They were certainly possibilities, but she had a day job, and leaving her kids at night didn't feel right. She figured she might be able to squeeze in a few hours after work, instead of going directly home. Thinking on it, Emma replied softly, "I think I may just do that. I'm really interested in helping these kids." Yet somehow, she didn't believe that she fit the professor standards. How could she ever put up with the things Colette did? She wasn't nearly that strong, and she was willing to admit it openly.
Her eyes turned into slits, thoughful. She rocked Parker, who was just about ready to join his sister in sleep. "Think it'd be okay if I called Cian here? That way we could all talk about this instead of going through a messenger."
Smile brightening with hopefullness, Emma looked on at the woman in front of her. "Do you think I could do it?" This time she was asking in reference to being a professor, not calling her husband.

"I think I may just do that. I'm really interested in helping these kids."
She could see that. With her own stress in her life, her walls for her telepathy weren't up completely. She would over hear certain things, but chose to ignore them. "I know." She smiled, taking to her feet with Eliza fast asleep in her arms.
"Think it'd be okay if I called Cian here? That way we could all talk about this instead of going through a messenger."
Colette nodded, smiling as she placed Eliza back in the stroller to sleep. She squirmed at the end, letting out a soft whimper. "Shhh." Colette hushed softly. She turned to Emma, starring at her a moment. "You want me to take him?" She asked, inclining Parker.
"Do you think I could do it?"
She placed one hand on the stroller, and the other on her hip as she perked a brow down at Emma. "Do I think you can do it?" She paused. "Yes. I think you're more than capable of doing it. There has only been one male professor since the beginning, most are female." She smiled, leaning slightly to the right.
"I think women are more capable of doing this job, than men. Don't get me wrong." She said, holding up a hand. "I love men, they're great. Fantastic even. But.. this job at times is.. delicate, and other times it will test you, and push you to your limits. Women do that themselves daily, we're use to it." She shrugged.
"Do I think you can do it.." She grinned, letting out a soft laugh. Nodding gently as she smiled. "Yes, Emma. I think you would do great in it. You just have to want it bad enough."

Clicking off the phone, Cian smirked to himself. Never could get a straight answer from that woman. But he loved her. Securing the kids in the care of Colleen (who was more than happy to sit with her niece and nephew), Cian headed out to Biella, as his wife had requested.
Entering the building, he headed for the kitchen, where Emma had told him she and Colette would be. Breaking through the doorway, he grinned at the sight of the two women and the twins. "'Lo, love," he greeted, dropping a kiss to her cheek. "And hello Colette. And Parker and Eliza," he smiled, leaning against the table easily. "Is there a reason why I was summoned here?"

But did she want it bad enough? Capturing her from her thought, Cian came into the room promptly, as if he was meant to grant her a reprive. A smile came to her face and she kissed him back, rotating her face to reach his cheek since that was what he had settled for. "Yeah," she answered, sinking into holding Parker, shifting his head to lay more comfortably on her arm.
Well, this was it. Wasn't a big deal. They were just talking about it. Just looking for his reaction, his input. "I was thinking," she began, "since Dolce is out of a professor, they're looking for someone. I...well, I was thinking about applying."

"And hello Colette. And Parker and Eliza," he smiled, leaning against the table easily. "Is there a reason why I was summoned here?"
"Afternoon, Cian." Colette returned with a smile. "Well, that's for Emma to say." She grinned, walking over and taking Parker from her arms. "I'll be right back. I'm gonna go lay them down." She smiled gently, laying him down in the stroller and rolling them out into the living room.
Laying a few blankets and pillows of the floor, she placed them there. Giving them both kisses and telling the to have a nice nap. And like always, she'd be there when they woke. Taking to her feet once more, she walked back in just catching the end of Emma's conversation with Cian.
"since Dolce is out of a professor, they're looking for someone. I...well, I was thinking about applying."
"Actually, so is Rosewood." She pointed out as she reclaimed her seat. Her phone buzzed on the table in front of her. She picked it up, reading the text quickly from Nat, and typed a quick reply. "Sorry." She smiled gently, putting the phone back down.

"I was thinking," she began, "since Dolce is out of a professor, they're looking for someone. I...well, I was thinking about applying." "Actually, so is Rosewood."
Cian looked a little surprised at that. He hadn't known Emma was interested in all that, the professor-ship. It did make sense though, once he thought on it. She did always love being at Rosewood and helping people... An easy smile came to his face as he imagined Emma as a professor. She would be brilliant really.
"It'll be all you girls as professors then, huh?" he teased softly, grinning. "Well, that sounds great Emma love. Saying you got it, we would move to Dolce then yeah? Or would you rather apply to your alma mater, d'you think?"
Another thought approached his mind and it furrowed his brow shallowly. "What of your work at the studio, though?" Either way, he would support her, of course. But he just wanted her to make the right decision, do what she truly wanted. And maybe this would help her to not feel as if she were inadequate or useless or any of that.
He could see that she was none of that of course, but apparently Emma had some trouble at times...

