powers,
Microscopic Vision - Ability to magnify vision to various levels. Also he can do a telescopic version but it hurts his eyes a bit.
Photographic Memory - Ability to recall the past with great accuracy and in seemingly unlimited volume.
[glow=red,2,300]Ectoplasmic Generation [/glow]– PRIMARY ABILITY, described in detail:
Ghost’s powers are relatively complicated. He has the ability to produce a semi matter semi energy substance from his orifices and pores. He calls this substance Ectoplasm. It is a pale whitish-green substance. It is part liquid part gas before it solidifies. It is also a form of ‘cold’ energy at the same time. The ectoplasm is usually expelled from his mouth in mass quantity and used from there. He is able to shape it freely for up to 30 seconds after it is expelled. Because it is part energy he is able to manipulate it telekinetically with his mind. He can create an shape complex or simple as long as he is aware of what he is doing ( for example he can’t make a car because he has no idea how to construct one, but a crude moving vehicle is possible or a replacement piece to a car if he sees what shape he is to form).
Once he either wills it or after 30 seconds, the excess gas like particles recede into the shape and the entire construct hardens into a solid form. This means it is a good idea for Ghost to know what he is making before he expels the ectoplasm. Ectoplasm then holds that form for up to 3 hours afterward, at the 3 hour mark the construct quickly unravels and loses its structural integrity, dissolving into a crystalline form not unlike sugar that then blows away in the breeze and evaporates into nothingness.
Now to talk of ectoplasm’s unique properties. Ectoplasm has the ability to copy the molecular and atomical structure of any solid substance it is introduced to while in its liquid-gas-energy state. This means that it copies the structural properties of the object but not all of them. For example, if introduced to steel, it will be as hard as steel and have its malleable properties as well, able to be bent by any force adequate to bend solid steel. It’s density is also similar to the substance it connects with but not its weight. It weighs far less than any substance with its mass should.
In solid form, it is opaquely transparent and shiny with a greenish tint to it.
It also can bond at the molecular level with a particular substance allowing to temporarily fix and bond with a broken object and act similarly to it in this form. For example if a sword was broken in half, Ghost could apply ectoplasm to either broken end of the two halves and shape it into the corresponding broken half. In fact shaping and fixing things is far easier to do than crafting something from his imagination or with his hands because the substance can tap into psychic impressions of objects or beings and can easily shape functional pieces of its own accord with the will of Ghost behind it. That same sword’s two halves could create two fully functional swords of the same shape. This is how it got its name, being able to create ghostly replicas of things. Multiple part machines however are beyond the substances ability to recreate by this method however.
Left to itself to solidify, ectoplasm takes on the structural lattice and hardness of quartz, making it strong and pliable yet slightly brittle. All the objects are just as functional as just as much quartz without a substance to mimic. Ectoplasm is soluble in water and is dissolved in a matter of minutes after being introduced into water. It is immune to heat and fire, meaning it is unaffected by high temperature and is nonflammable. Electricity seems to have the most effect on it however, causing the molecules to separate and dissolve prematurely. It does not conduct electricity in the least. Plasma and various other energies interact with it similarly to the object it is mimicking in all other respects, meaning their direct force.
Now for the energetic properties of it. Ectoplasm glows faintly at all times. Being partially made of energy at all times, ectoplasm gives of an energy signature similar to well radiation and electricity (sort of like a microwave) but does not produce heat, in fact just the opposite, it feels cold. If he gives it enough effort and sufficient force, ectoplasm can harm objects far more than they help. If given the ability to melt and be made more energy than matter, the substance dissolves and evaporates in the same amount of time it would solidify meaning 30 seconds after expulsion. This however strains Ghost’s body a bit and feels highly unpleasant and cannot be done for an extended period of time but can be done several times in rapid succession. This form acts as a caustic energy, melting and eroding instead of exploding or coursing through other things. This form is differentiated by its much brighter glowing
In its solid form, ectoplasm gives off a magnetic field of sufficient enough power to distort and tamper with electrical machines and the like similar to the phenomenon that is accompanied by ghosts themselves.
