Rogue is reserved at most times, but being deprived of attention can make you do things you wish you wouldn't. Being that her powers make her more or less sucluded, doesn't help matters much.
Being the way Rogue is, she tends to stutter when talked to, mutter and randomly blurt things out just so she can hear her own voice. It's not about being snotty, it's about gaining someone's attention. In her eyes, she sees it as a sign that she has a reason to go on.

detailed history,
Rogue was born as Sage Nicole Dalton on August 18th, 1991. Born to Roger and Christina Dalton, she showed signs of power the moment she was brought into the world. Not knowing what to do, they dropped her off at a children's shelter moments after leaving the hospital. They didn't want to bother with having a mutant child.
Despite her parents, Sage grew up into a beautiful little girl. At the age of seven, she learned something new about her powers, if she touched anyone, she could sense what they were feeling and thinking, and in that time, she would render them unconscious.
Not knowing her own strength, one day she touched a teacher, killing her instantly. From that moment on, the shelter began putting her into seclusion. No visitors, no people.. Just Sage.
At the age of fifteen, she promised to keep her hands to herself if they would let her out, making the deal - she quickly learned how cruel the world could be.
Those who teased and picked on her quickly gave her the nickname of rogue. She was an outcast, a loner. Someone no one bothered to pay attention to.
At Seventeen, she met a young man by the name of Gavin, and feel head over heels for him. Swept up by romance, and hormones, she kissed him. Putting him into a deep coma.
Frightened at the sight of him, she began to scream. Teachers ran in and quickly ran to his die, three days later - he was dead.
So she left, figuring it'd be easier on her own than at the shelter. Packing a bag, she quickly grabbed a job at a cafe. Learning that she could stop the interaction if she had something over her hands - like gloves.
Five months passed and she was introduced to Adrian Hunt, the leader of the exclusive Anti's, once she told him her story, he quickly recruited her.
Working for the Anti's meant business for her, blood business that is. One late night at a bar, she realized that her death toll was way more than what she realized. Grabbing a pen, and asking for a paper, she began to make a list.
After counting them all up, she came to the conclusion of over fifty mutants died by her hands, or hand have you. Realizing this, she wanted out immediately.
Though, getting out was not as easy as she had hoped. She was traced for months, finally the Anti's believed she would be no harm to them, and left her be.
To this day, she still wishes she knew more who were like her.. Until then, she's semi-happy with her routine.
