The sun was out, the sky was clear, and everything seemed perfect today. Which was why, Saikoro hoped that they could walk there instead of taking the car. It was an exciting day; the first day of school for the three little girls. Not to mention, Sai's sight was slowly coming and going and luckily today, it had decided to come. He had already made breakfast for everyone except himself, for he was just too happy to be hungry this morning. He had even let Amarie sleep a little longer than usual. He had just finished placing all of the plates upon the table when Adalina came crashing into his legs. "Addy, you silly girl, one of these days, you're gonna knock me over completely." He chuckled. Adalina just frowned before stomping her foot and crossing her arms. "I do not want to go to school, so there." "Not this again..." He sighed and then shook his head. "Why not? Shay & Molleigh are going. You don't want to be left behind, do you?" "Can we have school here instead?" She asked curiously with a smile. Saikoro smirked and then picked her up and put her on the chair. "Heh, I'll think about it. Now hurry up and eat your breakfast, while I go wake up mommy." He headed upstairs to the bedroom and opened it slowly, poking his head in. "Amarie, love...time to wake up, sweetheart." He said softly before walking over to the bed. "It's the kids' first day of school, remember?"

Shay, for one, was totally excited for school. She was a smart kid, yeah, but there was something about actually going to school that was very... well, exciting. She ha been bouncing around ever since daddy had told her that she would be going to school. She had been sure that she has brushed her hair carefully, and she even ha it in little braids that she had made mommy do last night.
She sat next to Addy, slightly concerned. "Why don't you wanna go to school? It'll be fun!"she exclaimed. "Mommy said so," she explained wisely, as f mommy was always right. Which, in Shay's eyes, she was. "Anywayy, don't you think school will be cool? Because there's other kids!" Shay smiled widely. "If you're scared... I'll be by you," Shay said.
Molleigh, though, didn't quite understand the prospect of 'school'. She didn't want to leave mommy and daddy, and she didn't want to be with other kids. She liked being around people she knew, especially her family. But in another way, Molleigh was almost excited. The only other kids she really saw and interacted with were her family. Maybe school would be good for her?
Amarie was tired. She was like that a lot. So when Sai woke her up, she was Reading to ask for five more minutes. She cracked her eyes open, though, and looked at the clock, realizing he had already let her sleep a little longer than usual. So she decided she better get up--anyway, it was Shay, Addy, and Molleigh's first day of school. Amarie ran a hand through her hair, before getting out of bed reluctantly. "Yeah, I remember," she said, a bit groggily.
Molleigh had crept into the room after Sai, and Amarie picked up the girl and cradled her in her arms. "Hey, honey--you excited? Today's your first day of school, yeah?" she said, smiling at Molleigh before kissing the soft, fine layer of brown curls that covered Molleigh's head. He had a feeling that today was gonna be great.

"School will be scary anyway. Besides, what if those stupid kids are there? And what about Bernie? He'll be home all alone." Adaline pointed out to Shay, spinning her waffles around in the syrup. She had not even gotten dressed yet. She hoped she didn't have to go today. Besides, Molleigh was years younger than them, what if Molly was all alone? Addy worried just about everyone today. She really didn't want to go.
Saikoro bit his lip, shaking away the thought. It seemed easy to imagine Shay & Adalina going to school but was Molleigh really that old? It was slightly hard to stomach. He hadn't thought about that. Maybe they could start Molleigh up next school year? No, he couldn't do that. The three had to go all together. "Heh, it is her first day, isn't it? Kinda...hard to believe." He said nervously. Well, they still had the triplets. He still could watch them grow up like he watched Molleigh.

Shay frowned. Why was Addy so determined to hate school? She hadn't even been yet! "It won't be scary! You could give it a chance, you know," Shay said to Addy, a bit accusingly. Shay was excited for school, and she wanted Addy to be excited too! "Bernie can take care of himself. I was askin' Mommy the other day if we could get another doggy, anyways." Shay said. Mommy hadn't been to enthusiastic about the idea, but she knew that she couldn't just turn down Shay straight out. After remembering that, Shay turned to Sai--"Hey Daddy? Can we get another dog? Pleeeease?"
Amarie smiled. "Yeah, she's growing up too fast." Amarie still had trouble remembering that Molleigh wasn't even technically Sai's kid. She was Cain's. Amarie hadn't seen Cain in a while... Hmm, she might have to do that soon. Sitting up and standing, Amarie lifted up Molleigh and walled into the kitchen. It was breakfast time. "So, you guys excited for school?" she asked, looking from Shay to Addy. "Schoo', Schoo'," Molleigh repeated, giggling.

Saikoro laughed and then shook his head, gently picking Shay up. "Nope, sweetie, we got enough dogs for right now. Maybe next year, okay?" He said before giving her a kiss on the cheek and putting her back down. Addy seemed disinterested in all of this. After all, she was not ready for school.
At loss for one to do, Adalina rushed to hug Amarie's leg "Momma Am, can I stay home with you today? PLEASE?!" She begged, sniffling a little bit. "I don't...I don't feel well today. I should stay home." She put on a little pathetic pout.
