To say the least, he was a big fat wuss.
Hiding here, and hiding there. Not wanting to bump into either one of them. But he wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. He sat in the living room, the tv was off, and he was steadily starring at it, as if it held all the answers he was looking for.
Kyla wanted them to be back to the way they were. But what did that mean? And, what about his feelings for Shaelynne? They wouldn't and couldn't just disappear because she wanted him back.
He took a deep breath and sighed, as he slid farther down in the couch. "You are such an asshole, Tyler." He told himself. "You are one stupid ass, who is a son of a bitch. You fucking coward." He told himself, starring at his reflection in the tv.
"Make up you're fucking mind." He mumbled with a sigh following suit. Yet, none of this helped. Not one tiny bit..

The sound of the water was calm. She bent forward holding her eratic curls in one hand as she spit out the toothpaste in her mouth. She wiped her mouth and turned off the faucet. She was bored to say the least. It was about 2 in the afternoon and she had no plans for anything. No shopping, No tanning, no nothing.
She looked up into the mirror. She had no plans yet she had make up on, and her hair was extra curly today. She grinned at her reflection. She looked cute, but she knew what would make her smile glow better. Tyler! But that would never happen. He was too confused.
She hung up her small towel, and walked out of the bathroom. Kyla made her way down the hallway. She began to sing softly to herself. "Can't you see...You belong with me." She stopped hearing a familar voice coming from the couch.
She giggled and stood behind it. She heard the last of what he was mumbling. Make up your mind. Those words themselves made her skin crawl. Could he really make up his mind?
She smirked. "Talking to yourself again... I see." She laughed softly. "I thought Colette sent you off to do yard work?" She asked playfully. Colette was always making Tyler do things, but that was only because she knew he didn't want to be caught talking to her or even Shae.

"Talking to yourself again... I see." She laughed softly. "I thought Colette sent you off to do yard work?"
He jumped, and slid down to the floor. He scrambled to his feet quickly, with with only socks on, on a hardwood floor, it was difficult. "I.. uh.." He mumbled, sliding as he held onto the couch. Falling back onto the floor, he sighed. "Yeah." He offered with a nod.
His head fell back, leaning against the couch. "Suppose I should.. y'know, go do that." He smiled weakly at her, pushing himself up with the couches help. He knew he couldn't hide forever, knew it was only a matter of time before a talk, or an argue started between them.
He grabbed his shoes that sat by the entry to the foyer, and slipped them on. Fall.. raking leaves and draining the pool. Fun. His shoulders slumped as he starred at the door. "I'm sorry, Kyla." He said softly, as he walked towards the door.
Opening it silently, he slipped out into the cool day air. Leaving it wide open.. Maybe that was an invitation? Who knew, really...

Kyla giggled softly as he slipped every which way. Her smile soon fell when he began to walk away. She watched as he put on his shoes and walked outside. He didn't go without apologizing first. Not to mention he left the door wide open. She smiled. That was an invitation. She walked softly and slowly outside. She saw him heading for the rake. She grinned and walked behind him not making a sound. Once he stopped and she was right behind him she spoke. "Well working is never fun by yourself." She paused leaning across him grabbing the other rake. "Need a hand?" She asked still bent over looking for the gardening gloves. Something told her this could go bad. Considering she was wearing her cheetah print thong, and she was more than sure it was showing right now. She stood up instantly knowing he had to feel awkward. She handed him the big pair of gardening gloves. "Which area first?" She asked softly. She wasn't going to let him tell her no. Not this time.

"Well working is never fun by yourself."
His head turned slightly, watching her move for the rake. His eyes trailed over her, and stopped suddenly at the sight of a thong. He took a deep breath, and looked up at the sky. "Yeah.. yeah I.." He swallowed hard. "Yeah."
"Need a hand?"
"Kyla.. you don't.." He bite his lip, knowing this time, she wasn't going to accept a no. "Yeah.. sure." He nodded with a large sigh. Tease me with a thong, knowing you're doing it and then act like everything is fine, when it's not.. Yeah, sure.. Why not.
"Which area first?"
He waved his hand at the gloves. He was use to raking bare handed. It was no big deal. "Uh.." He looked around the large front yard. "You can start on that side, and I'll.." He pointed, as he swallowed drying. "Start on this one."
And with that, he was off to it. Rake, rake, rake. Then he would look up, and over at her. Rake, rake, rake. It was like a memorizing trance he was in.

