Oh.Every Mile a MemoryThere they were.
Andrew and Taegan. Andy and Tae. It was different, but... nice. It was good to walk around New York with her, catching up on everything that had happened to them, and talking about old times.
"So, what do you want to do?" He asked, as they walked through Rockefeller center. "There's tons of food, lots of parks. Most famous is central park. I go there to write, and run, and think." He sighed. "There's a few clubs that let in minors, and then there's the Mutant headquarters downtown..." He was rambling, and he knew it.
"Sorry, I'm rambling." He muttered, as he turned around and walked backwards. "It's just... every time I look at you, I think of that day..." He spoke softly. "Two, actually. The day my mom died, and the day I left." Sighing, he turned around and got back into step with her.
"So, what about you? What about Tae, huh? What's been going on in your life?"

"So, what do you want to do?" He asked, as they walked through Rockefeller center. "There's tons of food, lots of parks. Most famous is central park. I go there to write, and run, and think." He sighed. "There's a few clubs that let in minors, and then there's the Mutant headquarters downtown..."
Taegan walked next to him a smile plastered across her face. It was something to be in New York city, but it was another thing to be in New York city with your best friend. She felt the same vibes pulsating off of Andrew as he kept speaking not stopping for quite some time. By the time he did he was walking backwards in front of her.
"Sorry, I'm rambling."
A small giggle escaped her lips as she looked up at his goofy grin that was disappearing as he continued to talk and walk backwards. "It's just... every time I look at you, I think of that day..." He spoke softly. "Two, actually. The day my mom died, and the day I left."
Her smile dissolved as he sighed and walked back into step with her. Finally it was her moment to talk. She slipped her hand into his and smile softly up at him. "Hey, I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere." She looked down at the ground as they continued to walk with no certain destination.
"As far as what I want to do it doesn't matter to me... I could go for food or anything really. As long as I'm with you." She stopped herself from saying anything else that sounded cheesy. "So, what about you? What about Tae, huh? What's been going on in your life?"
"Same ole same ole... I suppose. Still haven't seen my family and I don't care too. By on the brightside I did just reconnect with this amazing writer. And an amazing friend...you might have heard of him Andrew Smith?" She smirked up at him pushing him playfully and finally letting go of his hand as much as she didn't want to.
"What about you? How many girlfriends did you have to fight off to come out with me tonight?" She asked playfully.

"Hey, I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere."
"Good," He paused, smirking over at her. "Because if you left, I might just have to kill you." He chuckled, bumping into her slightly. It felt like old times. The only thing they were missing was Ryan and Jake.
"As far as what I want to do it doesn't matter to me... I could go for food or anything really. As long as I'm with you."
He felt a blush creeping up, and quickly shook his head as he tried to laugh it off. "Alright, uh... There's a few really good restaurants, and pizza places. So, what are you in the mood for?" He asked softly, looking back at her. She really had changed, she wasn't that scrawny little girl he knew all those years ago. Now, she was this beautiful... girl, his best friend.
"Same ole same ole... I suppose. Still haven't seen my family and I don't care too. But on the brightside I did just reconnect with this amazing writer. And an amazing friend...you might have heard of him Andrew Smith?"
He laughed out loud, shaking his head. "Shut up, I'm not that good." He smirked. "Sorry, though. About, y'know, your family. That's gotta be rough. I talk to Mathew and Claudia once every two weeks." He paused then. "Not so much my dad. But, y'know." He sighed. "I'm a momma's boy." He grinned.
"What about you? How many girlfriends did you have to fight off to come out with me tonight?"
His brows furrowed then. "Um," He laughed softly. "None?" He shook his head. "I mean, I've liked some, but... I don't know, they don't notice me, I guess. Or, I'm too busy with my nose in a book." He shrugged.

