"Alright. Round three is mine."
Ainslie smirked, "Damn straight it is," she replied, laughing. She was just about to turn around and walk forward again when someone slammed into her back, sending her off balance a moment. She regained herself easily though, turning to apologize to the man she had bumped. She didn't get the chance though as the man growled out, "Watch where your going!" Her eyes tightened unpleasantly and was again about to deliver her apology --only this time with a healthy dose of sarcasm-- when Gage jumped in. "You watch where you're goin'. You're the one who bumped into her."
The two exchanged more words and Ainslie bit her lip worriedly. Most of the noise in the bar had died down as the others could sense a fight. And how could they not, with Gage and the other man facing off, electricity arching between the two of them. This was not how she had pictured her evening going. Moving to Gage, she took hold of his forearm. "Gage, don't. It's... It's really not worth it. Let's just sit down." A slight growl rumbled out of the other Were but Ainslie just ignored him.
She did not need this man she had just met getting into some kind of bar brawl that was more or less because of her.

He could feel her hands on his forearm, but all he was thinking about was not letting his anger get the best of him. The bartender was starring him down, and the man he was arguing with was now growling lowly in his throat at him.
"Gage, don't. It's... It's really not worth it. Let's just sit down."
He took in a deep breath, nodding as he started off. "You're right." He smiled weakly over at her. Evan as he was moving off to the bar, he could hear the man turning and muttering under his breath, before yelling; "YEAH! YOU BETTER GO!"
It was instant, how his breath came quicker, as a growl formed in his throat. " Apologize to the women, now." He growled out at the man without turning around. "And why would I do that?" He looked Ainslie in the eyes as he took a few steps away from her, feeling the transformation already starting as anger raged inside of him.
Clothes fell to the ground as a black wolf jumped from the floor, attacking the man to the floor.

"You're right." Ainslie couldn't help the short sigh of relief she let out when he said that. Good. No fighting. That would be just a little too much excitement for that night. Passing him a smile, she led him toward the bar again. But of course that idiot mutt hadn't had enough. He shouted back to Gage, "YEAH! YOU BETTER GO!" Ainslie's shoulders tightened and she turned to face the other man. Gage hadn't turned though and she saw the pure rage painted over his face. Uh oh...
A short conversation spanned out and then Gage was meeting her eyes and stepping away from her; she could see the fight boiling in those dark irises and before she could make a move to grab for him, stop him, there was a wolf where he had been standing. Then the wolf was lunging forward, attacking the other man. "Oh fuck!" Ainslie exclaimed, skittering back a little bit. The other customers either edged out of the way, growled and tensed, or howled their approval.
Just as Ainslie was lifting a hand to freeze the scene before them when another figure joined the mess. The bartender had apparently jumped the counter and was locking his arms around wolf-Gage's neck. A growl was rumbling in his chest as he barked out, "If you two want to fight like a couple of hopped-up fucking pups, you will do it outside of my bar!" He shook Gage a little, tightening his hold as if to get his attention. "And get the fuck back into your skin. I don't tolerate dogs."
Ainslie swallowed, eyes locked on the scene before her. Well, she had wanted to learn about Weres and their society... And she could tell that this bartender, even if he wasn't the strongest looking or the biggest, was most certainly an Alpha.

"Oh fuck!"
The other man was already shifting when he heard Ainslie's voice. The two were jumping and lunging at each other, growling and biting at one another. The next thing he knew, someone had him by his neck and was squeezing hard.
"If you two want to fight like a couple of hopped-up fucking pups, you will do it outside of my bar!"
He was starting to feel the soreness in his throat as the man tightened his grip. His eyes looked back as far as he could, seeing the man was the bartender from before. But, Gage knew an Alpha when he saw one.
"And get the fuck back into your skin. I don't tolerate dogs."
Letting out a howl, he shifted back, grabbing at his clothes quickly, throwing his jeans on, and his shirt over his shoulder. Head low, his eyes slowly moved to the Alpha. "I apologize, sir." He said softly, rubbing at his throat.
He moved then, glaring back at the guy as he shifted back as well, muttering foul language as he moved away from the bar. Gage sighed, as he continued to rub at his neck. His eyes slowly wandering to Ainslie. "I'm sorry... you had to see that."