Kyla listened to him stutter. All of this was too much to take in. He was so sad, and depressed, and it hurt her beyond compare. When he seperated her off to one side she knew he was not going to be willing to talk. She raked...and raked...and raked. Every once and a while she would look up and he would be staring at her ever so slightly.
She sighed pushing her hair from her face. She eventually came down to a hug pile. She snapped and the large pile caught on fire instantly. She smiled softly as she watched the flames dance across the leaves. She inhaled softly and grinned closing her eyes. The smell of burning leaves gave her a comfort like no other. It almost reminded her of Caleb.
Her eyes shot open and she shook the thought. Caleb was gone, and would be gone for the rest of her life. Even as a friend there was no use to even mention his name, no need to think it. She took a deep breath and grabbed her rake. She walked over to Tyler's side.
"So are you going to put me some where farther to rake the next pile or are you actually going to let me stand by you this time?" She asked trying to sound serious, but a smile crawled across her lips. "Tyler you really don't have to be like this I promise i'm not going to tackle you and force you to love me again..." She paused looking down at her boots.
"Atleast I'll try not to." She looked back up and grinned. "We could actually have a conversation while we work? Don't you think that might be fun..." She said being sarcastic, and you might say a little bitchy, but there was no need for Tyler to be acting this way. She knew very well that he was 'confused' but he could still talk to her.

Rake, rake, rake.
Okay, this was horrid, and boring. He stopped, having it all in once pile as the smell of already burning leave, wafted into his nose. He sniffed, and shook his head. With the snap of his finger, the leaves caught fire and he was walking off towards the side of the house.
"So are you going to put me some where farther to rake the next pile or are you actually going to let me stand by you this time? Tyler you really don't have to be like this I promise i'm not going to tackle you and force you to love me again... Atleast I'll try not too."
He rubbed at the back of his head. "Yeah, maybe you're--hiccup-- right." He took in a large breath and held it, starring at her. Letting it out a moment later with a slight cough. "I just--Kyla it's just--" GAH! Why was this so fucking hard!? He grunted, dropping the rake a moment, and rolling his eyes. "I have been ignoring you, and Shae, and yeah, maybe that's not the way to go about this.. But it's the only thing I can think of." He told her.
"That day, in the park, only confused the hell out of me even more. And you.. coming out here with your thong on and acting like.." He huffed. "Everything is okay, when clearly it isn't.. Isn't helping." He paused, taking even breaths a moment as he stood there, starring at her. "Cause god only knows.. When I look at you.. I.." He dropped his head, and shook it softly.

Kyla shook her head softly. She leaned forward placing her hand on his shoulder. "Tyler the only one who is making everything difficult is you." She said softly. "I'm fine with giving you time, and I'm fine with you choosing her over me...Just as long as you are happy in the end."
She sighed and shook her head. "And to be the uptmost random. I wear thongs when I please...Not to tease, and if they bug you I won't wear them..." She raised a brow. "And Tyler truly if you calm down a bit...everything can seem okay." She grinned.
"Tyler..." She backed up a bit and sighed holding her hair out of her face. "You already know how I feel and I'm not going to explain again, because you should know...But if all of this is too much for you maybe I should stay at one of the other mansions for a while. But i'm not sure how that will help..." She sighed.
Kyla grabbed her rake and began to walk off to one of the areas still covered in leaves. She was trying not to get mad, sad, or even a little pissy. She turned back to Tyler. "Lord only knows what would happen if Shae were to waltz down here..." She smirked and turned around to begin raking. She raked so hard she swore she dug holes in the ground. She was mad, but she was stable enough to continue raking.
Today, wasn't going to be as good as she thought.

She was so darn tired of being inside! She wished she could ride. That's what she really wanted to do. But this wasn't home; there wasn't a stable around every corner here... She doubted there were any horses within a hundred mile radius anyway. Other than those sad, droopy-looking horses the mounted cops rode. Shaelynne let out a sigh and made for the door. She could wander outside, at least. It was a nice day, finally. A little on the chiller side, but better than it had been. Not so gloomy and grey. She kicked at a few loose leaves playfully as she walked. She was already brightening because of the sun. She loved the sun. Stretched her arms above her head, she leaned back a bit and enjoyed the rays of light. She let out another sigh, but this one relaxed and content. Settling her shouders, she opened her eyes. Uh-oh.Tyler. And Kyla. Shaelynne dropped her head to the side. She watched them interact for a moment. Everything was so weird with...that. With all that: Tyler and Kyla and her... She looked away quickly, not wanting to be caught observing them.