"Good," He paused, smirking over at her. "Because if you left, I might just have to kill you."
She shook her head. "Oh no dear Andy I think you forget who used to win all those times we al used to wrestle. Yeah, that's right I was the champion. Ryan and Jake would always cry about getting beat up by a girl... and you...well you never used to say anything and who knew what you would be thinking about." She giggled. "Probably something about how good I was at kickin' ass." She smirked.
"Alright, uh... There's a few really good restaurants, and pizza places. So, what are you in the mood for?"
Her face grew hot as she began to blush for saying something so stupid and cheesy. Shaking the thought she thought about what she wanted to eat. "I could go for something from a resturant I have been living off fast food and pizza for weeks. Pretty soon I'm going to start getting fat, and then how will I dance?" She shook her head. "Not easily I suppose." She laughed.
"Shut up, I'm not that good." He smirked. "Sorry, though. About, y'know, your family. That's gotta be rough. I talk to Mathew and Claudia once every two weeks." He paused then. "Not so much my dad. But, y'know." He sighed. "I'm a momma's boy."
"That's not what I heard. I heard you were really good. Plus you forget I'm your bestfriend I used to peak over your shoulder when we were younger, and even then you were good." She grinned up at him. Then he had to talk about the family partthat she was trying to avoid.
"It's whatever...." It wasn't. "It's their loss right?" Her's too. "I'm better off without them anyways. 'Cause I got my bestfriend. Andrew Ethan Smith." She shook her head proudly. "Yeah I remembered your middle name." She snickered. "Um," He laughed softly. "None?" He shook his head. "I mean, I've liked some, but... I don't know, they don't notice me, I guess. Or, I'm too busy with my nose in a book."
"No way. Aw man, that's surprising. Well not the nose in a book part of course." She punched his shoulder lightly. Was he still a virgin? Had he had any girlfriends since she last saw him? Why did she care? Shaking all the questions she had she focused all her attention back on him. "By the way...I say we have an all nighter old horror film marathon one night soon. If it's one thing I do miss it's watching old scary movies with ya." She smiled brightly.
Taegan missed alot of things about him...but some of them she would never be able to admit out loud.

He shook his head as she went on about all those times they were wrestling and how she won. However, it was true that Jake and Ryan would pout about being beat by a girl. But, Andrew was different, he laughed every time it would happen. Because, to him it was cool to see a girl kick a guys ass sometimes... well, all the time. "Doubt you could kick my ass now." He smirked.
"I could go for something from a resturant I have been living off fast food and pizza for weeks. Pretty soon I'm going to start getting fat, and then how will I dance?" She shook her head. "Not easily I suppose."
Andrew just rolled his eyes. "Fat, yeah right. What are you, size 2?" He chuckled. "So you still dance, huh?" He grinned. She was good, and she knew it. Simply because, he told her every time he saw her dance. He could tell she loved it just as much as he loved writing.
"That's not what I heard. I heard you were really good. Plus you forget I'm your bestfriend I used to peak over your shoulder when we were younger, and even then you were good."
He laughed softly. "Oh god, I forgot about that. Every time I'd get in the zone I'd feel your breath on my neck." He grinned. Shrugging a moment later, he pointed out one restaurant. "Good food, has a lil bit of everything. Cheeseburgers, chicken, pasta, yada, yada." He smirked.
"It's whatever... It's their loss right? I'm better off without them anyways. 'Cause I got my bestfriend. Andrew Ethan Smith." She shook her head proudly. "Yeah I remembered your middle name."
He smiled softly. "I can still see right through you, Tae." He mumbled. "No contact on your part, or theirs?" He asked lightly. "As for the middle name..." He rolled his eyes. "That'll be enough Miss Taegan Jade Rowlins." He grinned
"No way. Aw man, that's surprising. Well not the nose in a book part of course."
He scoffed, before laughing softly. "How is any of that surprising?" He asked, head tilting to the side. Shaking his head, one hand pushed into his jean pocket. "I think my smarts run them off," He muttered. "That, and when I'm nervous, I tend to babble." He smirked.
"By the way...I say we have an all nighter old horror film marathon one night soon. If it's one thing I do miss it's watching old scary movies with ya."
He nodded. "Of course. We'll hit up Blockbuster later on." He chuckled, bumping into her once more. He missed those too. The long nights on the couch with her watched Friday the thirteenth or Nightmare on Elm Street, or some other gorey horror movie. But, he missed other things too. Like how when he was worried about something, they'd talk it out, and it would make him feel completely better.
But more than anything, he missed her.
