After working on toning down her attire--which wasn't too bad, but she refused to give up the bright red lipstick--she was ready to make her first appearance as a changed Hand. An ex-Hand. Since Pheonix was dead, there was nobody to really punish her, right? And she knew she had to do this. She had to make the change. For her parents. The ones she desperately wished she could remember. Finding herself in a nerve tic, she fixed her skirt once before looking up to watch the path she took toward Biella Chateau: a wonderful mansion, but it seemed to glare down at her with a menacing gaze, as if it mocked her. "You'll never be able to do this," it said. "Watch me," she growled back under her breath. The house laughed, "Colette will break you." "Let her," replied she. "You're giving up." She didn't look at the house; she looked at the door, which welcomed her with open arms."I'm growing up."

Busy wasn't the word for what was going on today. Between schedules of classes, meetings with teachers, taking care of the twins, and making sure Julie felt comfortable here. Colette was jam packed full with too many things for just one woman to handle. Eliza and Parker were sitting in their bouncing chairs, crying their hearts out as Colette tried to move as fast as humanly possible to make their bottles. While doing this, she was also on the phone with one of her teachers, who was calling in sick. " No.. I..." She stopped, turning around to look at the twins. " Mommy is going as fast as she can." She told them, moving the phone back to her ear. " I'm sorry.. I know your sick but--" She cut off, and sighed heavily. " It's like a mad house here and I really can't--" Her head hung low as the timer went off for the bottles. " Okay, fine. I'll... I'll find someone to take over your class, if worse comes to worse, I'll just cancel it for a day." She snapped, hanging up the phone and nearly slamming it on the table. " Okay.. okay." She tried to soothe the two crying babies. " Yes, I know. You're both hungry." She smiled, picking Eliza up and holding her in her arms. " Shhh..." She cooed as she placed the bottle in her mouth. She turned around, turning off Parker's bouncing chair and placing his bottle in his mouth as well. " Yes. Peace... quiet.. Love it... Shh..." She sighed, closing her eyes.

The loud whines of babies rang throughout the foyer as she entered the house, looking around. There was no definite epicenter to the sound, just waves bulging out everywhere. Julie shut the door behind her, following the sound of Colette's voice. No one else trusted her yet, and frankly, she didn't feel comfortable around anybody else but the headmistress.
At the sight of the infants when she poked her head in one room, finding the mother and children, she faltered in her step. Children were...different. She wasn't sure she liked being around them, but who could resist those faces? Clearing her throat, she let on a meek smile.
"Hi."

"Hi."
Parker had fallen asleep right after he finished half the bottle. Eliza was stubborn, she insisted on finishing the entire thing before falling asleep. Colette turned her head, smiling softly at Julie. "Hi. " She smiled. "How are you?" She asked, taking to her feet as she turned on the bouncing seat for Parker.
She ran a free hand through her hair as she started cleaning up. Julie had some perfect timing, Colette needed all the help she could get. "I'm glad you came." She smiled back at her as she started up some dish water. "You think you could do me a favor and find a temporary teacher for Defense today? Ours called in sick." She sighed. "There's a book in the living room with a list of names." She offered.

Only shrugging as an answer to her question, and came back with a, "You?" It was so strange being here. She hadn't known anything except the streets up until now. She missed them. This whole transition from night to day was all too fast-paced and drastic to take in one big heap.
Julie nodded, moving farther into the room and passing into the living room, finding the hefty book with ease. She flipped through the pages. Wonder if I could ever teach. Bet I could give 'em some real-life scenarios, since I've been in 'em... Fuck, that's thinking way too far ahead.
Defense teachers, defense teachers...