He starred at her, as if she'd lost her mind. How could she be so calm? Why wasn't she mad, and.. H took a deep breath and sighed. So he was making this difficult? Of course he was! He was attracked to two beautiful and smart women! How could this not be difficult, making a choice like this!
If he calmed down? He was calm, for crying out loud! He wasn't shouted and rambling on and screaming obscure words. No, he was calm, but all this talk of difficulties, and thongs, and Kyla, and Shaelynne.. All of it. It was just driving him insane. Now she was talking about living at a different manor, and saying how she doubted it would help.
He closed his eyes, standing there, absorbing it all in, readying himself to say or do something. Something, anything, but stand here. "Lord only knows what would happen if Shae were to waltz down here..." A soft groan left his lips. "Kyla.." His eyes shot open.
And there was Shae. "I.." Say something you idiot! "I.. Hi, Shae."

Kyla's breath caught in her throat. She plastered a smile to her face praying he was just kidding with her. She turned slightly and saw the dirty blonde hair. She sighed softly to herself. She gazed over the girl. It took every never in Kyla's body for her not to light her up and watch her burn.
Taking a calm breath she turned completely to Shae. "Hey." She said trying to hide the tension behind it. She kept the smile on her face and continued to rake. Her hands were so tightly gripped around the rake that she began to loose feeling in her fingers. She closed her eyes trying to keep her calm.
The way he looked at her she knew that he had feelings for her, and for Shae. He was just too stubborned to give up and choose one. He couldn't focus on what he really wanted. Mess up once and you loose his heart forever. That's exactly what she did, and by the time she recovered he had already moved onto someone smarter, and funnier than her.
That was just how the world worked. She couldn't always have what she wanted.

Shaelynne blushed immediately. "Hey, there," she greeted softly. She chanced a small wave before dropping her hands into her hair. Rubbing at her neck, she forced herself to make eye contact with both of them. "Raking?" she asked softly. Well, obviously they were raking. What a brilliant observation...
She dropped her hands to behind her back, twisting together. She didn't know why this was so awkward. Okay, well, she knew. Because Tyler and Kyla had been going out and then they broke up and then Shaelynne had showed up. And then there was the unsure attraction between Shaelynne and Tyler... What a fun triangle...
Licking her lips, Shaelynne took a careful step forward, toward them. She had stepped directly into a patch of sunlight and tilted her head up unconsciously, enjoying the warmth on her face.

"Hey." "Hey, there. Raking?"
Tyler stopped, leaning on his rake, he nodded. "Yeah. Colette's orders." He turned his head slightly, looking over at Kyla, who seemed to be engulfed in the raking process. Probably only because she didn't want to say or do something that would end up looking horrid. He turned back, stratching at his chin as he starred at Shae.
"So.. uh.." Shit, here we go again with the lack of words. Way to go, Ty! you big fat son of a bitch, wuss. He rubbed at his chin once more. "Wanna help? Lots of yard to cover." He offered softly with a smile.
It wasn't so easy, choising between these two. Kyla was as sweet as can be. But there were times when she could be so insecure of herself, and Ty.. Well, when they were together, he did everything in his power to help with that.
Then there was Shae, easy-going and carefree. Had a heart of gold, but other than that, he didn't know much about her. But with this awkward triangle going on, he didn't think he'd ever be able to. He scratched the top of his head, as he started raking again.

Kyla took a deep inhale. Great! Now she was going to help. She stopped herself from making a bad comment. "I'll go get you some gloves. She walked over to the shed and grabbed a pair that loooked like they could fit. She sulked back over to her. She gave her the gloves. "The rakes are on the other side of the shed... I wasn't sure what size you wanted."
She grabbed her own rake and walked in front of Tyler. She caught his gaze and gave him a pained expression. She walked towards the farthest part of the yard. She felt her eyes burning as if she were about to start crying. She stopped herself. She took a deep breath. She was not going to let this make her cry.
Kyla hummed to herself as she raked. Maybe this was what she needed to make her move on. Could she move on? Could she forget about him? She doubted it, but after this scene she wasn't sure what she could do. She couldn't tempt Tyler anymore...Not even her lucky cheetah thong could help her with that one.