Ainslie watched interested (and aroused, she'd admit) as Gage shifted back. Despite the situation, she couldn't help but blush a bit at his nudity. Even after he pulled the pants back on, his chest was still rather impressive. That was put in the shadows though as Gage displayed a distinctly submissive attitude toward the bartender, ducking his head and muttering an apology. "Just don't let it happen again," the Alpha growled out. And then he whirled on the other guy, reaming him out; calling him Caleb and telling him if he ever brought his crap around here again it would be the last thing he did.
Ainslie mostly ignored that though as Gage was moving back toward her, looking subdued and regretful. "I'm sorry... you had to see that." She shook her head slightly, waving it off. "Don't worry... I've seen worse." She ran a home for teen-aged mutants; there had been plenty of inflammatory fights and confrontations in her life. She put a gentle hand to his neck then, wincing softly with his pain. "Are you all right?"
And okay, maybe she had been a little shaken up by the fight. But that was only because seeing two wolves suddenly materialize out of men was quite shocking. Terrifying but also...beautiful. There was something elegant about the shift, graceful even. But still scary because of its quickness. All of a sudden this hot, flirty man was gone and in his place was a ferocious, feral wolf. And... Ainslie had to wonder --because she had seen something in his eyes-- if Gage had had complete control; if he had meant to shift or if it had just...happened.
Sensing something shaky in Gage, she turned to the bar, keeping her hand at his neck, and ordered two beers from the pretty she-wolf bartender. Then she sat on a stool, urging him to follow with the stool next to her.

"Just don't let it happen again,"
Gage gave a nod, before walking back towards Ainslie. He knew he honestly couldn't control his shifts. It was all tied into his emotions, and with him spending so much time in wolf form... it was really starting to wear down on him. He sighed, leaning against the bar counter as he wiped the sweat away from his forehead.
"Don't worry... I've seen worse."
His brow lifted, leaning in he took a nice long whiff of her scent. She didn't have that familiar were scent. No, her's was different. Perhaps she was a mutant? "You have?" He asked softly, turning to look at her as she placed a hand to his neck.
"Are you all right?"
He nodded, but he could still hear his heart beating in his ears. His breathing became shallow and slow as he watched her order two beers and sit down. Smiling lightly, he took a seat next to her. "Two cold ones." the She-wolf smiled as she tossed them towards Gage and Ainslie. "Thank you." He said softly, popping the top and taking a long drink before placing it back on the bar top.

"You have?" She nodded easily, shrugging. "I run a school...sort of a school. Two grown wolves is nothing compared to the damage a group of rowdy teens can cause." She passed a small, reassuring grin his way, not wanting him to worry about her. She could certainly handle herself. Although she had to admit it was a nice feeling; someone looking out for her.
His nod didn't do much to convince her but she just returned it, opening her own beer as well. After a long swallow, she rested the bottle back on the counter and looked over to him. "So," she stated, eyes meet his as she wore a slightly teasing smile. "Do you usually make it a point to get in bar fights, or was that just something special for me?"
Chuckling softly, she shook her head. "No, but what I'm really interested in... You're a Were." Her eyes shone a little at the prospect of talking to one. "What's that like?" Blushing softly, she added on, "If you don't mind me asking, that is." Ainslie had a habit of asking questions that not everyone wanted to answer, speaking before thinking really.

