her. "Your very welcome." His smile grew into a grin as he locked eyes with Corona again, watching as she blushed. "Oh, you didn't have t-" He shook his head lightly. "Of course I didn't have to. I wanted to."
"Oh Nick! What...What is it?"
He grinned, silent as can be as his hands went into his pocket and he rocked on the heels of his feet. "Go on," He urged with a soft laugh. "Open it." He smiled. "God, Nick...It's...I don't know what to say." He waved her off, as if it was nothing. "I think lyra summed it up right with a 'thank you'"
Looking down at Lyra he smiled. "So... What do ya say, should we go see the show?"

"I think Lyra summed it up right with a 'thank you'"
"R-Right. Thank you Nick." Corona chuckled with the smile and the blush increasing upon her face. She was relieved that Lyra seemed to be rather happy about this. It was good to see her little girl getting along. It seemed as if it had been too long since she saw Lyra so excited about being around new people.
In fact, right after Nicolas asked her, Lyra immediately grabbed his hand and started pulling them both along. "Let's go!!" She exclaimed rather happily. She liked this guy, he had a nice cheery face. Not to mention, he didn't give off that vibe of being here only for her mother...like the other lady did.

"R-Right. Thank you Nick."
He smiled brightly, eyes shining. Within a split second Lyra was grabbing Corona's and his hand and pulling them inside. "Let's go!!" He grinned, looking to Corona as they made their way inside.
Standing at the ticket booth, he asked for three tickets to see The Lion King. He'd read the reviews, was told it 'there is nothing else like it'. He was even looking forward to it. Smiling, he looked down at Lyra. "So what kind of snacks do we want?" He looked at his other hand at his watch. "Better hurry, show starts soon."

Lyra looked up at him and then stared at the ground, thinking about his question. She didn't know what she wanted. "Candy! Candy!" She exclaimed excitedly, pointing to where the candy was located. She stared up at them both with innocent brown eyes as she remembered her manners that Shames had taught her. Lyra smiled before clearing her throat and saying, "Please, may I get candy?"
As much as she loved her daughters adorable mannerisms, she didn't think Lyra would be too manageable at a show with loads of sugar running through her bloodstream. "Lyra honey, maybe you should pick food right now, and then if you're still hungry after, we can get you candy?" Corona suggested, "How we get you some popcorn instead?"
Lyra nodded happily before grabbing both of their hands and anxiously trying to pull them toward the concessions counter.
