It all happened so fast. Before he knew it--he had just been going to say hi to Mo--he had been toppled to the ground, a sharp pain in his stomach. It was hard to breathe. He coughed roughly, but was unable to take anything back in for a long time. A panicked look crossed his face and he clung to his mother, wanting to be able to breathe again. As if on cue, he inhaled, looking with wild and wet eyes at the dog, and Saikoro, who hadn't even said hi to him when he arrived.
"Toopid doggie," he grumbled, crossing his arms. "Meanie. No run to Mo. She mine."

"S-Sorry, he's a little bit of a rowdy pup." He apologized shyly and held tightly to Bernie. Finally he got the dog to settle down. However, there was more to worry about. Adalina glared rather viciously at Oliver and then stomped right up to him with crossed arms. "Bernie isn't stupid! He's a smart dog....even....even smarter than you! And he's very nice too." She hissed rather threateningly.
Saikoro bit his lip, not sure what to do now. "Addy! That's not nice." He scolded. But it was difficult for her to even scold her. Not to mention, Adalina just went and poked Oliver right on the forehead, continuing her speech, "You're just jealous cause Bernie isn't your friend. But nobodies would want to be your friend anyway! So there!!"

Molleigh watched the baby that Ollie was by. Obviously he would rather spend more time with this baby than with her. Pouting more, she watched, sort of humphing as the baby disappeared and reappeared. How come everyone else was so special? All she could do was... well, really nothing. Nobody ever oohed or ahhed over her like that. She hadn't seen Ollie in forever, and now, when she had, he was stoled away by this cute little baby. No FAIR.
Amarie watched Molleigh pout and chuckled to herself. Her girl was gonna have some big character, sh was sure of that--looked like she was already jealous of Mo. But then something happened, and Bernie was running at Emma and Mo. She froze, glanicng over to Sai. Surely he hadn't... No. He wouldn't. Anyway, Bernie was pretty strong and rowdy. But at least he hadn't hurt Maura.
Shay was with Addy on this. Shay was always with Addy though--it was as if they were born to be sisters. "Yeah! Bernie no 'toopid. He'sa good doggie. Best doggie in worl'!" She put her hands on her hips and stared accusingly at Ollie. She and Addy did make a good team.
Amarie put a hand on Shay's head. "Be nice," she warned. She and Addy could be kind of... not nice sometimes. but they were good girls--great sisters for Molleigh.
Molleigh's pout turned into a teary frown. So Ollie did not like her at all! He had called Mo, 'his', he had! He was more willing to spend time with a boring old baby who could move places than to spend time with her. Well, he could be that way. Slightly hurt and not wanting anyone to see her cry, she buried her face in Sai's leg, sniffling quietly.
[[[[oooh jealous molleigh. xDD i love her.]]]

"Hey, all righ'," Cian said placatingly. Maura sniffled against his shoulders. Obviously the dog's outburst had caused some high tensions. "Calm down, bud," he told Oliver gently. "Jus' breathe deep, okay?" He crouched and rubbed at the boy's back, trying to urge him to be calm.
In his arms, Maura hiccuped. She shifted to peer out at her brother, extending a hand to him. "Ahhl-er," she crooned, stroking at his chin. She reached up then, smiling with tears lingering in her red eyes. "Boop," she drooled, patting at his nose. She didn't really know what it meant, but it usually made Oliver laugh. She wanted her brother to laugh. When he was sad, so was she.
Cian grinned as he watched his children interact. "Nice, Mo," he praised, stroking the little girl's head. He passed her to Emma then, looking back to his son. "Need a hug, lad?" he asked softly. He knew Oliver might want to be strong and a "big boy" for the audience...but sometimes you just needed a hug.

Needless to say, Oliver was shocked. Nobody wanted to be his friend? And Bernie was smarter than him? A panicked, desperate look etched into his face and he took a step back, tripping over his own feet as Adalina smartly poked him square on the forehead. His hands went for Daddy's pant leg, but he resisted, wanting to be strong, and smart, and brave... Ollie bit his lip, listening to the girls' attack.
Bernie wasn't the best doggie in the world! Luna was! But how could he say that? Then nobody would want to be his friend... Worried, he felt his eyes well up with tears but he refused to let them go, his throat becoming raw as he buried his face in his father's leg.
"No," he choked, pulling away the instant a hug was offered. He batted Maura's hand away, shaking his head. Even Mo wasn't his friend?
"Nobodies would want to be your friend anyway!"
But, why? What had he done?
