[Viviane]

Viviane was supposed to be asleep. But she couldn't sleep. Something was bugging her. She didn't want to tell Terry about it, but she sort of had to. She couldn't keep it a secret for much longer anyway. But she was afraid. What if things were different once Terry knew? What if Terry wouldn't like her anymore? Because really, Viviane had just been posing as a child and making Terry take care of her.

But she had to tell Terry. Anyway, the world could end any day and the urge to fight was growing even stronger in Viviane. She needed to do something--but she couldnt. If she just left, how would that make Terry feel? And she couldnt just ignore it all...So the best course of action was to tell Terry.

She padded down the stairs, still in her pajamas. She knew Terry was down there--Talon probably was too, although she didn't know. She peered around the corner, and put on that sad-kid face. "Momma?" she asked, her small voice sounding very frail. Viviane had taken to calling Terry 'Momma'--she rather thought Terry liked it, and Viviane h adn't used that word in so long.

"I gots somethin' to tell yous," she mumbled, once she was sure she had Terry's attention.

Terry was awake for a late night snack. She wasn't even three months into her pregnancy and the cravings had become aggressive. They'd attack and just as soon as she finally saited her thirst for the particular craving... she'd have to throw up only to be replaced with a new craving. This time it was sweets. Terry ran to the store earlier to buy a bunch of cupcakes and cookies... and milk.

She'd told Talon two days before this.. or was it three? Terry looked at the clock and confirmed it was 1 am.... The question plauging Terry was, when and how do I tell Vivi? Like clockwork Terry heard Vivianne's voice quaver from the doorway of the apartment that was their kitchen.

"Momma?" She heard. Terry looked at her.

"Hey, sweetie, why are you up so late?.... early..." She asked.

"I gots somethin' to tell yous." Terry's eyes furrowed. What's wrong? she wondered, but quickly replaced this expression with a smile and patted the stool next to her.

"Me too, want some cookies?" I guess this time is as good as any..

Viviane walked slowly over to Terry, her head hung like she had been a bad girl. She hadn't exactly been a bad girl, had she? All she had done was pretend to be a child. She knew terry had wanted a kid, being that she couldn't have one herself, but Viviane was an Angel.. hundreds of years older than terry.. was that right?

Viviane noticed the frown in Terry's eyes, and looked down again quickly. She climbed deftly up onto the stool next to Terry's, kicking her feet together, like all kids did when they realized their feet wouldn't touch the ground. She heard Terry's voice. What did Terry have to tell?

"You fuh-wast," she said, indicating that her news could wait till later. Anything to put off revealing her secret... Viviane's stomach churned, and she bit at her lip, ignoring the offer of cookies. She'd probably just throw them up with all of her nervousness...
