detailed personality, Dylan is usually a very happy go-lucky guy. He's mostly quiet, lost within his own world of music and sensations. When he does talk, though, it's intelligent and easy-going. He doesn't let his impairment hinder him ever, in anyway. In fact, because of it, he tends to try a little harder and go a little further.
He's a kind, caring guy. He genuinely loves the people in his life, especially his father and little sister. Being a musician, he is very romantically inclined. He's generally low-rent and down-to-earth, but he loves putting on a show to make a girl feel good about herself.

detailed history,
Louis Roberts was heavy into classic rock. Everyone from Zeppelin to The Rolling Stones to The Clash. But first and foremost Bob Dylan. A musician himself, Louis had plans to raise his children to be full of an appreciation for good music, especially Bob Dylan. And when his son was born, he paid tributr to his idol and named the boy Dylan.
With parents such as his (both composers, musicians and his mother a dancer to boot) there was no doubt Dylan would be musically inclined. He played every instrument he could get his hands on. His favorite was the piano, followed by guitar. He played everything: rock, jazz, classical, rhythm, blues, country even. All of his spare time was spent playing and, once he was old enough, composing to his parents' delight.
When he was twelve, though, tragedy struck. An active child, Dylan was often moving. As it happened, he was climbing a tree in his backyard one day. It was something he did almost everyday but on this particular one, he lost his balance. He slipped from one of the top branches. His mother, watching from the kitchen window, saw him fall the whole way. She rushed to help him, but he was unconscious. When he awoke in the hospital later, he was confused. He couldn't hear. Anything. The fall and subsequent blow to his head had cost Dylan his hearing.
Dylan sunk into a long depression after that. Without music, life was suddenly blank. He could still talk of course, and remained very coherent at that. He learned to read lips and dign, even. But he still couldn't hear. His parents agonized over how to help him and debated over a cochlear implant. Dylan adapted, though. He learned that music could have more than one dimension, more than sound. He could feel the notes strumming through his guitar, moving along the keys of the piano. He learned how to increase the bass and hold the speaker to his heart so it was almost like hearing again.
With a new hold on life, Dylan went back to life as he had. He was happy once again, and making more music than before.
