Rebecca was sitting at a park bench, thoroughly exhausted. It had taken a great deal of hitch hiking and effort in order to get to this city. a city where there were people who would accept them. Rebecca wiped the little amount of black hair she had out of her eyes.
The cool breeze of the wind dried up the great deal fo sweat she had. It did nothing for the travel worn look of her clothing. Nor did it help at all with the mud on her boots. Rebecca scowled, hating the fact that she didn't look nice but it couldn't be helped. at least ti was one of Rose's outfits that had been destroyed.
"One of my favorite outfits too." Rose said to Rebecca although Rebecca was too tired to even jump in surprise at Rose's sudden appearance. "But I forgive ya since ya look as exhausted as hell." Rose crossed her arms, looking at her twin with red eyes. Rose was odd looking but pretty, with short white hair as short as Rebecca's was now. In fact, Rebecca's hair was only that short because she had reached a compromise with Rose so Rose wouldn't dye her hair different colors every couple of days if she possessed her.
Yes, possessed, because Rose didn't have a body. rose didn't even get to be born and blamed Rebecca for it slightly even though she hadn't even been conscious at that time. Oh well, it wasn't good to get angry at her. But Rebecca did glare at Rose for her comment since she didn't need Rose's forgiveness. She gripped tightly the small black backpack that carried all that belonged to them. the very little stuff that did belong to them.
Rebecca would respond back but she was too tired. Not to mention, they were in a public place. When they were in private and maybe found that place, the school for mutants. Rebecca didn't really know the name for it and didn't really care. She really needed to get there before Rose decided to take her over again and go exploring. Rebecca didn't like waking up with bruises on her face. Currently though, Rebecca fine skin wasn't at all blemished with any bruises.

Tyler was just taking a stroll, it was a beautiful day, and it showed in Central Park. Ducks were swimming in the pond, dogs barking, birds chirping. He smiled, seeing the bench Kyla and him were sitting on a few nights ago.
There was a girl there, though she looked worn down and tired. His brows furrowed together as he stared. Sometimes he wish he had the ability to read thoughts, or sense feelings. Maybe then he would know who was mutant, and who wasn't.
He shrugged, putting his hands in his jean pockets. For october, it was rather chilly out, thankfully, he was wearing a long sleeved shirt. He strolled over towards the bench, though he wasn't sure what to say to the girl.
Finally approaching her, he searched his mind of something to say, and yet all he came up with was "Are you okay?" Yeah, how lame was that? Not that he was trying to hit on the girl. No, he had Kyla now. Practically the best thing that's happened to him since his little brother being born.

Rebecca smiled at the man who spoke to her asking if she was alright. She looked at him with her chocolate brown eyes, doing her best to ignore her sister. "I am fine, thank you for asking." Rebecca told him "I just traveled a long way. I do not even know how to get around this city." It was only pure luck Rebecca had managed to find the park. Luck and the fact Rose had felt particularly helpful.
" Ya know... He's pretty handsome." Rose said, checking the man out and ignoring her sister's disguised distressed looks. Rose loved worrying her sister and causing her discomfort. She just found it fun and something to relieve her boredom. after all, she was stuck with Rebecca since Rebecca had her cells. "I think he may be taken or gay though, no one ignores our looks that easily." It was true, they may nto look completely nice right now but Rebecca and Rose were aware they were beautiful. Rose accented the beauty and made it strange. Rebecca tried to hide her beauty and fit in.
Rebecca sighed and kept herself from shaking her head in front of the man. Instead, she started to try and make herself look nicer. She finger combed her hair, too lazy to get the brush out of her bag and brushed off her outfit a bit. "Sorry I look like such a mess." Rebecca told him "I had to hitch hike and bus here." Rebecca's very dirty appearance came from falling in a mud puddle... Ok, not a mud puddle but close to it and she slowly got this dirty.
"Re, stop bein neurotic." Rose told her sternly. "Ya don't want to look weird." Rebecca couldn't resist rolling her eyes at Rose and Rose stuck out her tongue at Rebecca childishly. It was a bit of a running joke between them. sometimes Rose would comment something against her nature. for example, Rose liked acting weird and made herself look as unusual as possible. Then they had to tease each other overly much and act child-like. It was funny since Rebecca was super smart.

He smiled softly and sat down next to her. "Your welcome." He let out a soft laugh, that didn't last long. "New huh? I'm a born and raised New Yorker, if you need help with directions to somewhere, I'm your guy." He smirked.
He noticed the roll of her eyes, but ignored it. "I'm Tyler by the way." He smiled over at her. "By the way, you don't look that bad." He couldn't help but smile at her.
He was a laid back, easy going guy. Which apparently meant that others could walk all over him, but they were dead wrong. Besides, whenever there was real trouble that he couldn't handle, he'd change form and run.
His mind kept bouncing to different memories for some odd reason. The first time he met Kyla, seeing those bouncy curls. A smile crept to his face. He never felt this way about anyone before.
He turned back to her. "So, what's your name?"