Ghost is able to expel mass quantities of ectoplasm at a time now after so many years of having his powers. He can also propel the substance out at high speed (160 mph from his mouth in the form of small bullets). He can also shape the substance and harden it on its way out of his mouth or even while still in it and he can command it to dissolve mentally from a distance of 200 feet. While producing ectoplasm from his mouth, Ghost can’t breath but he does not need to exhale while doing it meaning he can keep producing the substance for as long as he can hold his breath. He is also able to push the substance from his sweat glands in a much lesser fashion, allowing him to coat his body in a layer of armor if he wanted to or to produce a temporary senseless extra layer of skin.
Because of his knowledge of the body, Ghost can create fully functional temporary body parts given the concentration. This process is aided by the substance’s ability to mimic psychic impressions.
The substance cannot mimic liquids and is structurally weaker or less beneficial without a substance to mimic. It slowly loses its charge as its life goes along meaning, that the object apparently uses up its energy slowly over a 3 hour span and then falls apart meaning this substance apparently only holds a solid form as long as it has energy in it like a battery. He also can’t move an object telekinetically once it is hardened. Ectoplasm is produced as a ‘solid’ piece and can’t be pulled apart to form multiple pieces, which means that all constructs produced are formed as one singular object, but multiple expulsions can get around this because ectoplasm can fuse to itself no matter what it is emulating, however this would take time and is a process and is then restricted by the 30 second time limit for each expelled mass of ectoplasm.
He can also expel a gaseous version of the substance that is simply shapeable for a short period before it dissipates. This version takes to being super charged with the caustic energy much better than the semi liquid form.
also of note, in its solid form it can't be phased through due to its partial energy makeup. Any one that attempts to do so is harmed by it.
Flying – the ability to fly. He does so at a rather slow speed (about 60 miles an hour at most) comparably but for short distances it is spectacular.
Fortitude - Ability to take more damage and last longer than a normal human.
Psychometry - Ability to relate details about the past and/or future condition of an object, person or location, usually by being in close contact with it. Shown through premonitions. Mostly he has to touch an object and will it’s events of significance to bubble forth in his mind but incredibly strong resonance does so automatically.
Mediumship - Ability to see and hear spirits and ghosts

detailed personality, Adam is a nice, relatively polite, shy young kid from a rich family. Despite what most people tend to think, he doesn't hold himself above others as if he's better than them. He excels at just about everything but he plays it as modest.
Adam is a harsh man. After his expulsion from his surgical residency he has taken on a harder aspect however. He is a nice, if apathetic, person. He believes that mutant kind deserves respect and to be regarded as equals. His apathy and slightly robotic machinations made him an excellent surgeon much of the time.
He is also highly intelligent and capable of leading. It is what has made him an excellent surgeon even at his younger than average age. His intellect is best shown in his medical skill and scientific knowledge. As a resident his interns learned quite well and were the best around in the hospital.
He is friendly enough to those that treat him well in kind and even more sympathetic to those that do not run screaming from him for being a mutant or attempt to show him how they feel towards mutants. He likes talking and getting closer to those that know the pain of being a mutant and being different.
Aside from these as a surgical student not too long ago, he is a bit morbid and different than your average person. He sees injured people as being fun surgeries rather than people (think very Grey’s Anatomy). His humor tends to take on a very morbid tone too it as well, joking about death, injury, and playing god frivolously.
He loves listening to other people's problems and trying to help them through their life but somehow his own advice doesn't penetrate his own life and make it any easier.
He isn’t afraid of a fight but he doesn’t want to have to hurt people with or without his powers. If he does get in a fight he likes to end it as quickly as possible and by subduing his opponent(s) or by just defending himself and not actually striking back. The Hippocratic oath is subjective and discarded outside hospital walls by him, it’s just a weird code for him.

