"Just curious, what language is that? I've never heard it before." May asled. Ville took another sip of his coffee and sat back.
"That one is Finnish. I speak..." Ville paused for a second and counted silently, "Eight. But if I heard a new one right now, i'd be able to speak it. I have omnilanguism. I was born, I think, in Finland and had my first three slave owners there. I've been to... 16 countries I believe." Ville wasn't sure. His life was mostly masters and traveling.
"Believe me, May, traveling isn't all that fun when you have to do it constantly."

Finnish. Ah. So he was from.. Finland? "Eight?!" Wow. May could really only speak one, and sometimes she wasn't even very good with that one. "Is... Is slavery illegal in Finland?" she asked. She knew it had been abolished a long time ago in the US, but what about Finland? And three slave owners...
"I would love to travel. I've spent my whole life in the same parts of New York, so I'd kind of love to get out of here." she grinned and smiled. It would also be good to get away from New York because of all the bad memories. Her dead family, poor dead baby Bridget... The men in black clothing...

"Is... Is slavery illegal in Finland?" She asked. Ville thought for a moment. Before he began speaking, however, she started up again. "I would love to travel. I've spent my whole life in the same parts of New York, so I'd kind of love to get out of here." She grinned.
"I have no idea if slavery is ilegal, however both you and I know that if someone wants to do something they're going to do it anyway." Ville took a sip of his rapidly cooling coffee. "Some places are good to be, but only if you're touring.... and even then you have to be careful. Places like Italy and France have sex-slaves. Israell ((sp?)) pretty much hates whites. Africa is in the middle of a drought, you could die of heat frustration or even dehydration." Ville looked over at her.
"I hope i'm not scaring you." The world is beautiful... but not right now.

He had that right. People had a way of getting what they wanted, when they wanted, and how they wanted it. Nobody really asked for permission anymore. No one played by the rules. She listened to his description of the different places. Those were things she didn't know, and she would have rather not known. She had hoped to go to some of those places someday.
"No, you aren't," she said, her voice wavering slightly with the half-lie. She wasn't really scared, just sort of shocked. She had always thought new York was the place where all of that happened, like getting away to those places would be better. But the world all had its ugliness. Noting was perfect, she had been a fool to believe that.
"Why did you come to New York though?" she questioned, holding onto her coffee, taking a tiny sip. She couldn't see that New York was much better than those places.

"Why did you come to New York though?" she asked him.
"Good question... Maybe it's because I don't know where I belong... Maybe I'm wishing for something but don't know what it is. Maybe it's just because this is where I felt I had to be." This girl was imposing a lot of questions on him...

"Well, I'm glad we happened to be at the same place in New York at the same time," she said with a small smile. At least now she had a friend. It wa still kind of a mystery to May as to why he had talked to her in the first place, although she was happy he had.
"Sorry I've been asking so many questions," she apologized shyly. "I just haven't actually talked to anyone in a while." And she hadn't. It was nice to talk, ask questions and then be told the answer.

"Sorry I've been asking so many questions, I just haven't actually talked to anyone in a while." Ville smiled.
"That's okay." Some song came on the loudspeakers. "Who is your favorite band?" He asked. "Personaly I like, Led Zeplin, Areosmith, all the good bands." Ville laughed. It was a dorky laugh, but he never noticed. People just laughed with him, and he assummed that people had the same humor as him.