"Actually, so is Rosewood."
"Really?" she started, smile brighter now. Now that her ideas weren't so purely imaginary, now that her mind was wandering into what could be, she couldn't really help but consider this as something more than doing what she'd love. This would be giving up something she'd be okay with losing, to gain a different, stronger part of her. And to help others as well. Was there a downside to this? It was too good to be true.
Parker seemed to feed off of her mirthful little chuckle, and his eyes reopened to gleam up at her. He cooed and giggled happily, waving his arms about.
"Well, that sounds great Emma love. Saying you got it, we would move to Dolce then yeah? Or would you rather apply to your alma mater, d'you think?"
He was for it? Though Cian was the omni-supporting husband, she wondered if that was how his brain was really operating. How could he not be weighing in the options? Or was he, and he'd been faster than her to come to such a confident conclusion?
Oh, moving. That meant more change for Oliver. Even though he'd lived at Rosewood for the good portion of three years, he'd already come to a new home, and oh... She realized how blind she'd been to the way this would effect the whole family.
"Definitely Rosewood, if I can," she answered. There would be no excuses--she would have to live there. If that was true, Cian and the rest could stay in the apartment or move in with her. Although that meant commuting, and that meant not seeing her kids, and that meant less time with Cian, and...
"What of your work at the studio, though?"
Her smile faded. "I'll have to think about it. A lot."

"Really?"
Colette smiled, seeing that smile on Emma widen. She knew it would, once she informed her, her alma mater was available as well. Hearing Parker, Colette let out a soft laugh, her head turning to watch as Eliza's eyes popped open, her head rolling about to spot her brother.
Chuckling softly, she leaned over, picking the girl up and holding her close. "There he is. He's with Aunt Emmy." She told her softly. Eliza grinned that toothless grin, her two fingers popping into her mouth.
"Definitely Rosewood, if I can. I'll have to think about it. A lot."
Colette smiled softly over at Emma and Cian. "Of course. Just make sure not to think for two long. You don't want to come to conclusion and find that the position is filled, y'know?" She told her, bouncing Eliza on her lap.

Cian grinned softly as he watched the twins interact briefly. Eliza was turned around to face her brother and consequently himself. "Hiya, 'Liza," he greeted in a quiet sing-song, still grinning.
"I'll have to think about it. A lot."
"Right," Cian nodded, agreeing. He listened to Colette's advice as well, nodding again. "That's true. But we have got some time," he added as a reassurance for Emma.
As for the logistics of it... Well, Cian wouldn't mind moving if Emma got either position. He wasn't overly attached to their apartment as it was. He liked it enough, sure, and it was home, but if Emma truly wanted to be a professor he wasn't going to make her commute. That would be too stressful. And then he'd see less of her and she'd see less of the kids as well... It just would not be an ideal arrangement.
But all that was still a little while off.

((Cause Em would switch teams for Ainslie. Just saying.))
It was just that Oliver had a problem with drastic changes, and she didn't want to put him in that position again, but he usually coped fine within close proximity to the alteration. She worried about Maura, too, of course, but she seemed to be less emotionally contorted to things like that. The idea of moving some place new and having new friends might excite her. She was still trying to figure out Mo's wiring; she was so young.
And then even if she didn't get the job, there'd be nothing wrong with it, but there would also be all this unneccessary worrying. Then again, it was hard to keep Emma from worrying for too long. Something always seemed out of sorts or needed contemplation.
Or what if she was just...bad at it? Would being with and around her kids all day make their relationship more tiresome and unoriginal and everyday? The things that made her spine tingle were flooding in now.
"I need a deep breath and a glass of wine," she exerted with a chuckle.

"Hiya, 'Liza,"
Eliza's legs stiffened against Colette's lap, her mouth opening. Colette could feel her take in a sharp intake of breath, and knew to wince as Eliza let out a piercing shriek of laughter, waving her arms about. Colette laughing, kissing her on the cheek. "You want to go to uncle Cian?" She asked, taking to her feet.
"I need a deep breath and a glass of wine,"
She chuckled right along with her, passing an anxious Eliza over to Cian. "Yeah. I might join you on that." She mused with a smile. "Take a deep breath, and that wine is on the way." She smiled with a wink before taking off to the cabinets.

[[haha, didn't even notice that XD apologies]]
At Eliza's enthusiastic response to him, Cian's face broke into a wide grin. He laughed softly and then Colette was passing the little girl to him. He took Eliza comfortably, cuddling her against his chest. "'Lo there 'Liza J. I'd say you're the prettiest girl around but I've got to other lasses who'd be very upset with me if I did." He chuckled a little at that. "But you are one of the prettiest, for certain." He lifted the little girl, touching her nose to his before holding her against himself again.
"I need a deep breath and a glass of wine."
Cian started to go for the wine for her but Colette was going already. "And we'll sit here with the kids," he told her, grinning. She moved off and Cian sat next to Emma, holding Eliza in his lap. Leaning in, he caught her lips in a sweet, soft, lingering kiss. "Hello," he said softly, having missed out on the proper greeting earlier.

She wasn't about to object to the offering of something that was supposed to be a joke, especially if it contained alcohol. "Thank you," she passed off to Colette as she left the room. In response to her dismissal, Parker went off into some high-pitched squeal-like laughter, waving his arms about, long disinterested in the bottle. All Emma could do was join him. "Hush, handsome!" she chuckled. "You're going to wake Jersey with that laugh of yours."
Taking her by surprise, Cian's kiss lasted longer than she expected and she rested against him in their seats. Through her nose went a satisfied, content sigh. Lifting her head, a cheeky grin donned her face. "Hello," she scoffed. "What do you think I should do?"