detailed history, Adam Christopher Greyrose was born on July 11th, 1991 in Boston, Massachusetts. His birth was not fantastic in anyway. No twins, no complications. Just a nice routine birth. He was a quiet baby that showed intelligence even at that age, pretending to be asleep seeming to know that it would make the nurses leave him alone if he was sleeping.
He grew up relatively normal for the first few years, he didn’t even seem like he would be a mutant really. He expressed a photographic memory and his imaginary friends took the shape of actual objects but other than that he wasn’t strange to anyone. In fact he was talking to the spirits of objects and occasionally rather friendly ghosts. His monsters under the bed were real. They were spirits of shadows and unhappy ghosts just passing through. His parents just passed it off as normal child behavior and let him be.
Around the age of 5 they put him into gymnastics and he excelled at it and took up tae kwon do a year later for self defense purposes from bullies or ‘strangers’. He was a very good little athlete and got along well with other kids most of the time but at the same time hwas a bit… darker than they were. He was smart and read a lot and retained every bit of information. He watched tv and saw the horribleness of this world, never forgetting it. He was a little cynical and occasionally made other kids cry by accidentally being blatantly honest about he world. He didn’t understand why that was wrong however.
He got into all of those medical shows a lot around young age, about 9 to be exact. Because of his already developed photographic memory, he memorized them and decided he wanted to grow up to be a surgeon. Blood and gore and medicine was exciting and un, not to mention pretty looking. He also saw this as a noble profession. His father was a CEO for a major pharmaceutical and biomedical engineering company and his mother was their corporate lawyer so he was very well off and pieces of that world had always been touching his life so he was no stranger to hearing things about the medical industry. His parents had a few books from college and his father had been premed actually so he had access to his medical school books. Adam read everyone of them in secret, because he figured his parents wouldn’t approve.
Then enter middle school. This was the time they kept talking about your body and how it would be changing. In fact they wouldn’t shut up about it, this giving you ample access to asking questions and reading material about the body. He soaked it up along with everything else. It was also during these years when his powers developed further. He started waking up to find himself floating in mid air above his bed and breathing a strange greenish gas that took the shape of whatever he had been dreaming about.
This of course freaked him out. He had heard stories about mutants and some of the things they could do and how they were also beaten and bashed for being mutants. Humankind was a cruel race and feared the unknown and Adam was more than aware of this fact so he kept these developments to himself. He soon discovered he could push out ectoplasm and he started practicing with it. Getting better and better at it by the day until it was second nature to him. He even practiced flying precisely in his room. That was probably the most difficult ability to get the hang of for him actually. His life was pretty good for a pubescent preteen until 8th grade when a little thug decided to bring a knife to school.
From a few feet away, Adam saw the flash of the switchblade being drawn and without a second's worth of thought, tackled the other boy and started pummeling him into unconsciousness after getting a few slashes across the midsection and having the knife embedded into his shoulder, Adam began pummeling the little thug into unconsciousness and broken bones.
Both boys were whisked off to the hospital and treated. Adam just needed stitches and had to be questioned by the police which didn’t go so well, because he showed little remorse for damn near killing the boy.. They had let him go and see the damage. It enthralled the pubescent Adam. He couldn’t believe what he had done to another human being. He had nearly beaten the boy to death and possibly crippled him for life (the little thug is in a wheelchair still and is trying to regain the ability to walk). He was more than smart enough however to hide the elation from the police.
After the entire ordeal, no charges were pressed against young Adam but he seemed to seclude himself more and more after the incident. It didn’t cross anyone’s mind that he was a mutant, just a boy who had saved the life of a teacher and had taken it a bit too far perhaps. In fact there were two reactions to what he had done by his peers and the adults in his life. Most hailed him as a hero and the others were afraid of him. In fact almost every other student in the school was afraid of what he could do to somebody and frankly so was Adam. It was obvious to him when he looked in their eyes and it just made him pull further away from others out of mutual fear and trying to ‘protect the others’ from himself. It fit right in however really, an 8th grader who became more introverted and drew away from everyone else. It was nothing new really. The only odd part about it was who was secluding himself.
