Jimi was obviously a prophet. A soft smile was released and Emma nodded. It was a consolation to know that all they had to do was reach out and love others. She also knew, however that that would never happen absolutely. There would always be at least one person who could only think of themselves. And that was okay with her, because she wouldn't be that person.
Now that God had tackled her most pressing question, she felt freer to pursue her other curiosities.
"And bad things happen to good people because...?" Were the good people stronger? Were they so willing to forgive and see their way out that they could handle the worst of situations? Dropping it, she figured she'd let God answer.
Asking questions about herself seemed selfish. But she wanted to discover more about herself.

"And bad things happen to good people because...?"
She closed her eyes, getting flooded with Emma's questions that rattled inside her brain. She quickly cut the connection to her mind and sighed slightly. "It all comes down to what road they take. I don't have control over everyone, I decided a long time ago that humanity would have free will."
She scratched at her chin for a second. "With free will, comes alot of different possibilities. For example; Dean." Her head turned, looking up at him. "If he never made the decision to come here, his entire life would have been different."
Her eyes flicked back to Emma. "Same with you, and every living thing on this planet."

A long time ago--as in, all the time of humanity?
Shit, how far back did that go?
"But you said there's destiny," Emma struggled with understanding, shaking her head a little, holding her hands out as if they could somehow grasp the mystery and take it in. "If that's true, then wouldn't the bad things be destined to fall on the good people? Yet, they have...free will..."
Agh! Brain was shutting down quickly.
"Next question. I think it's one of those things I just have to realize I'll never understand," she chuckled.

Dean stood there, completely silent, holding Regan in his arms as her head laid on his shoulder. She poked at his cheek with her finger, a wry smile on her face. "Mm." She smiled, poking him again. "Ray shh."
---
"Next question. I think it's one of those things I just have to realize I'll never understand,"
Omni smiled, nodding lightly. "I think that would be best. What else would you like to know?" She asked, tilting her head slightly. 'Omni..' Someone called in her mind. Her head looked up at the sky. "Excuse me for one moment."
And just like that, she was gone...
[[She'll be back]]

Searching her brain for her next pressing question, Emma was taken aback at her sudden disappearance. No, no, no! Wait! She couldn't leave yet! There was still so much...
But she was gone anyway.
A hollow feeling formed in her stomach, but filled when she caught sight of Dean. He seemed just as befuddled as she was, and she touched his arm, a bright smile replacing her empty face.
"Would you mind if I left for a few minutes? There's a certain husband of mine that needs to know about this."

"Excuse me for one moment."
Dean's mouth opened but before he could say anything, she was gone. His brows furrowed, his head turning slightly to look at Regan. She smiled back up at him and it made his heart swell. He smiled back, feeling Emma touching his hand made him turn to her. She smiled up at him, and he smiled back; it was a nice moment, no matter how baffled they were.
"Would you mind if I left for a few minutes? There's a certain husband of mine that needs to know about this."
"Yeah." He nodded, smiling. "Yeah, go on." He flashed her one smile as Ray did her version of a wave. He laughed easily, bouncing her slightly as she giggled out in laughter. "Think we're gonna play."

All right. Cian missed his fucking wife. So he was going to her. Oliver was on a "date" with Essence; the girl was desperately trying to make it up to the little boy after announcing her pregnancy. Maura was dancing around him as they walked down the sidewalk. Cian smiled as her little girl voice sang out nonsense words to the tune of Beatles "Here Comes the Sun." She always asked Daddy to sing and play that song for her early in the morning when it was just the two of them... Coming up on Rosewood, Cian scooped Maura into his arms. She giggled happily, cuddling against his chest. "Ready to see Momma, Mo?" Maura nodded enthusiastically, arms going around his neck. As they came upon the house, Cian could hear soft conversation in the backyard. He moved around there and found Dean with Regan and Emma. He smiled gently to Regan, nodding to Dean. "Hey," he greeted Emma, eyes immediately lighting up at just the sight of her.

