Don't give a fuckKeep Away - Godsmack <3Today, was a long series of fucking son of a bitch's coming from Kiera's mouth. First, she over slept, completely didn't hear the alarm. Then, some idiot dumped hot coffee on her on his way out of Starbucks. Which then sent a tidal wave of curse words coming from her as she stormed back home to change. After getting a nice shower, and new clothes, she was permanently stuck in 'I don't fucking care' mode today. Pulling the door open to The Lone Wolf, she growled fiercely, turning a few heads as she walked in. Her purse was slammed on the counter in the back room as she took off her jacket. Which, gave her a problem seeing as her zipper got stuck on her shirt. " Fuck. Fuck. FUCK!" She said loud enough to where costumers could hear her. Throwing the coat on the floor she jumped on it, looking like a three year old having a temper tantrum. But she didn't give a flying fuck, seeing as the gods or, powers that be had totally fucked her all day. " Fucking... god damn... day... UGH!" She groaned, walking out and towards the bar. Sliding in, she grabbed a free rag and threw it over her shoulder. "Kiera, can I get a jim on the rocks?" A man asked, leaning against the counter. " Why fucking not, Jimmy." She smiled over at him, though her temper was flared. " STOP leaning on my counter!" She yelled back, scaring the man close enough he nearly fell.

When he was awoken by the sharp sound of his bedroom door slamming closed, Badr knew something was wrong. Lucianna never woke him up unless there was an emergency. Especially when she knew he had been in his fur the night before. He gave a short grunt and buried his face further into his pillow, feeling the ache in his muscles settle in further. "Lucianna," he muttered. It came out like a growl.
"Well sorry, your Highness!" the teenager shot back. "I just thought you might like to know that your bar opened without you a few hours ago."
"What?" he barked out. Things were still fuzzy, most of his brain was still stuck in wolf-mode, running on emotion. "Who the fuck opened it?" He sat up then, turning and pulling on last night's jeans from the floor.
"I did!" Lucianna answered, hand on a hip. "I figured if you had slept this long you probably needed it. Anyway, Kiera just walked in but something's tied to her tail -- she's a right bitch. You should probably get down there before she slams Jimmy's head through the counter."
Badr rolled his eyes but nodded. "Yeah, yeah," he replied, tugging a tee-shirt over his head and stepping into his boots. Scrubbing a hand through his hair, he paused at the doorway, locking his eyes on Lucianna's. "Next time I sleep past opening you either wake me up or let the damn bar stay closed, all right?" His tone was stern but there was something close to a smile playing at his lips.
Lucianna rolled her eyes and snapped off a salute. "Yes, sir," she drawled before moving back through the hall to her bedroom. Sighing, Badr made his way down the stairs and into the Lone Wolf's backroom. Without stopping, he headed for the bar and the first thing he saw was Kiera, slamming things around as she filled orders. Monday sat in a corner behind the counter, haunches up and her tail flicking back and forth. "Whoa, whoa, whoa," Badr said, moving to Kiera. Putting a hand to her shoulder, he asked, "What the hell is wrong, Kier?"
Immediately, Monday moved to him, twisting through his feet and meowing. He ignored his cat for the moment though and focused on his bartender.

"Fucking... retarded.... sons of a bitches." She muttered.
"I'm sorry, Kiera." Jimmy replied back, taking a seat and making sure to never put his body on the counter ever again. Kiera grunted in reply, filling his order and sliding it towards him roughly, some of it spilling onto the counter. Filling another she growled, slamming the bottle back down after filling the glass with gin.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa,"
Badr. Just what she needed. Her eyes flicked to him but she kept moving. "What the hell is wrong, Kier?" She felt his hand on her shoulder and instinctively she brushed it off. Any other time she would love to have his hand on her shoulder. But not today, just not now. Sighing, she stopped what she was doing and looked up at him. "I have been fucked." She stated, lips in a thin line.
"All fucking day." With that being said, she went back to filling the order and slid the glass over to the customer. "She's scary, Badr." Jimmy quipped. "You shut up!" Kiera snapped back.