It was after all of this that Adam knew for sure that he wanted to grow into a surgeon. He started spending more time at the library speeding through the medical journals and books. He waited until he was halfway through freshman year to ask to graduate early from high school. His parents and teachers were a little confused by his request seeing as he was 12 at the time (he skipped 3rd grade and then 5th grade again a year later). He was far above the average students scoring straight A’s and perfect grades but they decided to test him to see if he was ready. He was able to nearly ace the exams they set in front of him for this and they had little choice but to allow him to move on out of his private schools in order to continue to grow. He possessed a great amount of knowledge that he could apply practically. He didn’t have anywhere near the super intelligence as mutants with the ability but he was able to soak up knowledge at an accelerated and wondrous rate. He then went on into college, pre-med at Harvard. He could live at home and it was the best school for medical schools in the country so he weaseled his way into the school and kept doing well. In fact well enough to finish in about 3 years (making him 15). His ‘peers’ were actually a little frightened of him because he was a 15 year old that was able to outshow them but he was never a dick about it. In fact once they got over their fear, they actually enjoyed his company and even better his help.
Over all of this time he had been finding the time and opportunity to practice and develop his abilities in private. He was damn good with them by 16 able to sculpt things so finely from his ectoplasm, having gained an eye for art over the years and even picking up sculpting and pottery making to increase his dexterity for surgery not to mention his power. He could also fly pretty well and he had figured out how to coax out spirits from within the objects and substances they hid within. They usually like him because he seemed to understand them and do things for them when and if they asked. His powers were well developed and he was smart and capable and athletic. He had had to give up gymnastics this year too however for what happened after his graduation. He even had trouble in his surgical internship. It was to easy, this was the real world not cadavers but all the same he excelled. His youth made him more capable of staying up for days. His memory made teaching him far easier.
It was also this year that the war happened. This, however, stayed out of. It was not his fight despite his status as a mutant not to mention no one knew of his abilities no one but him at least. He stayed in his school and tried to avoid watching it on tv. He felt bad for not fighting.
His years as a surgical intern were fascinating and filled with several wonderful and difficult surgeries and many deaths as any surgeon’s are. He was viewed as the top intern in his program and was even thought to be the next chief of surgery at any place he ended up at in a few years. He became a resident and went on as the best for just over a year until one day.
This day not too long ago, a man came in utterly mangled in his midsection, and was going to wind up dead. This man was a veteran and he and his wife were happy together and were unable to have children so they had become foster parents. They had two children in their care at the time and he was going to die if something wasn’t done. It was a busy day for the OR that day. This man was damaged from a train wreck and thus there were several other people ahead of him for surgery with other less severe but treatable injuries.
He couldn’t let this man die. He had the power if he would just use it. He asked the wife’s permission to save her husband. He explained that it would be a very unorthodox and different treatment. It would just be temporary fix until they could get her husband into surgery and get him fixed properly. She agreed to it as long as it would save her husband. So in the middle of a crowded ER, behind a curtain, Adam used his ectoplasm to refill this man’s chest cavity and repair his organs for a short time in order to buy him time. He couldn’t give the man much more than that without healthy live organs or machines. The woman and her children were less than prepared and so they screamed in fear and wept with delight as the man’s vitals evened out. He was stable for the time but they had drawn attention to the man behind the curtain, a few nurses and a couple other doctors came to investigate and found the man’s midsection filled with pale greenish ghostly organs. They were working and his blood could be seen flowing in them faintly. They too were unready for this and were frightened as they watched Adam work, releasing more and more of the substance to repair and replace organs to keep this man going until they could do something about it. Given time this man could be repaired.
He was approached by the Chief of Surgery sometime after that to be questioned as to what the hell it was he had done. In anger, Adam responded with “Saved a man’s life. I’m buying him time.” The Chief could not disagree and asked if he could keep doing that. Adam admitted he could but that it was only a temporary fix lasting maybe 3 hours at the most and water would ruin the whole process if it was spilled or flooded any of the constructs. The chief said he understood and asked him to do what it was he could to save these people. Adam used his ability many more times that day. Not all of them lived but the man he had originally used it on, the soldier, he survived the day. It was also this day that Adam learned that electricity destroyed the constructs and made them fall apart rapidly when several of the patients under his care were defibrillated.