Her? She was gleaming.
The moment she heard the voice that made her insides rejoice, she turned around as quick as she could, draped an arm around her husband's neck and kissed him. Kissed him hard, kissed him long, kissed him passionately. To hell with the small children in the vicinity. She and Cian were meant to be. God had said so. There was no arguing with what God said. She'd talked to God! Cian should, too. He had to. She loved him, Jesus Christ...
There would be no abstinence tonight. Not while she was feeling as exhilirated as this.
Finally, she pulled away, arms looped around his neck happily. "Hi."

"Hey,"
"Speak of the devil." He smirked, giving him a nod. Regan shrieked loudly, spreading her arms out, seeing Uncle Cian and Mo were here too! Dean grinned down at his little girl, his eyes glancing up just to see the kiss between Emma and Cian.
He placed a hand in front of Ray's eyes playfully, which she grabbed and began playing with. He chuckled softly, clearing his throat just as their kiss ended. "Hi." He shook his head. "So now that the hello's are passed out.." He joked slightly.
Regan pushed and pulled at him, wanting to be put down. "Okay." He laughed gently, placing her on her feet.

Immediately Cian found himself wrapped up in a heated kiss. His eyes slipped closed almost-drunkenly as he fell entirely into the kiss. One arm slid around her shoulders as the other shifted Maura a little off to the side so she could be more comfortable. Once Emma broke away from him, he had to just sit a moment. Recover.
He chuckled at Dean's reply. "Hey there, Ray," he said to the little girl. Maura was doing her own little "let me down, Daddy!" dance. Cian complied, settling her onto the soft grass. "Reeee!" the little girl immediately called, dashing toward her friend. She promptly tripped not quite a foot from Dean and Regan, landing face-first in the ground. She just got back up though, giggling at herself, waving happily. "Hiya, Unka Dean-o!"
Cian grinned at his daughter, heart lurching only a little when she fell. But she got right back up, so she was fine. Turning to Emma, he stroked her cheek softly, smiling. "I missed you."

She panicked briefly when Mo fell, but she regained her feet and scrambled off again, cheerfullness untouched, so she found the feelings quickly passing over her. Beaming, Emma's eyes softened when Cian touched her cheek and she leaned into it. "You have no idea," she replied, fingers taking hold of his.
He had to know, he had to know right now. "I just had a conversation with a certain holy someone," she blurted, refusing to think about what she was saying; just letting it go. Be damned if he didn't understand or believe her. She knew the truth. "I talked to God."
She expected him to call her crazy and shaking his head in disbelief, but she had Dean, another witness, on her side to back her up. "And it was...amazing."

"Hey there, Ray,"
She grinned widely, waving at her uncle as she started walking towards Maura, who was just now put down. As she fell, Ray covered her eyes. "Moooo." She laughed out. Dean chuckled, watching the two of them inter-act.
"I talked to God. And it was...amazing."
He nodded, licking his lips as he gave a soft smile. "I wouldn't say amazing." He threw to them. "But, she was somethin'."

Cian's eyebrows went up. What did she mean by... He immediately looked to Dean, eyes questioning. They seemed to be in agreement on this.... What the fuck?
"You...talked to God?" he asked, unsure. Nodding to Dean, he added, "And God is a 'she'?" So then God talked back. Because Cian talked to God every day just about but rarely got a response. He swallowed, brow furrowing. "You mean... You literally talked to God and he --she talked back?"
--
"Hi-hi!" Maura greeted excitedly. "Whatchu doin'?" she asked, tugging at a blonde curl and smiling to Regan.

"You...talked to God?"
Nodding feverishly, she grabbed his hands, a glowing smile still spreading her cheekbones. Her eyes went up to Dean when he interceded, and she chuckled. "Cian, it was more than amazing. She's...she's...I don't know. She's God. It was breathtaking. You have to talk to her... I want you to." She knew at first he'd be reluctant, but so was she. God was intimidating, no doubt there.
"You mean... You literally talked to God and he --she talked back?"
"Yes," she breathed out, reaching up to kiss him again. "And you know what she said?" Rhetorical, no need for a response. She couldn't contain it, anyway. "She said we, you and me, were meant to be together." The feeling of making the right decision, of loving his man before her was so powerful that she pressed up against him again to kiss him.