"I have been fucked." She stated, lips in a thin line. All fucking day."
Badr's brow furrowed as he listened, arms crossed over his chest. At Jimmy's comment he couldn't help chuckling softly, sending the man a smirk. "Yeah, why d'you think I keep her around, huh? Keeps the likes of you in line at my bar."
Kiera's reaction was less understanding though and Badr sighed. Clearly something had fucked her day up hard. Nodding, Badr jerked his head, indicating for her to follow him as she moved to the backroom. Once they were in the privacy of that area, her leaned against the far wall, arms still crossed. "Now, you can tell me why you're so pissed off today or not, but either way I can't have you entirely eating the heads off our customers. All right?"
Kiera was lucky he trusted her so well, relied on her as much as he did. Anyone else, he would have chewed them out and it would have been much, much worse.

Ain't it funny"Yeah, why d'you think I keep her around, huh? Keeps the likes of you in line at my bar."Despite the mood she was in, she smirked at that. Shaking her head a moment later, her brows furrowed as she looked down at a bottle she had slammed just a moment ago. Oh fuck. She winched, watching the vodka seep out. Grabbing the top of it, she picked it up, eyes slowly locking with Badr's. Watching him tilt his head to the back room she nodded lightly. Taking a deep breath, she placed the bottle on top of her rag and walked behind him to the back room. "Now, you can tell me why you're so pissed off today or not, but either way I can't have you entirely eating the heads off our customers. All right?"She chewed on her bottom lip, hand on her hip. " Okay." She sighed out. She dropped her hand and began to cross her arms over her chest. " It's stupid. I know it is, but this week..." She growled lightly. " It's little things that seem to build up into this gigantic... " She shook her head, looking down.

He shook his head a little as she gave her reasoning for the piss-mood. "S'all right," he told her. "Happens to the best of us." Grinning, he ran a hand over his hair. What could he do to remedy this? He could offer a bunch of stupid, cliche little lines. Tomorrow is another day. Just get through one day at a time. At least it can't get any worse. None of those would really help Kiera though, he knew. They were mostly bullshit after all.
Sighing, he cracked his back briefly and asked, "D'you wanna just go home?" he asked. "I mean, I can keep it covered without you. Can mope in your own company and without having to deal with shitty customers, hmm?" he offered, smirking lightly.
He wasn't sending her home, telling her to leave or anything like that. Just giving her the opportunity to, if that's what she wanted.

"S'all right," he told her. "Happens to the best of us."
Yeah, she knew he would say that. A hand went to her head as it nodded. "Right. I know. I shouldn't of flipped on Jimmy. Most of what has me in this mood is from a... fucking idiot spilling coffee all over me." She huffed out a sigh, rolling her eyes slightly.
"D'you wanna just go home?" he asked. "I mean, I can keep it covered without you. Can mope in your own company and without having to deal with shitty customers, hmm?"
She sighed, locking eyes with him. "No," She answered softly. "Despite some of it's more... outrageous costumers, I love this place. I love working here and with you." She paused. "I really don't want to go home to a dog." She smirked. "Let me stay?" She asked, raising a brow.
"I'll... apologize to Jimmy if I have to." She tacked on.

He pulled a face as he told her what had happened earlier in that day. "Fucking idiot," he repeated, agreeing with her. "Did you give him hell?" he asked, sure that she had. Kiera wasn't the kind of girl to just let things slip by.
He grinned as she spoke and nodded. "Sure, Kier. Not sending you home with your tail between your legs or anything." He ruffled her hair softly. "'Sides, this place loves you back." He gave her a genuine smile, before pushing off from the wall, making his way toward the doorway.
"I'll... apologize to Jimmy if I have to."
He hummed, thinking it over a minute. After that brief moment, he shook his head and shot her a grin and a wink. "Nah, fuck Jimmy," he told her before moving back out to the counter. The customers looked angry that they had had to wait so long for their orders but one glare from Badr had solved that. Monday leapt onto the counter and Badr ran a hand over the velvet back of his cat. "All right, people," he called out nonchalantly. "You're gonna have to be especially polite today. My bartender isn't in the mood for any shit from any of you assholes. And I'm not in the mood for cleaning blood off my bar's floor.
There was a general rustle of agreement and understanding that had Badr chuckling.