However all was not well. A few weeks after that day, several of the nurses and doctors had petitioned for Adam’s removal from the hospital as he was a mutant. Many patients didn’t want to be treated by a mutant either, a few were decent human beings and accepted his help and presence, but many refused once the nurses and doctors gossiped around the patients, unable to keep their filthy mouths shut. The Chief refused to fire a man this useful and capable of keeping his patients alive. The doctors and nurses went over his head then and a month later, 2 months after his revelation of being a mutant, Adam was fired. His one and only dream had been stripped from him because of human beings fear of the unknown. He was enraged and didn’t know what to do with himself.
It was right around this time that the war ended as well so here he was a mutant alone and jobless in the world. He had not gone back home to his parents, afraid that he would just bring hatred to their front doorstep. So he began to look for a place to be. He discovered the mansions that harbored mutants and taught them how to hone their powers and he thought he could help with that so he began to seek one out. It was then that the pain struck.
This pain left him in a stupor for days. His vision would blur and sharpen. Images would rush through his head when he entered a place. Somehow he knew what these images were about and they helped to lead his pain-wracked form to a mansion. He had little memory of this time however somehow this is the only gap in his memory in recent years.
He was lead to the steps of Rosewood. This is where he has been just operating behind the scenes on behalf of Corona. Mostly doing her paperwork and doing minor dissections for his own benefit. When all hell broke loose he stood beside the students and watched. He is now however ready to act. This time he isn’t going to remain silent and hide. This time he will be on the frontlines. This time will be different.

and a splatter of a sample that I made for the char in the first place:
It was snowing outside. Not to the point where school would be closed or anything. It probably wouldn’t even be hazardous to drive around his sports car, but Adam Greyrose sat on his bed looking at the flakes falling gently to the ground. He didn’t dislike snow but he did dislike discomfort and that was something that snow and cold always proved to bring with it in some way. He had lived more than long enough to realize and recall the inconveniences that snow brought with it.
His pants legs would be wet at the bottom and thus give him cold ankles. His car would probably slide around a little bit on the road making him have to be more alert while driving. He’d be cold for the first few minutes he had to spend outside and in the car waiting for it to get warmed up. It would just be a hassle overall to experience it all over again.
He already knew what he was going to do to solve this small problem but he felt a little bad inside for doing it everytime though he’d done it countless times before now.
He fell back on his bed in his tight black boxer briefs and his white t shirt. Flinging his arms back behind him over his head and stared at the ceiling. It wasn’t fair to everyone else he knew because they would have to be putting themselves in the predicament of having to deal with the minor hassle that was winter weather, but he could stay at home all day and have a completely normal day. He could have a personal snow day and no one would be any the wiser.
With a deep breath and a stifled yawn, he conjured up the familiar feelings that came along with his cloning process. He felt the gentle tingle and warmth that seemed to spread from his belly and emanate outwards to every extremity. It was like having a miniature orgasm really and it wasn’t an unpleasant feeling. When the feeling had all but faded into nothingness, Adam sat up and opened his eyes to look at the three clones in front of him. One of them had even gone and sat down in the computer chair across the room.
“Ok boys, normal rules.” He said as he balled up his right fist and placed it in his left palm and looked around as the clones followed suit as they always did.
“1,”
“2,”
“3,”
“Shoot!’
Each Adam spoke in turn and they threw out their respective hand signs after the original spoke for the second time. Three of the Adam’s were holding up two fingers. Scissors. Only the fourth had actually chosen paper and of course that one was the original.
With his hand still flat he closed his eyes and brought it to his face, covering his right eye and some of his forehead.. the universal sign for a facepalm. He had lost and would have to be the one to venture into the snow. “
“Of course. I hate all of you,” he grumbled as he stood up and wandered toward his bathroom to take a shower, less than eager to start his day.