Ray grinned, giving a slight shrug. "Nuttin' joo?" She blinked, her head turning to look back towards the gate. Hearing part of what daddy and the others were saying, her head flew towards them, looking up with a look of wonder. ---
"You mean... You literally talked to God and he --she talked back?"
He more or less stayed quiet, thinking it all over in his mind. He did, and she did. But it wasn't all shit and giggles either. People were dying, and he had alot of questions now to ask her, god. How could she sit there and do nothing? All the while people down here were either dead or paralyzed.
He took in a deep breath, nodding slightly.

Talk to God. Right. Him. Talk to God. He wasn't... He couldn't do that. He was just...him. And God was...God. No. He couldn't do that. But. Emma wanted him to. Fuck. All right. So where was God?
"Where is... She?" It felt odd to refer to God with just a personal pronoun.
"She said we, you and me, were meant to be together." That brought a smile to his face and it quickly evolved to his usual lop-sided grin. "Coulda told you that m'self, love," he joked easily. Slipping closer, he touched his lips to hers gently. Breaking into chuckles, he looked to his friend. "Hear that Dean? God said we're meant to be so y' just stay away from my wife." He was smiling wide though so the joke was obvious.
--
Maura's face brightened. "I had pancakes!" she announced with wide-eyed delight. Pancakes were amazing; Mo loved pancakes. Then Regan snapped to attention and Maura followed. She hadn't heard whatever had apparently drawn Regan to the conversation so she kept her ears perked, waiting to hear.

Certainly Cian could've told them that, but one could always wonder. There was always that lingering question of if they made the right decision, if this was supposed to happen. And for them, it was. Just knowing that solidly, being able to grasp that, being able to wholly believe that and never have that doubting question... It brought tears back to her eyes though she laughed, arm still linked with her husbands when she turned to look at Dean.
Dean, who needed to get to his wife. Who needed to talk to God, as well.
"Where is... She?"
Instantly her grin fell and she shifted on her feet. "She...had to leave. Abruptly. I'm sure she'll be back." Someday. Eventually. Cian would have his turn. Perhaps not forced by her, perhaps in his own due time, when he was ready to face Her. She could sense Dean was struggling with this God thing, and that he had some questions ready for her.
She tried to look at Cian positively. "In your own time, I guess. She'll come to you, I know She will." She knew them personally, didn't She? After all, they were given Luna.
Pivoting on her heels, she put her hands on her hips and looked down at her daughter. "Well, Maura-mine. Don't I get a hello?"

"I had pancakes!"
Ray's eyes flicked to each person as they talked, but before long grew bored. "Yumm." She grinned over at her. Her head flicked, pony tails flying to the opposite side of her face as she looked back at Dean. "Daddeh." She pointed, her arm outstretched, her hand opening and closing. Her signal for him to come get her. He had promised to play. ---
He'd gotten lost in their conversation, and his own thoughts. But Regan's little voice made him snap right out of it. He looked down, smiling as she waved him over. His soft smile turned to a grin as he bent down before running towards her. "Rawr!" He chuckled, snatching her up, ticking her tummy.

[[It's okay. I swallow.]]
He wasn't sure if he was disappointed that God was gone. He had questions, sure. But he was a human. He wasn't meant to ask God anything, to question Divinity... Did he? He didn't know. All he knew was that he would love to know why his fucking sister had to be taken away. But aside from that, he was content with the mysteries in his life remaining mysteries. There were some things he wasn't meant to know and he could accept that.
Cian shrugged ambivalently. She would come to him or she wouldn't. He was fine with either, really.
--
"Momma!" Maura immediately called, running to her with open arms. "Joo were kissin' Daddy!" she countered. That's why she hadnt hello'd her Mom; she had been busy.

Regn shrieked out, trying to evade his arms that were ever so close to scooping her up. But it was useless, she could never outrun him. She laughed loudly as he tickled her. "Daddeh no!" She giggled. --
He laughed softly, moving Regan into one arm as he swept over and pick Maura up right before she leaped into Emma's arms. He shot a playful grin towards Emma before twirling the girls around in his arms. "Ah! I got you!"
