"Aurelia, honey. Why don't you leave Molly here?[/i]"
Aurelia shook her head, her little brows furrowed as a frown set on her face, hugging Molly close to her chest. The woman sighed, but kept a smile on her face, before nodding. "Okay then, come on.[/i]"
Aurelia looked to the van that everyone was being piled into. Her eyes met with a boy she knew well, and a small smile graced her face as she climbed inside and sat beside him. She didn't know where they were going, but she was glad to get out of that house.
As the door slid close, she looked out, wondering if this was like that last time she was put in a car. Was she going to be taken to a new home again? Then her mommy and her daddy crossed her thoughts. She didn't understand. Where were they? Did they not love her anymore?
The boy smiled. "Don' wowwy. We goin' to da park!" He exclaimed with a nod. Aurelia grinned, but then her brows furrowed. What was a park? She had never been to a park. "Wha's a pawk?" She asked, looking over at the boy.
"Eets dis pace were joo can pay." He informed her with a smile. Aurelia's face lit up. She liked playing. Hugging Molly close, her eyes drifted to the window as the car came to a stop.
"Okay, kids. Stay close.[/i]" The woman said to them as she ushered them out of the van and into the park. Aurelia had never seen anything like it. There was sooooo many people here. It was soooo sunny and soooo pretty here.
"Stay in the field where I can see you okay?[/i]" The kids cheered and started running off in different directions. Some of them making teams and playing games. But, Aurelia just stood there. The woman crouched down beside her and placed a hand on her back. "It's okay, honey. Go ahead. Go play.[/i]" Aurelia gave her a tentative look before slowly stepping away.
Not merely a foot away from her was a small path of wildflowers. Smiling bright, Aurelia walked over and laid down in the middle of it, holding Molly close.
The sky was so blue. Reaching up with a hand she tried to grab at the clouds.