Shaelynne bit her lip as Kyla walked off to retrieve some gloves. "She doesn't like me, huh?" she mused softly to Tyler. She tried to act as if it didn't bother her, but her eyes most likely betrayed that fact. She swallowed and forced a smile, shrugging. She couldn't really help that, could she? She would just be nice as she was to Kyla and...hope for the best. And...she didn't want to get in the way of her and Tyler. Sure, she was attracted to him. But he and Kyla had had a strong relationship...
Maybe she should sit down and talk one-on-one to Tyler. She glanced to him. Maybe not. It looked like this was eating him up from the inside enough as it was. She offered him a slight, reassuring smile. She felt bad, that all this causing him so much distress...
Kyla returned with gloves and Shaelynne passed her a bright smile. "Thanks so much," she said softly, taking the offered gloves. At the mention of the rake, though, Shaelynne hit her forehead lightly. "Hey, better idea," she suggested. Closing her eyes, she focused on her telekinesis. Visualizing, she saw all the leaves lift up and then gather into one giant pile. Opening her eyes, she saw that she had made it happen. Giggling triumphantly, she gave a little jump. "Awesome!" She was getting so much better. Now that her powers weren't such a burder to her all time she was learning to enjoy them.
Her eyes drifted from Tyler's to the giant leaf pile. She cocked her head wistfully. Her and her dad always used to jump in them when she was a little girl. She chuckled softly at the memory.

"I'll go get you some gloves. The rakes are on the other side of the shed... I wasn't sure what size you wanted."
Tyler stopped, leaning on the rake once more as he watched them. Couldn't he just.. have both? You are such a fucking idiot. No, you can't have both of them. Make a damn choice would you? You're not only hurting yourself here, you know.
"She doesn't like me, huh?"
Tyler just blinked, thinking it best he didn't answer that. "Hey, better idea," He lifted a brow, watching the leaves gather into one large pile. Well, that seemed to make his day go by quicker. Now all that was left, was the pool. "Awesome!" He smiled. "Nice."
He saw that look though, in her eyes. One he had so many times when he was young with his parents. It was a ritual to any kid, to jump into the pile of leaves. But, they weren't kids anymore. For christ's sake, he was almost nineteen. "One thing left to do." He said softly.
Crouching down, he starred at his hand as a fireball emerged out of thin air. Slowly, he threw it at the pile, watching it burn...

Kyla turned as all the leaves seemed to move in the air into a big pile. She let the rake drop. Well now there was no use for her out her. She took a calming breath. She turned just in time for Tyler to say "Nice". Nice my ass, was all Kyla could think about. Her sweet complection fading as she began to walk towards the shed with the gloves and rake in tow.
She put everything back where she got it. She walked past the two with out a word. As she began to walked towards the back patio she began to think about how Shae was just trying to impress him. It made her blood boil. Without a second thought two or three bushes burst into flames right near the patio. She cursed. "Shit. Stupid worthless good for nothing power..." She exclaimed as she closed her eyes trying to calm herself.
The flames just grew higher as she kept picturing Tyler and Shae, and everything that went wrong. She tried and tried to calm herself. It just wasn't working. Why wouldn't it stop" She couldn't even absorb the heat. The flame just grew bigger. Finally, she stuck her hand in the middle of the first bush. She didn't feel the fire, but that didn't mean it wasn't burning her.
She took one long calming breath. The bushes immeadiately were fireless. They were black and gray wit ash and ashes were all around the one area. She sighed falling to her knees. That took so much energy out of her. Why couldn't she control that one simple power. She had had it for so long, and yet she still couldn't control it. It reminded her of the one time Caleb and Tyler were fighting over her once again in the front yard and she lost it causing a bunch of plants to explode basically. She had been able to tame it for a while since then..
But this was different. This time she was the one fighting for someone. Now she knew how Caleb had felt. Like he was loosing the one he had loved to someone new.... She shook the thought and closed her eyes as she sat there in silence on her knees.

Something struck her when Tyler set fire to the leaves. A heavy sadness settled over her. She wasn't sure why, or how it came about. She watched the flames flicker, casting an odd glow in the sunlight. She was transfixed, licking her lips slowly as she watched. She hadn't even noticed Kyla passing by until the bushed burst into fire as well.
Jumping a little, she watched a little frightened as Kyla took care of the bushes, quelling the fire. She had gripped Tyler's arm in fear and now she let go quickly. She wanted to go up to the other girl and ask if she was all right but thought that she might only cause further problems... Brow furrowing, she sucked on her lower lip, worried.
This all sucked.

Everyone was so silent now. He watched the leave burn, his eyes never moving until Kyla walked past him, putting the rake and gloves away. He wanted to call out to her, but told himself not to. It was pure instinct to check up on her, he had.. still.. had.. Why was this so damn confusing! He let out a soft groan, but was suddenly cut short as Shae gripped at his arm.
His eyes looked to her, and then back to Kyla as she was on her knees infrtont of the bushes. Kyla.. His head turned back to Shae as she let go. Shae.. He took in a long breath, grabbing at the rake roughly and heading to the shed to put it away without a word.
If it's the silent treatment, then do be it!
