"Ain't no reason for you to go about and bring Jayjay into this. Or Alyssa, Gage. God damn it." He spewed. "I left for a reason. I didn't want to deal with your sorry excuse for an older brother. Where were you, huh? Where were you when Alyssa needed you most?"
Gage's anger rose quickly, his jaw setting and teeth grinding against each other as he let out a soft growl. Everyone in their family knew not to point fingers, no about this. And yet, here he was, basically saying Gage had done it, in a way. "Lucas..." He growled out the name lowly in his throat.
"I ain't goin' back." He paused, shoving a finger in Gage's face. "And you can't make me." "Okay obviously ya'll have some things to talk about....but here is not the place, and now is not the time."
Gage simply looked past Harleigh at Colt, and sneered. "Don't you dare talk to me in that tone. I ain't Daddy, I ain't gonna take it like a man, and turn the other cheek, Lucas. Y'know that." His eyes landed on Harleigh a moment as she began to talk.
"Now we can settle this the civilized way..." She glanced to Colt. "Or the hard way..." She shot a look at Gage. "And trust me I may be small but I can handle myself buddy."
"This ain't got nothin' to do with you." He said roughly, eyes glaring down at Harleigh. "Now move before you get hurt. I'm only gonna say it once." He warned her. "This is between brothers. He needs an ass kickin for just walkin out on us."

Harleigh stood there. This was something she had no control over, but she was going to make damn sure no one got hurt. She took a deep breath, but stood there knowing this was not a good place for her to be....and yet...there she stood.
"This ain't got nothin' to do with you." He said roughly, eyes glaring down at Harleigh. "Now move before you get hurt. I'm only gonna say it once." He warned her. "This is between brothers. He needs an ass kickin for just walkin out on us."
She raised a brow as if she had been slapped in the face. "Now I know for a fact that your mamma taught you better den dat...." She said completely turning to face Gage. "I ain't scared of you big boy. You may think you are all big n' bad, but boy you got something comin' if you think I'ma let you whoop your own brother right here in front of me."
She gritted her teeth. "Show some damn respect. It's one thing messin' round with ya brother it's another to try to beat his ass..." She practically snarled. "Now a boy raised like you should know that this is not the way to handle things." She wanted so bad to just knock him down into his place.
"Now I understand he did wrong walkin' out on ya'll like that... but i'm sure his reason is of cause and....even if it isn't it ain't no reason to kisk his ass." She was talking straight from her heart trying to avoid hittin' him and avoidin' the fight as well. This was probably not the best way between two weres, but hey a girl had to do what a girl had to do.

"Don't you dare talk to me in that tone. I ain't Daddy, I ain't gonna take it like a man, and turn the other cheek, Lucas. Y'know that."
"I know that!" He threw back. "You ain't no where near close to Daddy, at least dad would let me be. No, you gotta come chasin' after me like I'm a god damned trophy to be won!" He shouted back, and knew this was only just going to piss Gage off even more. "And I ain't Jayjay, or Griff, or Trev. I'm Colt, I'm my own damned person, Christopher!" He said, shouting and putting as much emphasis on his brothers name as possible.
"This ain't got nothin' to do with you." He said roughly, eyes glaring down at Harleigh. "Now move before you get hurt. I'm only gonna say it once." He warned her. "This is between brothers. He needs an ass kickin for just walkin out on us."
"DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!" He screamed, his voice traveling throughout the entire park. "You don't know her, like I do, Chris. Damn it. Stop actin' all high an' mighty, damn it." He breathed out heavily, his chest rising and falling rapidly.
"Now I know for a fact that your mamma taught you better den dat...."
"Don't talk to my brother like that." He couldn't stop it from coming out, even if he tried. It was instinct, it was a reaction. They grew up protecting each other, and despite wanting to kick each other's ass at this point, that instinct didn't leave.
"Now I understand he did wrong walkin' out on ya'll like that... but i'm sure his reason is of cause and....even if it isn't it ain't no reason to kick his ass."
His eyes met with Harleigh, and shock registered. "I didn't mean..." He sighed heavily. "I'm sorry, it's... it's just a-- a habit." His head flew back to look at Gage. "And you, don't you ever talk to her like that, ever again. Y'hear me?"

"I know that!" He threw back. "You ain't no where near close to Daddy, at least dad would let me be. No, you gotta come chasin' after me like I'm a god damned trophy to be won!"
"Now I ain't gonna tell you again, don't you dare raise your voice to me." His voice seemed calm, yet held anger to it. It was cold, and rough, and his eyes seemed to bore into Colt's as Harleigh stood in the middle.
"DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!"
Anger boiled up inside as Colt's voice echoed throughout the place, as he listened to him yell at the girl, and then apologizing, and then start yelling at him again, Gage couldn't stop his hand from clenching into a large fist.
Without any hesitation, his hand went flying out, and what he assumed, over the girl and connected with Colt's jaw. But when it fell back down to his side, it wasn't Colt that was holding his face, it was the girl.
Gage's mouth dropped opened, and words couldn't express the feeling that bubbled down deep inside of him. Oh god...

Before she knew it there was more yelling, and she couldn't have been more confused at the moment. One second she was looking at Colt and the next she was knocked off her feet and onto her ass by a mean right hook.
"WHAT T' FUCK!" She screamed her ragin' cajun accent flowing out with fury. She stood up wiping the small amouth of blood from the side of her mouth. She flexed her jaw.
"Seriously?" She looked at Gage her eyes blazin'. She turned around holding her face instead of thinking of something snarky to say she just plopped down onto her ass holding her face. "Damn.... if I would have known a punch was goingto be thrown at me... I would have stood over there...." She looked over at Colt tears streaming down her face, but a bright smile on her face. "Well..... that hurt." She sat there her legs crossed in between the two brothers.
"Now do you see what fighting does....hurts women. So fuck you." She sighed crossing her arms across her chest looking back from Colt to Gage.

"WHAT T' FUCK!"
He couldn't believe his eyes, but he knew it had happened when she screamed out, sitting there on the ground and holding her face. His eyes locked with Gage, his brother. "You dick." He said, sounding astonished or just down right shocked.
"Damn.... if I would have known a punch was goingto be thrown at me... I would have stood over there...."
He couldn't help but smile because of the way she said that. Any other girl by now would have been laying in the dirt, crying. But, not Harleigh. He should of known. "You okay?" He asked softly, crouching down in front of her.
"Now do you see what fighting does....hurts women. So fuck you."
He opened his mouth to say something but didn't know what to say. "I'm sorry." He told her gently. "Gage." He paused, looking up at his brother. "Look, just give me a week, or two more." His eyes pleaded with him. "Please. C'mon Chris. For being a good brother." He tossed over at him.