"I run a school...sort of a school. Two grown wolves is nothing compared to the damage a group of rowdy teens can cause."
His brow raised, nodding as he took another drink. Maybe she's one of those mutants I've heard about that opens a house to teach. Gage thought to himself. "And just how did you get involved in that?" He asked with a soft smile.
"So. Do you usually make it a point to get in bar fights, or was that just something special for me?"
He laughed easily, shaking his head. "Sad to say it's a family curse." He chuckled, his hand grasping the now sweating beer bottle. "I don't know how it started, but trust me, I wish it would end." He smirked.
"No, but what I'm really interested in... You're a Were. What's that like? If you don't mind me asking, that is."
So he was right. She wasn't a were. He grinned, his head ducking down as he laughed softly. "It's hard to say, really. My whole family is weres, except my momma. I mean, it's nice, don't get me wrong." He smiled. "But," He paused, shrugging a bit. "It's tied to your emotions. So, any anger that isn't under control can easily make you shift and attack someone." He said, his thumb pointing back to the spot where the fight had happened. "Just like that."

"And just how did you get involved in that?"
She smiled back to him and shrugged. "Well, it's a school for mutant kids, actually. Which, I promise, makes the destruction even worse. But I started it because I'm a mutant as well." No qualms admitting that; not here with this crowd at this time. "My family's pretty rich and a little famous even. So I could be some ditzy, party-going heiress like others before me or I could actually do something with my life." She smiled lightly, adding, "I chose the latter. Started Bellaza Francesca and... the rest is history."
She laughed as he said that bar fighting was a family trait and shook her head. But then he went on about the Weres and she cocked her head, listening intrigued. A whole family of Weres... whoa. His own personal pack. She nodded in his remark about it being linked to his emotions. "Yeah," she agreed. "I got that, from back there." Smiling softly to show it was all right, that she wasn't freaked out over anything, Ainslie took a swallow of her beer.
"You said you're out here because of your brother? What made him run off, hmm?" She should apologize for that question most likely, was probably too invasive really. But the beer was hitting her head then and the adrenaline from the fight earlier was fizzling in her veins. So she let the question hang. Let him not answer if he didn't want to. Either way was fine for her.

He lifted a brow loosely and nodded. "Wow." Laughing a moment later he shook his head. "I'm sorry. You just... don't look like the heiress type." Pausing he smiled lightly and quickly added. "No offense."
"Yeah," she agreed. "I got that, from back there."
He smirked lightly, taking a swig of his beer. "Family curse. Follows the Turners everywhere." Though the smile was still on his face, he was completely serious. Everywhere he went, trouble seemed to follow.
"You said you're out here because of your brother? What made him run off, hmm?"
He took in a deep breath and downed the last of his beer before pushing it away as the She-wolf came over and grabbed it, asking if he wanted another. "Yes please, and one for my lovely companion." He smiled at Ainslie.
Silence fell, and it seemed to last awhile before he spoke up again. "Okay. If I tell you, you gotta promise not to be like every other person on this planet and say how sorry you are to hear it." His eyes sifted to her. "Okay?"

"I'm sorry. You just... don't look like the heiress type." Pausing he smiled lightly and quickly added. "No offense."
She laughed easily at that, shaking her head. "None taken." Taking the last of her beer, she added, "Yeah, I've kind of been working toward not being seen as an heiress. Kinda just want to be Ainslie Darling, you know? Not 'a member of the Darling Legacy'." Which made her mother and father more disappointed than they would ever admit. She smiled her thanks back to him and a second later they both had fresh beers before them. Ainslie scraped at the label a little, more interested in his answer to her question. It took a moment but she let the silence linger before he finally spoke. "Okay. If I tell you, you gotta promise not to be like every other person on this planet and say how sorry you are to hear it." His eyes sifted to her. "Okay?"
Her brow furrowed a bit at that, curious over what that statement would relate to. She nodded anyway though, fingers dropping from the bottle. "Yeah, sure," she promised, eyes moving to meet his. Whatever this was, it seemed to be a big sort of revelation. And... Something most people were sorry to hear? Perhaps... A death. It had to be... But Ainslie stopped her internal speculating then and just waited for Gage to give her the actual story in full.