"That is great!" Rebecca said with a smile, leaning back against the bench. "And yes, I do need help with directions." Rebecca looked at him, her brown eyes seeming to completely analyze him in that one moment before she seemed to realize he was trust worthy.
"But that can wait for a bit." Rebecca told him honestly "I can not really walk that much yet." Rebecca generally would move more and be more social but it was hard to do so when your legs felt like they were made of lead. It would be the same with Rebecca's arms but her backpack wasn't that heavy.
"I do look quite bad right now." Rebecca told him as though he was silly. "You know it, I know it and everyone who passes through this park knows it. But thank you for saying i don't look that bad Tyler."At the last part, Rebecca grew quiet and smiled softly at him.
"Does Rebecca have a crush?" Rose asked right in Rebecca's ear, causing her to jump slightly, at least she was starting to get better in the few minutes of rest. "Or are ya just happy ta have someone talk ta ya?" Rose was bored and Rebecca was ignoring her. So she was being a bit more vindictive then usual with bothering Rebecca in front of people.
Rebecca gave a bit of a glare that told Rose to shut up to where Rose was. Then she turned to Tyler. "Sorry about that, ignore my random bits of seeming insanity." Rebecca told him "My name is Rebecca." Rebecca always appreciated new people, specially friendly new people that were willing to be friends with her even when she seemed to be rolling her eyes at nothing and stuff.

Tyler nodded. "I completely understand." He remembered walking up the hill to Biella. That wore him out pretty bad. Just thinking about it made him a little tired. He let out a soft laugh as she told him she did look a mess.
"It's just the wear and tare of travel." He pointed out. He leaned back, and looked up at the cloud-filled sky. Fall in New York was always beautiful. With the red, orange and yellow leaves falling to the ground.
As she told him to ignore her random bits of seeming insanity, he let out a soft chuckle. "It's fine, we all have our days." He smiled. "Rebecca, nice to meet you." He outstretched his hand to her.

"Ya better." Rose told the man, seeming to ignore the fact that Tyler couldn't hear her. She even moved closer to him in a threatening manner. "Otherwise Rebecca will stop talkin ta ya. Right Re?" Rose looked at Rebecca almost as though to ask her to agree with her.
Rebecca still had to ignore Rose because Tyler did not know and speaking to air was weird. Though she bet Tyler was feeling a sudden heated air. Rebecca noticed that Rose was hot instead of cold like most ghosts, probably because of her fire powers. "I am glad." Rebecca told him "I would not want to appear completely like a wimp."
Oddly enough, Rebecca was a great deal stronger then she looked. But she still had issues like this which Rebecca assumed was a mental thing. "That's true..." Rebecca said to Tyler about the dirty clothing issue. "But I'm still a mess." There was no argument against that though she smiled in appreciation at his continued argument at that.
"Ya, ya look like ya went through a dust tornado." Rose informed her. "Only, instead ya rolled on mud in it." Rose was very blunt, honest and somewhat insulting. Which is why she wasn't at all surprised when Rebecca looked away from her and pretended Rose wasn't there again.
Rebecca was going to argue against Tyler's statement about days but then decided against it. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Rebecca told him, raising her cool hand to shake his. "Do you happen to know where Rosewood is?" Rebecca was taking a risk there, hpefully, he was a local who didn't know about the house or was a mutant like her. If he wasn't either, she would let Rose posess her and burn him. That or fight.
Rose followed Rebecca's body language instructions and went nearer. She wanted to fight but she hoped he was an ally for Rebecca. She hoped for it so much that rose couldn't wish like usual for chaos.

He smiled, letting out a soft laugh. "If you say so." He said, shaking his head lightly. "You don't look like a wimp." He laughed. "I think you look like you could take a punch or two." He smirked. "Pleasure to meet you too." He nodded.
So, she was looking for rosewood. He nodded. "I see." He smiled softly. "Your in luck then." He pointed out. "I happen to know exactly where it is." He smiled. He leaned in a bit, making sure no one else heard what he was going to say. "And the fact that I'm also mutant helps as well."
Sitting back to where he first was, he turned to her and pointed. "It's only about four blocks that way, and up a small hill." He told her. "I would take you myself..." He trailed off. "But, I have plans with my girlfriend."

Rebecca smiled and gave him a rather small bow. "Thank you." Rebecca told him for the combination of complimenting her and telling her where Rosewood was. "I would've been lost without your help."
"I woulda helped ya ya know..." Rose said grouchily near Rebecca. then she seemed to turn a bit further away from either of them as though what she said next was uncomfortable to her. "Tell him i say thank ya." Rose was a bit happier because Rebecca was looking at her. Since the man was a mutant, they could be a bit more relaxed, though they still didn't trust him that much.
"I know you would've Rose." Rebecca told Rose rolling her eyes, realizing that it must be weird for the man to be hearing one side of a whole conversation. "And I'll do that." Rebecca had a funny grin on her face, it was half revenge grin and half soft grin.
"My sister Rose says thank you as well." Rebecca told him then stood up, brushing her pants and actually able to stand now with a bit of wincing. "We'll be off, after all, you wouldn't want to be late for your date with your girlfriend. Bye." Rebecca started to head off, doing a good job at keeping herself upright but still in pain. Fortunately, only four blocks and a small hill to go...
Rebecca groaned at the thought, with Rose's laughter echoing in her ears. The duo began the trek to Rosewood, their new home.