I got thang for you, baby"Fucking idiot," he repeated, agreeing with her. "Did you give him hell?"
She tilted her head at him, with a smirk. "Y'know me." She couldn't hold the laughter as he came spilling out. "He was on his cell with his... I don't know, but I cussed him to hell and back, and then..." She smirked. "Let's just say payback... burns." She grinned.
"Sure, Kier. Not sending you home with your tail between your legs or anything." He ruffled her hair softly. "'Sides, this place loves you back."
She smiled up at him, swatting him away as he ruffled her hair. "Good to know." She replied quickly. She'd been working here... well, since the opening. Ever since then, she looked to Badr as the leader he was, and... secretly loved him. Sighing out a moment as she watching him head for the door. It'll ever be returned. She told herself.
"Nah, fuck Jimmy,"
She laughed softly, shaking her head. No words needed to be said to that. She never wanted to apologize really, but knew it was a nice offering. After a moment of losing herself in her thoughts, she pushed back towards the bar.
"All right, people, You're gonna have to be especially polite today. My bartender isn't in the mood for any shit from any of you assholes. And I'm not in the mood for cleaning blood off my bar's floor."
Kiera held her head down as she tried to hide the laughter that wanted to break through. After a few moments she moved towards the bar. Looking up and around the place she smirked at how everyone obeyed his order. "What'll it be, Johnny?" She asked, looking at him, one brow raised. "Coke and jack... please, Miss Kiera."
She smiled, looking down a moment before turning around and filling his order.

Badr grinned a dark grin when Kiera assured him that she had given the asshole hell. "Good," he told her. He laughed, entertained and shook his head. Gotta admire that kind of... he didn't even know what to call it; spunk? Moxie? Whatever you'd call it, you had to admire it in Kiera.
Badr watched on approvingly as Johnny took his words to heart and was exceptionally polite. Fuck if that didn't make him a little proud of himself. Sure, he might hate the life but he had successfully established himself as Alpha. Leaning on the counter, toward Kiera, he gave her a smile. "See that? Maybe your day is just on its way to getting better, huh?"
He cared about his bartenders. Something like... Well, it was weird. Lucianna was his surrogate daughter/little sister. And he felt the same sort of protectiveness for Kiera. But he would never call her his sister... There was...something else. Something he was keeping safe and hidden and close and guarded. Something he certainly didn't understand.

She made Johnny's order, sliding it over to him before heading to the vodka bottle that was sitting on her rag. It definitely wreaked like alcohol. Throwing the rag into a pile of rags that needed washed she put the bottle in the drain. "I'll pay for that." She said, looking over at Badr.
"See that? Maybe your day is just on its way to getting better, huh?"
She smiled, looking out at the crowed of customers as she readied another order. "Maybe." She said softly. "Monday, you gonna give me some luck?" She asked, looking over at the cat with a light smile.
She knew the only reason things were taking a turn for the better was because of badr. She thanked him for it. As she wiped the counter down she looked back at him. "So.." She paused, throwing the rag over her shoulder, turning to him and laying a hand on her hip.
"Am I the only tender here tonight? You just enjoying your break?" She asked with a smirked, merely joking with him of course.

As she hefted the broken bottle, Badr only shrugged. "Don't worry about it. We lose more on those nights that one of the pups out there decides to start a bar fight." And it was true. He could afford to let one bottle of vodka go. Besides, he didn't need to add to her bad day.
The cat meowed when she was addressed and just continued to lick at her paw, regal eyes regarding the bar before her. Chuckling a little, Badr tickled Monday under the chin before lifting her into his arms and petting her regularly, leaning against the back of the bar. "So... Am I the only tender here tonight? You just enjoying your break?" Badr sent her a smirk and shook his head. Allowing Monday to jump out of his arms and pad to the backroom, he moved toward Kiera. "Oh, s'that how it is?" he asked grinning.
"Damn, Badr, you better watch it," one of the regular customers, Dave said laughingly. "Else Kiera will be running the place and you'll be takin' orders." Badr smirked, laughing along with him. "Yeah, I don't doubt that, huh?" he replied, fixing the man's usual. "I already can't hardly say 'no' to the bitch, y'know?" He sent a sideways glance to Kiera, knowing that she would pretend to be outraged with him at that.
